Asked if he was positive about reaching a deal with US president Donald Trump over nuclear disarmament, Kim said it was too early to tell whether a deal could be reached. However, he said he had a 'feeling that good results would come out' of the talks and that he was not pessimistic. Trump then asks a nearby photographer to make sure he sends his pictures to Kim

Kim Jong Il never spoke at all. Even normal North Koreans didn't know what he sounded like (they heard his voice in public literally once or twice EVER), and they didn't know he'd been abroad until he had returned again.
Kim Jong Un is very different. He is constantly talking and North Koreans are hearing about his trips in real time while he's still away.
well, it seems like this is part of making his image more akin to a "peoples' person", a rebranding of sorts compared to his father, his sister seems to be largely responsible for that too behind the scenes

Although Donald is far from perfect, I felt safer knowing he had close relations with the likes of Russia and China etc, and I'm from the UK. Establishing a line of communications, in my opinion is very important between countries.
