The ABCs of spinnerbaits...PERFECT VIDEO... B.Lat ...Your a great ...natural teacher.... Been throwing spinnerbaits for 40 years....NOTHING will EVER replace it.... "They knock the booty out of it"....perfect..... that is the most fun of using one...
I ran across one of your videos today and immediately subscribed. Man, you keep it down to earth and real but a whole lot of info. Keep it up and good luck in all of your events!
Awesome Clinic BLat!! thanks so much in sharing this information with US. I have several Spinnerbaits in my arsenal which I use quite often, unfortunately haven't caught anything with them yet. Hopefully putting these ideas to work I can finally get the Skunk out of my Spinnerbaits for sure!!When you talk I listen B.Lat!! Thanks for such Instructional video.
I'm new to fishing, I have really enjoyed your videos always helpful. I pulled my first largemouth bass after using your advice on chatterbate . Thanks for the great videos!
I'm a spinnerbait freak and pour my own . I dont use a lot of different sizes and colors . I use the weight that matches my equipment for precise low trajectory casting and just a couple of blade configurations and colors .
Though I caught my PB on a chatter bait, I prefer fishing a spinnerbait most of the time. Only in very heavy grass is the CB better for me. For my area, I throw more bluegill and yellow perch colors. I throw a gold blade more often than not.
My boat always has a 5/16 mouse finesse spinnerbait on one rod and a 1/2 or 5/8 on a second rod. For me August into October is always my best bite down here in GA. I cant catch fish on chatterbaits.
I've yet to catch a bass on a chatterbait, plenty of pike though. I have however caught a TON of bass on spinnerbait. It's versatile, it's proven, and I can ALMOST always catch a bass on them. The spinnerbait gets my vote as the king.
Hey blat wanna throw this out there but lipless crankbaits work fantastic for big bass on the potomac. I lived in virginia when i was stationed at fort lee we fished a lot of smallish bank tournaments there and lipless crankbaits are a must have setup for five pound plus bass there and theres a lot in the 5+ range
I remember my paw paw saying he had a 1550 Ford 4 door and on Friday night everybody on the streer would come to listen to the fight on its AM radio, station was out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He lived in the piedmont of NC. Gear ratio info helped a bunch. Thanks Brian.
I have friends that used to accuse me of being addicted to spinnerbaits. Knew a CSM in the Army that called spinnerbaits my “one trick pony”. I have other skills and favs, (like jigs) but there are few other lures that are as good or better as search baits. I think we all gravitate to a lure or lures that become our most efficient tools, then we branch out from there.
Hey bud I got a little tip and trick for you with your trailer there your little swim bait put it on upside down and then just throw your either your ChatterBait or your spinnerbait and watch the movement you get just a quick tip
I appreciate the in-depth explanations of the blades, when to have a soft plastic & when to add a trailer hook. Gonna have to tie on a spinner bait this weekend and use some of these tips!
Went and did a little pond fishing yesterday. Caught 4 bass between 1 and 2 lbs on a 1/4 oz single copper willow leaf blade spinnerbait. First time I've used a spinnerbait in a few years. Use to be one of my favorites and then it kind of went by the wayside. I will definitely thrown them more often from now on, just love that spinnerbait bite.
Great video Brian. I use the spinnerbait all of the time. It is still KING on the Ohio River. Especially small three willow models during shad spawn. Slow rolling an Indiana blade through shad schools during fall is a hot technique too.
I throw a spinner bait. We are about the same age. But I look at them as 2 completely different things in regards to what I want it for. Spinner has thump but personally I want the flash the big blades give you. Chatter bait has a lot of vibration but for me is hard to fish slow and get any action. Im no pro or even very competent at fishing though just how I view it.
A lot of people still throw spinnerbaits. It's all about the right tool for the job. Spinnerbaits are better near hard cover while chatterbaits are better need soft cover. If you get a bunch of grass tangled in your blades, it ruins your cast and you have to pull out the grass every cast. That's where the chatterbait is better cause you can usually rip the rod to get the grass off. Absolutely love throwing a spinnerbait whenever I can get away with it but sometimes it's just too weedy for it.
Another great presentation. I have a brand new baitcaster that I'm seething to try out. I'm still rather new to the fishing world. Do you have a video where you teach us how to tie a spinner bait to the main line?
I never used to fish a spinnerbait for yrs or a chatterbait but this yr I got a few jackhammers and a few spinnerbaits and honestly I haven't been able to put the spinnerbait down. Still no fish on the chatterbait though.
*I would say it’s dang good since **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s caught a pike first time using it! My cousin had one that cost the same price I paid, but for one. And didn’t catch anything. I say it’s a winner!*
Awesome! I Still Use Spinner Baits I Recently Caught My PB Large Mouth Bass On A White Skirt Gold Diamond Bladed Skrike King Spinner Bait! Love Your Channel Just Awesome!!!
Love that crushing bite/hit when using a spinnerbait. For me it is all Colorado blades. Larger for more thump or smaller for less. When using a smaller size bait I have even had large blue gill crush it.

