The body style of this vehicle is 17 years old and really only a two-seater, built on an ice vehicle platform. That noise of a simulated engine is annoying, Ev's are mean to be practically silent. Like all European Ev's, they will be overpriced for the Australian market, a lot of better choices for the price, especially when the BYD Dolphin mini (Seagull) goes on sale here in 2025, which will be close to half the price of this vehicle tested here.
I'd prefer the (fake) engine noise to the creepy ice-cream-van-serial-killer option on some other vehicles 😕. As long as there are several options, whatever helps people make the jump I think is a good thing (even if I personally might not use it).
Slightly off-topic, sorry, I know, but I have seen lots of reports online that BYDs are not compatible with Tesla gen 3 & 4 superchargers. Have you tried your BYD Seal with these newer superchargers and what have you found? (I have a Seal on order and a new closest supercharger has just opened a convenient ~2 hrs south of me, but I'm keen to know whether or not it will be of any use to me.)
I haven’t tried but there are enough reports on social media and plug share to know that the Seal and Atto 3 are still not compatible with V3/4 Tesla Superchargers (April 2024)

$60k for a tiny sub par EV is absolutely ridiculous, particularly when it is based on a car that not that long ago you could get for under 20k
Clearly Stellantis are not going for a large volume of sales
It is not a car, it's a toy.
0-100 in 7 in an EV with an abarth badge is massively underwhelming.
I was hoping for a zippier ride 😁
That fake engine noise is very annoying I'd be turning it off completely, some Rev-Heads would love it I suppose.
Same, it’s way too loud lol

Bring on the Dolphin Mini!
that external noise is stupid. No wonder non Tesla/BYD EVs are not selling with this kind of poor quality rubbish.
I think a lot of money was spent on the development of the noise …
lol at $58,000 price why wouldn't I just go buy a BYD seal?
It’s a lot of coin isn’t it!
It’s a wealthier persons weekend toy
making this EV is quite stupid and spending so much money to buy this cheaply finished car is even more stupid...
Idiotically priced for what it is. Old Tech. No thanks.
Badges are expensive 🤑
"Fake" engine sound is pretty cool. It would be good if Tesla had that option. I do like Ioniq 5N implementation better. More realistic.
The Ioniq 5N version definitely sounds better
A cute car , but when you get down to it , a bit costly
Yup that’s what it boils down to
Overpriced compared to Chinese evs. It is very poor. Typical offering from European manufacturers.
Yup hard to compete on pricing alone
Why does this look like a fiat 500? Did this company rip off fiat?
Abarth is the performance division of Fiat
It’s great to have more EV choices
For sure 👍

Yup well said 👍
Someone will find this appealing
Something would have to be pretty compelling for me to ask for deposit back on Dynamic Seal. This isn't it. Even if in the showroom today.
Oh well.
The Seal represents amazing value
I don like it.
Fair nuf

@@LudicrousFeed Thanks
Cute car but that fake engine noise can definately go😅
Lucky it can be easily switched off 😅
Reminds me of a Nissan Micra with the shape and lights.
Same energy 😁
👏👏
