I started the carnivore (elimination diet) 30 days ago, for health (headaches and feeling lousy, low energy etc) and the first thing that struck me, was the ecological aspect: from the market i but a kg of ground beef i one plastic bag, a few steaks is one plastic bag. Egg cartons are all recycled carton, bacon is packaged by 150g which i empty in one day, but from the market i can buy with a lot less packaging. And the meat is all from my home country, which is max 300km radius. And i feel super good and full of energy. While 30 days ago i still needed all 30 kg of veggies to be brought to my snowy home from sunny Chile, argentina, Africa, Poland, Spain, because we don’t have them growing here in the snow. I am thankful for every bit of life i get from the animals that that are killed so that i can be healthy. And i do not waste anyones life, it is much too precious.

Imagine a psychiatrist running labs to find nutrient deficiencies to help patients . It would be less costly than monthly meds and less toxic , and it would actually help more !
Not the plan of big pharma to identify the cause and address it through nutrition. Medical schools are owned by big pharma. Thankfully we now know there are answers that do not require big pharma products. Thank you for the amazing presentation.
Great insight. I know and experience this but well said. To misquote the father of medicine: let food be your medicine rather than have medicines be your 'food'. The dose is the cure or the poison.
@@NutritionwithJudy Inflammation and oxidative stress disorder play a key role in the likes of depression So why then, do you think its a good idea to militantly remove all healthy whole plant foods which contain some of the most potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients and phyto-nutrients which have been shown to attenuate inflammatory and oxidative stress disorders in various diseases? Theres no logic to carnivore, infact doing so just make these conditions worse, by providing even less healthy phyto-chemicals than even the SAD diet.
I need to show this to my mom who has a masters in nutrition. It might just be what she needs to see in order to realize that I'm not going to have a heart attack eating a low carb diet. Nice work Judy!
You might not have a heart attack eating a low carb diet You will most certainly increase your risk of a heart attack following this dangerous extreme 100% all meat/animal food no healthy whole plant carnivore pseudoscience I've come across 2 individuals already who have had a heart attack on this carnivore nonsense already. Numerous others wil alarming "arteriogenic" lab work with off the charts LDL-C readings and numerous other abnormal markers.
@@TheNaturalHealthBlogger Risk is a cause and effect statement, which requires that you have a properly designed experiment to back up such a claim. No such experiment exists anywhere that I'm aware of. On top of that the vast amount of anecdotal evidence that we do have seems to heavily lean towards people improving there overall health for the better. As far as the two people you are referring to who have had heart attacks while on a low carb/carnivore diet goes; how can you be certain that they told you the truth about what they were consuming as far as food, drink, supplements, etc goes? And high LDL is not a concern for human beings. If you would like to verify what I'm saying there is a gentleman here on TH-cam by the name of Bart Kay. Yes i'm well aware of Bart Kay his name gets parroted to me everyday on here as if hes debunked LDL-C when he hasn't and its the usual pseudoscience justifying of LDL-C as if it suddenly makes it not an independent risk factor "Consistent evidence from numerous and multiple different types of clinical and genetic studies unequivocally establishes that LDL causes ASCVD. Two points….. I was worried about vitamin C when I stated the keto then to carnivore diet change and was blown away the day I realized my gums didn’t bleed anymore when I flossed even after missing a few days. Also, thank you so much finally somebody pointing out that livestock is not the major source of greenhouse gasses that is being so aggressively pushed by the plant based people. I worked in agriculture my whole career and know that when you look at the carbon footprint for row crop product, the transportation of and then the manufacturing of processed foods, the comparison is stunning. And that goes for the fake plant based and “keto” processed products as well.
This doesn't suddenly equate to that you don't require vitamin C anymore or that you can just consume a vitamin C depleted extreme all meat fad diet All it means is that your gum issues such as bleeding, were from a different cause. Whilst vitamin C deficiency is a common cause of bleeding gums, its by far not the only, gingivitis, periodontal disease etc. Could simply be the change of diet altered your oral microbiome by not providing as much refined sugars etc or removal of inflammatory processed foods etc.
great point about the carbon footprint, it's so frustrating the amount of false beliefs out there. also since I have ditched sugar and grains fifteen years ago going primal I have had not one caries. Before that three or four each year

Another good vidio ! Thank you. After the sad American diet I was plant based for many years, health keep declining, ended up with infection in gallbladder with gallstones and not feeling well. Still include a few low oxalate low fodmap vegetables olives and berries but I would say I eat a 90% animal based diet.