Brian, you have the gift of teaching never stop. You have taught me a lot
Just getting back into fishing, last time I fished I was 15 or so. I’m 43 now, learning a lot from your videos and appreciate it greatly.
low light conditions do really well for white blades
What a damn good, honest video. Zero bullshit. Love it!
Great information !
Your video edits are getting better and better. Fav fishing channel these days. 👍
great description man!! I really appreciate your time, I'm a noob, learning a ton!!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks Brian!
Spinnerbaits are my go-to lure. Learned how to use them watching Jimmy Houston years ago.
I ran across one of your videos today and immediately subscribed. Man, you keep it down to earth and real but a whole lot of info. Keep it up and good luck in all of your events!
13:51 I know EXACTLY what you mean 🎣
GOOD STUFF THANKS B LATT
I received a SOB with my BASS membership in 1972 and it has been one of my favorite baits ever since. I’ve caught about a Million bass on one!
Im a big time spinnerbait fisher.....mad props to ya...love ur channel bro.
🔥🔥🔥🎣 I love throwing a spinnerbait all year round
Your intro music is always so good!
Great job explaining. I like spinnerbaits alot.

Great production!

Best into music in fishing film history right there
I'm new to fishing, I have really enjoyed your videos always helpful. I pulled my first largemouth bass after using your advice on chatterbate . Thanks for the great videos!

I throw spinnerbaits all the time up in 🇨🇦 🤘 love them
Man who ever is doing your camera work and editing give them a raise.
Idk camera moves quit a bit feel like im on a roller coaster
Yup feels more personal than all backroom production. Thought it was really good myself.
Big facts
True! His content is very clean and focused. The camera follows his movements in a way thats easy to watch.
Really good video, took a lot of notes on this one, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I love spinner bait and chatter bait throw both a lot
Willow blades mimic schooling bait fish, and Colorado blades create more noise and vibration in the water.
Was really looking for tips on HOW to fish the spinner bait
iCaught big ✌🏾google eyes✌🏾 on spinner baits (rock bass for folks not for Louisiana)… also my biggest bass!
If you're ever in Virginia looking for a place to fish, I'm on the hot side of Lake Anna, would love to have you on my boat. Love your vids...
Awesome video. Basically use the kiss theory.
I love a good Beetle spins man my grandfather taught me to fish. I like the big rooster tails also.
Great video sir
River2sea bling is a nice spinner bait 👌
Great video as always Lat. Your dead on the money with the round profile blade spinnerbaits. I fish mine on a 6.4 reel and sometimes I get too fast.
Personal Best came off a 3/8 all white spinner out of the Ches. Bay! Maybe about 5ft depth. Good Luck this weekend brother!
I'm a spinnerbait freak and pour my own . I dont use a lot of different sizes and colors . I use the weight that matches my equipment for precise low trajectory casting and just a couple of blade configurations and colors .

