The First Descendant is a free third-person cooperative action RPG shooter featuring high-quality graphics. Sadly, the AI is awful. If by "chill shooter" you mean that all the enemies are just bullet sponges standing there aiming at you and nothing more... I played it, tested a few characters, and "different" enemies but every encounter was the same boring stuff because the enemies only stand there. The only thing you have to worry about is the type of armor/shield, but that is covered by weapons rather than the characters themselves.
The game just lacks enjoyable gameplay, not in a competitive sense, but it becomes plain and boring after a couple of hours. I played a lot of Destiny and was expecting improved gameplay, but it felt more like another Anthem, with nice characters but cardboard enemies.
The big boss was fun but even there you can ignore the mechanics if you have enough firepower, and surprise, as a korean game, that firepower can be bought... played with randoms that killed the boss so fast that i had no time to knew what i was supposed to do.

Almost all humans were wiped out. We fought back! Sounds familiar? I can go on and on about this damn story telling. They’re all the same! So saying this game is soulless might as well say the rest are all soulless. It’s a free fucking game meant to be chill. What else do y’all want? For those on the fence, don’t listen to all these assholes! Try the game out for yourself. It is actually fun. If you have friends even better. But the game let people join your mission and it helps you go through missions faster. There is no perfect game! Always have flaws but for a free game this shit is popping!

Played it in the beta, its just not a game to take serious. Kinda goof around with on your free time if you get bored. And its free so theres no harm trying it out

Great game for its price (free), the best thing about it is that it's not too hard or competitive like most other modern shooters. Combine that with a great and interesting story and get a truly amazing game for it's price (free)

It’s weird. I want to really harp on this game, but then I think back when warframe came out and it was deff not what it is today.
But then again warframe was actually hella fun and didn’t feel cheap. 🤷🏻♂️
Warframe felt cheap when it came out. Is a free game but this one doesn't feel cheap.
Anthem felt cheap, Destiny felt cheap, No Mans sky felt even cheaper when it came out.
I think the gameplay loop does get boring eventually. I am about 3 hours in, does it get better? Does the story progress in an interesting fashion.
I won’t say that it gets better but the story is fun I just finished the hole story intill they drop the next story it’s a lot more fun if you grind for other other characters when you unlock hangman boss that’s when shit hits the fan

Jeez, what a soulless looking game. Environments look procedurally generated, every character looks like they're from a different franchise, nothing has any weight to it at all. Even the way damage numbers pop is too uncanny. I noticed parts where the squad would see a huge enemy and just stunlock it with multiple headshots. Oh, there's actually a mob named "The Soulless" you can't make this stuff up!
Looks like a Chinese or Japanese Outriders, a game that was already soulless and boring

Destiny was original. This is just a copy. And a bad one at that. I was laughing at the stuff they blatantly were ripping from Destiny and the campaign is nothing more than do these 3 open world missions - 1 Destiny like strike and 1 boss fight. Repeat.