Great video presentation! I'm relatively new to the carnivore diet community... and your video has provided me with lots of evidence based information. Thank you, Judy.
Not only high water use for almonds but other inputs should be factored in. Thousands of bee colonies are trucked in for Pollination from all over the country. These colonies also need supplemental feed. One of the way this is accomplished is feeding high fructose corn syrup.
Excellent information - I only wish doctors in UK would stop promoting low fat diets, and the supermarkets would stock more full fat yoghurt choices, etc instead of low fat frankenfood
thanks for being so bright, openminded and explaining so well! this makes a lot of sense. hopefully humanity will come to a realization that meat and healthy high fats are not harmful to us... but I'd guess it's going to take many years until we see a bigger change. Love your approach, I have been doing so much research over the carnivore, diet and community. I had been being seen by so many different doctors for two years, I was suffering and basically slowly dying, and no one could tell me what was happening, and all my testing came back normal every single time I finally found a Doctor Who recommended changing my diet to the carnivore diet. I am going on my third week and to be honest I thought it sounded crazy and I was kind of upset that I had just paid X amount of money for a doctor to tell me to drink water and eat beef. But I hadn’t tried it before and I was exhausted my resources and I knew if something didn’t change fast, I may not be around to do anything about it. I was having really bizarre laundry list of physical, mental and emotional symptoms and lo and behold the first week of the carnivore diet was really really hard and I don’t think that something enough people talk about. It was literally a detox. I was even getting flu like symptoms, throwing up, feeling very weak and fatigued, and it was not fun, but simultaneously I was immediately already seeing improvements loading completely went away. I don’t remember last time I’ve seen my stomach this flat and I am petite. I’m not very big, but I would walk around looking like I was 3 to 5 months pregnant and I just started to think it was normal. I started sleeping better, I started waking up randomly at five and 6 AM with no alarm, day, nine and 10 on the carnivore diet, I didn’t even realize I had brain fog, but it all cleared, and I just felt true bless I saw a bliss that I don’t ever remember feeling and I remember hope started being restored from my house because I really didn’t think I was gonna make it and I didn’t know it was wrong with me and neither did the doctors and I started to regain hope but I was going to hell and then I was going to be OK and so far going on week three I think my body is still adapting but overall the positive changes I already have a laundry list so I can only imagine if I am getting significant improvements literally just within a week one I can only imagine what it’s actually doing to the inside of my body which is what I needed. I needed Helen and I am sticking with it and I am being strict with it and disciplined. There are days that I have cravings but my body is already adjusting so quickly that the moment I eat something that does not agree I will know immediately and I would rather not feel like that so for now I am doing best with beef and eggs. I’m doing a little fish and some chicken it’s all pasture raise, grass fed, and grass finished, just so that way I’m not getting any of the greens, soy, etc. from the animals because my doctor truly believes I was having sensitivities in my body which was causing major inflammation, and I was on my way to some serious health issues if not reversed. Moral of the story out of everyone I’ve heard from so far your representation is the best! I love your approach, I love your perspective and I am so happy I found you thank you for your work. Seriously, thank you! And as a woman to find another woman who is extremely educated, and informed it makes me feel so much more safe doing this.
While sharing this upload with people, I first need to assure them that this 45 minute presentation is filled with very valuable bits of legit knowledge, and to maybe watch this in small doses in order to not overload their attention span. I've been animal based for a few years and love how my body appreciates it. I especially like how my body and brain feel on pasture raised raw egg yolks and unpasteurised (raw) grass fed butter. I eat the butter throughout the day for fuel - it's wonderful ! On days that I consume 8-10 egg yolks, my thinking process and attention to details is noticeably much stronger. Thank you for displaying the literature to help explain the processes.
Great video Judy. Would love to hear more about the prevalence of parasites & candida contributing to autoimmune and gut issues as it relates to oxalate dumping/release. (Dr. Amin, parasite testing). Thanks for your great videos/interviews- loved the one about iodine!
@@NutritionwithJudy Why would an "all meat" dangerous fad diet address fungal overgrowth such as candida? It does little to nothing to correct the underlying factors behind opportunistic infections such as candida, such as low stomach acid and/or dysbiotic flora. It is primarily the prebiotic fibers in the diet which support the gut flora, which in turn produce various acids/short-chain fatty acids which keep candida in its harmless yeast form rather than fungal hyphal overgrowth form. A diet completely void of al dietary fiber for dysbiosis is ridiculous pseudo-science and would imbalance the gut flora further. It only temporarily reduces symptoms by restricting fermentable carbs, which cause symptoms like gas, bloating etc in these individuals ,however does nothing to correct the underlying root causes. Dietary oxalates are not involved in candida etc, this carnivore pseudo-science is getting out of control.
@@TheNaturalHealthBlogger We never need fiber, and carbs are what feed fungi, cancer and much more. Studying biochemistry and reading through the thousands upon thousands of carnivore success stories will help your understanding a great deal. There are carnivores who have been doing this for 20, 30, 40, 50+ years and they are thriving in optimal health and vitality, so it´s not just a temporary fix as you are trying to say. Animal fat and protein are the only two essential macronutrients needed by humans. #Biochemistry #NoSuchThingAsEssentialCarbs #MeatHeals #FatHeals
@@Terri_2.0 Just like the supposed 60+ year raw/vegan/fruitarian wonder testimonials and all of them cheating with a range of foods they demonize. Same as these carnivores Fiber is essential if you want to maintain a healthy gut microbiome, prebiotic fibers are the primary component of the diet for supportin the flora. Lots of things can imbalance the flora, not just excessive sugar. Low fiber, high meat/high fat western style diets also have been shown to conditionally increase pathogenic bacteria associated with colorectal cancer development
Just found your channel and really enjoying the education I’m getting. For your education i would recommend listening to Alan Savory. i have felt horrible on carnivore, hypothyroid acting up, fatigue i don't understand what i am missing. good for those that it helps. still on it trying to not give up.
Bravo. Overall presentation is excellent. I think you presented well The argument for the ultimate elimination /ketogenic diet known as Carnivore. I do believe there is need to stress further the adverse affects of plants when ingested. And the one thing I would make clear during any discussion about Carnivore, is that Carnivore does away away with sugars and replaces the sugar with animal saturated fat. If you don’t get enough fat and do no or low sugar snd high protein one will develop Ravit disease. Most people who begin a ketogenic diet including Carnivore make this mistake. 70-80% animal saturated fat & the rest animal protein etc. Again, a standing ovation. Cheers, Dr. Ginge
Something to mention apart from the effect of gluten on the gut is the negative effect of pepper. Pepper will irritate our gut and cause leaky gut which allows more unwanted things to pass through the gut into our bloodstream. Acidic alkaloids can harm the cells lining the intestinal tract, leading to intestinal permeability or leaky gut syndrome. Supplement companies use piperine from pepper to make the gut leaky as though it's a good thing, to improve absorption of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.

