I have a 2016 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription. I get 9.8L/100kms with 165,000kms and still going strong. It looks nearly identical in every facet of every review I've seen to this new one. I don't see why on earth I'd go into even more debt than the first time around with this car. The lesson for the consumer, if you love Volvo's, then buy one and keep it forever. The lesson for manufacturers, doubling down on EV's when governments don't commit to charging infrastructure upgrades in the process, is a recipe for disaster. Now these companies have to charge more for their traditional vehicles in order to recoup their EV investments. This has been lose-lose for everyone! My recommendation: buy a preowned, well-maintained Volvo XC90 because it's a far better buy than this new one which is nearly identical, trust me!
XC90 has shit engines. It’s a shame, but I’d really like one, if the engines were just up to par. But they aren’t, at least for the European market. The diesels are crap after 100k miles. They start malfunctioning and it’s way too expensive to fix them. Therefore the Volvo is NOT a „buy and keep forever“ car anymore.
Dan, I will wait until Volvo is a Swedish company again making cars in Nova Scotia before I get too excited.
Hahaha! Something tells me you’ll be waiting a long while, my friend!

My 2019 XC90 Inscription in Magic Blue and Amber Nappa is still perfect for me. When it's time , it'll be another XC90!
