You have my sincerest respect and appreciation for all the hard work and dedication with which you keep the memory of Franco Corelli alive! Many qualities are necessary for such a painstaking search and systematization of sources, but above all a great love of music and passion, which you clearly possess.
Thank you very much for the video and your excellent translation to it. This interview, along with the concerts, given by Franco Corelli in 1981, became, in fact, not just an episode, but an epilogue of his long way in Opera Wonderland. Though his magic voice still owned most of its power, and palette, and passion, beaming like a flame in the depth of the sea, both the play and the tempest were nearly over then. Melted into thin air, the spirit actors left the stage already, and the wizard's ship sailed away from the lonely island. Ariel got his freedom at last. I consider this interview to be the best one, made by Stefan Zucker and his team. It is a really brilliant show, bright and "sweet", with a light shade of the golden fall. Musical playback among the current talk seems quite natural - not "live", but ready to "believe"; Radames still remains true to his heart, Don Jose is desperately tender, Manrico is brave, Calaf is invincible, and Granada sounds vigorous and swift as tornado. At his 60+ Corelli is handsome, noble, athletic, looking strong and young as ever. The WINNER - what else he can and will be? Many thanks to everyone who kept and saved for us the name, voice, image of the great singer and man; who created, collected, prepared, published and posted on the Web marvelous recordings of Dario Franco Corelli, his photos, videos, operas, interviews. The whole love is not enough, and the world, available for us today, may be only our memory of him - but this is a living memory.
What's not to like ? I get to hear the great Franco Corelli and practise my Italian at the same time. Younger Italians need to know this music. Banal pop music is not the only genre that people should be listening to.
Hehe when the doctor comes in and gives his assessment on Franco, it's like one of those moments when a drunk guy starts talking about how awesome his friend is, but in this setting soberly and eloquently. Maybe it's an Italian thing to talk like that about somebody sitting next? Anyway I love it and wish it was more common! Not beating around the bush.

CORELLI. CORELLI. CORELLI. Gli atri tutti un gradino sotto. ❤
Voleva dire nuovo mondo probabilmente....L'America etc
Are you high????
Justifying racism has always been Italy's strategy.
@@arthur.monticelliARE YOU HIGH!!?
That was the exact terminology taught at the time. Not to mention how RACIST AND SEGREGATED ITALY STILL IS TODAY.