I still sling them spinners. I keep it simple on colors, something green, something black, and something white with chartreuse
Great video. I felt like we were just two dudes talkin about a bait. Simple and easy yet very comprehensive. Good work 👏
My boat always has a 5/16 mouse finesse spinnerbait on one rod and a 1/2 or 5/8 on a second rod. For me August into October is always my best bite down here in GA. I cant catch fish on chatterbaits.
It's got a little bit of ugh to it......lol. Had me rollin.
I just recently put the spinnerbait back in my boat. Great info Blat. Thanks for the video
Never Ever ... take it back out....
I've yet to catch a bass on a chatterbait, plenty of pike though. I have however caught a TON of bass on spinnerbait. It's versatile, it's proven, and I can ALMOST always catch a bass on them. The spinnerbait gets my vote as the king.
Question.....what is a way to keep the skirt from slipping off of a spinnerbait/buzzbait?
I like your camera work. Feels natural and not overly rehearsed.
I love spinners.

I lived in virginia when i was stationed at fort lee we fished a lot of smallish bank tournaments there and lipless crankbaits are a must have setup for five pound plus bass there and theres a lot in the 5+ range
Straight forward and simple thanks for the vid
Camera man needa raise 😂

I have accidentally found out that Hula sticks are great spinner and chatter trailers and you can still put a trailer hook on it.
That’s great to know!
Great content. Is you compartment organizer specific to falcon boats?
You've convinced me to give them a try. Thx!

Thank you for all the tips brother!
Thanks B. I need to up my spinnerbait game.
Keep em coming, love the delivery and knowledge bombs my man.
Hey bud I got a little tip and trick for you with your trailer there your little swim bait put it on upside down and then just throw your either your ChatterBait or your spinnerbait and watch the movement you get just a quick tip
B. Lat, I saw this notification, put on a spinner bait, and caught a pb pike. 32 inches. Thanks you 🙏🏻
Really appreciate these videos Brian! They are a good reminder of back when all I knew was chucking and burning back a spinnerbait/chatterbait.
I appreciate the in-depth explanations of the blades, when to have a soft plastic & when to add a trailer hook. Gonna have to tie on a spinner bait this weekend and use some of these tips!
I just learned more about these in 15 minutes than I have in all the years I’ve been fishing with them.
BLAT Coming in clutch!!! Talking about my favorite bait of all time i have it tied on 100% of the time. It gets thrown no matter what!!!
Z-man has the best spinnerbaits on the market right now. They have consistently out fished every other brand I throw including megabass.

Where at? I would love to come meet a pro.. maybe drop me a few tips on fishing rivers.. I’m maybe 20-30 mins from the Potomac
You ever try a sprinker frog trailer. It allows you to slow roll close to the surface
Great video Brian. I use the spinnerbait all of the time. It is still KING on the Ohio River. Especially small three willow models during shad spawn. Slow rolling an Indiana blade through shad schools during fall is a hot technique too.
I too am a life long member of the spinnerbait society! Get em Ol' Son!
Whoever gave the dislikes, I hope you get a bird’s nest every time you go fishing 😂
Are u gonna go back to the opens to qualify? Or are u going the mlf route

Good point, I agree. I haven't been able to slow roll my spinnerbaits because the bottom 2 feet are algae and the spinnerbaits get caked.
How did you do today man?
Wish you had talk about wire getting messed up after a big fish on how to fix it without braken the wire
Do you use fluorocarbon with your spinnerbaits
Another great presentation. I have a brand new baitcaster that I'm seething to try out. I'm still rather new to the fishing world. Do you have a video where you teach us how to tie a spinner bait to the main line?

I grew up in the DC area and fished the Potomac a LOT growing up are you from the DMV as well? If so what's your home lake?
Love that crushing bite/hit when using a spinnerbait. For me it is all Colorado blades. Larger for more thump or smaller for less. When using a smaller size bait I have even had large blue gill crush it.
I love spinnerbait fishing. Always have it tie on.
I fish the great lakes, painted blades killer for smallies
I use back for nite !!!!!!
Idk why but it's hard for me to want to throw a spinnerbait
I have always loved fishing a spinner bait. I have probably caught more fish on a spinner bait than any other lure type. It is still a “go-to” for me.
The spinnerbait had caught millions of bass, when the chatterbait was a twinkle in his daddy’s eye 😎
150k n counting 👀
Am I the only one that thinks he looks younger and younger in every video?