Well I don't do coffee at all. I did do many different levels of low and ultra low carb over the last 20 years. I've been at zero carbs nearly every day of the last 10 1/2 months. There are exceptions. In April or May there was a day I had a squeeze of lemon. In November there was a week when I had about 10 blueberries at a time on at least three different occasions that week. Plus there is actually some small amount of carbs in eggs and in scallops, both of which I've had occasionally. While I can't claim to be 100% strictly zero carb, I'm mighty close to it. Someday maybe all this meat and sea salt and water will all pay off.
Since eating mostly meat my bloodwork is the best it's ever been, apart from endocrine and mental health issues - I've had to double my thyroid meds since summer. My acne, pmdd and long/irregular cycles have become worse. My mental health and autism are as bad as before if not worse. Any pointers what I'm doing wrong or what's going on?

Science? I don't see hardly any studies referenced yet I hear al kinds of absolute nonsense quoted from people like Gundry without any actual scientific backing.

Wow! I'm astonished! I'm new to this whole world. I have been eating very little meat for 2 decades. I'm here because my little one hasn't walked in more than 2 months because of arthritis in his knee and ankle.
Do you know where I can guidance online on how to do the elimination carnivore diet for him?
Imagine a psychiatrist running labs to find nutrient deficiencies to help patients . It would be less costly than monthly meds and less toxic , and it would actually help more !
Not the plan of big pharma to identify the cause and address it through nutrition. Medical schools are owned by big pharma. Thankfully we now know there are answers that do not require big pharma products. Thank you for the amazing presentation.
YES! and in my new book, I share that mental health may also mostly be from inflammation and NOT serotonin deficiencies!

@@NutritionwithJudy Inflammation and oxidative stress disorder play a key role in the likes of depression
So why then, do you think its a good idea to militantly remove all healthy whole plant foods which contain some of the most potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients and phyto-nutrients which have been shown to attenuate inflammatory and oxidative stress disorders in various diseases?
Theres no logic to carnivore, infact doing so just make these conditions worse, by providing even less healthy phyto-chemicals than even the SAD diet.
I need to show this to my mom who has a masters in nutrition. It might just be what she needs to see in order to realize that I'm not going to have a heart attack eating a low carb diet. Nice work Judy!
You might not have a heart attack eating a low carb diet
You will most certainly increase your risk of a heart attack following this dangerous extreme 100% all meat/animal food no healthy whole plant carnivore pseudoscience
I've come across 2 individuals already who have had a heart attack on this carnivore nonsense already.
He holds three advanced research degrees and is a senior level scientist. Feel free to get in touch with him and check out his channel.
@@patrickchastain2489 Haha yeah funny how the carnivores are only interested in quantifying these ancedotes when they are negative.
Yet these carnivores will swallow anything these carnivores tell them, when they are eating and cheating with all sorts of plants making out they are "strict carnivore" and all sorts of lies.
Yes i'm well aware of Bart Kay his name gets parroted to me everyday on here as if hes debunked LDL-C when he hasn't and its the usual pseudoscience justifying of LDL-C as if it suddenly makes it not an independent risk factor

The study that you have just cited is more than likely to be full of holes and would be easily debunked by someone like Bart Kay and perhaps even myself if I had some time to look through it.
As far as the pseudo carnivores go, you'll find that in any given dietary group that there are people who claim to be one thing when they are not. Just look at the vegan community for instance.
With regards to negative side effects of carnivore go: there are plenty of videos on here discussing those and how to approach correcting them. On this channel alone (Nutrition with Judy) amongst many others, you'll find really good information on low carb/keto/carnivore diets.

Hi Rachel, love Your book, am recommending it to friends and patients !
Judy, while listening to your presentation, it brought back memories of when I ate all this sort of shit, which did not do my body good! I'm grateful my body woke me up to begin correcting my nutritional needs. As I'm completing my third year of carnivore eating, my body feels 30 years younger. I anticipate to live past 100 easily!
We have a longitudinal study that has been going on for 72 years... it's called the SAD diet. This study didn't ask anyone anything. I would say it's the most accurate observational study that is based solely on health outcomes...I think the study has given us everything we need to know about the food in the SAD diet...CASE CLOSED.
PS...it involved over 500 million patients.
Not only a great video Judy, as usual, but so impressive that you respond to so many of the comments. Truly unique

This doesn't suddenly equate to that you don't require vitamin C anymore or that you can just consume a vitamin C depleted extreme all meat fad diet
All it means is that your gum issues such as bleeding, were from a different cause.

Not only high water use for almonds but other inputs should be factored in. Thousands of bee colonies are trucked in for Pollination from all over the country. These colonies also need supplemental feed. One of the way this is accomplished is feeding high fructose corn syrup.

If you can't get rid of candida on an all-meat diet long-term, consider mold.
@@NutritionwithJudy sorry Judy pls reply can u get rid of candida by eating eggs???
Same as these carnivores
Fiber is essential if you want to maintain a healthy gut microbiome, prebiotic fibers are the primary component of the diet for supportin the flora.
Lots of things can imbalance the flora, not just excessive sugar.
Low fiber, high meat/high fat western style diets also have been shown to conditionally increase pathogenic bacteria associated with colorectal cancer development

Cheers, Dr. Ginge

Very good information! This will help me when talking to my family and friends who have either diabetes or auto immune issues, and all are overweight.

Wow. Imagine how how some people's sugar intake has to be for the average to be for the average to be over 170lbs per year. That's shocking to think that's averaging out all the people including someone like me who may literally had less than 1lb a year for the last 10 or 15 years
Its not just sugar carbs turn into sugar all refinned or processed foods have sugar fruit and some vegetables have sugar starch potatoes pasta it sucks so lowering ur blood sugar is not so easy except if you follow a fairly strict carnivor/Keto diet hey I love vegetables to. But if I wanna tank my blood sugar level this is my diet I wondered for years what I could safely eat n not starve n lose weight and control my A1C. and intermitant fasting l its easy if you know a gfew Hacks like bullet proof coffee basically NCT oil lor biugtter in your coffee reduces your hunger craving hormone grehlin or time restricted eating.
Thank you for all this valuable information!
