    I hope this talk brings hope and true encouragement for healing. If I can heal, YOU can heal. Thank you to my husband, Kevin, for sharing. It took him 3+ years to share this video, and I'm grateful he saw the importance of sharing our story and putting his camera-shyness secondary. Thank you for letting us share our story. HEALING IS POSSIBLE!

      Judy, I wonder if you had parasites, bad bacteria (such as PANDAS = look up), bad virus or virus or maybe vitamin & Mineral defiency after carrying a child/childbirth during this time. Our govt pushes the "mental illness" propaganda over and over. But, infact lots of mental issues are from public or well water that has been contaminated with chemicals/virus/bacteria or when someone eats veggies, meat, fish etc that have worm eggs or other parasites. This all can throw off your hormone causes more havoc with thinking and your health.
      Dr Group (see his yt chan) believes 90% of US citizens have parasites. In the old days this was part of just routine health to do parasites cleanses twice a year and for doctors to diagnose patients with parasites when they were sick or had "mental issues".
      watch on net/yt "Monster within" or something like that name. This show will wake you up to the fact that parasites either worms, bacteria, virus, microparaistes etc can cause major "mental issues". But, it's not metal issues the patient is suffering from they are being caused by parasites that end up in the gut/body even the brain. I hope you look into all of this. It's very easy to pick up parasites everywhere.
      Even Candida overgrowth can cause brain/thinking issues too.
      Our gut & brain work together. 80% of your health is rooted in our gut flora. If our gut flora is not health then we are sick...if our gut flora is health we are literally happy & healhty. it sounds like your gut flora at this time was not healthy which caused you to have "mental issues".
      I believe that the vegan diet causes eating disorders because you are never satified with feeling full. so you keep grazing and you keep feeling like you are not full because the veggies get digested so quickly. So you start this constant eating cycle all day long. Over weeks and months this can get out of hand causeing a eating disorder.
      You are very brave to share this story. ❤You and your husband no doubt will help others who are suffering. ❤

    I developed an eating disorder at age 14 and never got over it until carnivore at age 67. After 4.5 years dirty carnivore. No I know i can. Not. Cheat. Ever. The food in those anorexia inpatient programs perpetuates the eating disorders. I’m so glad you and your husband triumphed over this and now you are helping others.❤

    I tried carnivore based diet and improved some allergy symptoms but made others much worse my kidney disease went from 2nd level to 4th. So it's not good for every one and will put strain on kidneys even my cat was put on meat free rice diet for kidney disease.
    I got your too from.high level uric acid so all in all raw vegan diet was better

    • @silynita
      @silynita ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people who ran into kidney problems on carnivore are probably eating too much protein instead of doing moderate protein/ high fat like in keto diet, don't drink enough water or consume too much salt. Carnivore is tricky and not as simple as what some carnivore influencers make out to be. It's really not simple as 'Just eat fatty meat' because most people have existing health issues before becoming carnivore and everybody is different. Stephanie keto person warns about things like these in her channel. She also talks about other issues on keto and carnivore.

      i hope my mom would listen to this. idk how long but for the past years, she eliminated meat in her diet. she only eat few cans of tuna and fish as her only source of protein and more on bread, carbs and juices.
      she developed a thyroid problem and the dr in my opinion misdiagnosed her. the dr advised her to do hysterectomy and she agreed given in due time, shed eventually undergo menopausal so why not just do the procedure now. however, when i think of it, i guess she wouldnt have the need to experience that massive amount of stress if shed naturally let her body bring about the process of menopause. it wouldnt have been that intense and chaotic.
      if she didnt experience the thyroid problem due to diet, she wouldnt have gone to the dr and have premature hysterectomy.
      whats adding more to her health problem is shes vehemently avoiding sun exposure which ought to give vit D because in our country, a white skin is preferable, coupled with elimination of protein and now shes full of angst and nervousness. she wouldnt listen to advices of eating meat because shes believe meat grows cancer

    Thanks to you both for sharing this. I was there! Hospitalized twice. The second time, I was 31 with 3 little girls, a single mom. My brain was so desperate for food - meat and fat - and I believe this drove the crazy binge behaviors. My brain was trying to survive. On keto, I was better, but I’d get into a cycle of cutting fat and protein and focusing on veg to try to lose more weight. Then, in that way of eating, essentially low fat keto which is all wrong, I’d binge again. But not like before keto. I binged on single ingredient foods. So that was progress. But the behaviors were persistent. I remember my 54th birthday, realizing that even after 4 decades of therapy and meetings and all of the attempts at recovery, maybe I’d never be free. I begged God to heal me completely. Carnivore took away all the food obsessions. Judy, your history encouraged to keep going, to give carnivore a shot. I’m grateful for you and that you’ve shared your history with us on your social media. I needed to relate to someone who’d been through it and had overcome. I am completely free. Thank you.

    Thank you both so much for the courage in sharing your so very difficult journey with your followers. I’m using my granddaughter’s account and as a 75 year old functioning messed up person I’ve also experienced positive changes on primarily meat based. Averaging less than ten carbs a day and working on being carb free. Again, thank you for being so brave. And yes, you have a real keeper in that man of yours. My wife of a quarter of a century is and will always be fifteen years younger than me. She’s on her health journey as well. I’m trying to be the example I never had to encourage her to be a real carnivore. Already I see the changes in her emotional issues with every meat meal she eats. Your journey shared is so very encouraging. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    God bless you for opening up about this, people don't understand how addictive an eating disorder is. My daughter is a nurse and she was the first to address this, having grown up with me, that it isn't a "choice", it is an overpowering impulse, like a drug addiction, or like cigarette smoking. You are very much a lighthouse to those of us who have "been there". Thank you.

    • @NutritionwithJudy
      @NutritionwithJudy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you. Eating disorders are debilitating (as are all addictions), and we need to shed light so there is no more darkness. We as people turn to addictions for numbing and comfort, until it becomes our disability. The more we shed light, the more we can heal our communities-- and sometimes we just need to borrow light from others.

      I would like to suggest that you add in some heavy cream, and maybe some cheese as well, as for some reason dairy products, designed by God to make a baby cow grow, have some appetite-boosting and growth-promoting features. Also stop limiting your "eating window", since that can tend to "shrink your stomach", making it harder to consume sufficient food, whereas three or four smaller meals can also help with weight gain by triggering an insulin reaction. Good ;luck!

    • @NutritionwithJudy
      @NutritionwithJudy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Make sure you eat enough. Track your "eating" for about a week and have an idea of how much you are supposed to eat. Then on most days, try to eat that much so you are not undereating. Calories still matter and excess nutrition will help keep the weight on.

    My appreciation for this woman, for this humble soul only grows, day by day.
    Her aura shines bright, so radiant that you feel you can too, renew your strength if you feel like there is no hope. ✨✨And she is sharing, unselfishly, egoless.
    I haven't been in similar to her waters, but like many of us, I've been to other deep places and I know that being courageous and faithful in these moments is a blessing. It's a choice we can make, at that moment, but not many chose so. It's easier to blame and doubt.
    I'm grateful for your opportunity, Judy, to have such an understanding being next to you. Not many of us have a community with this much support, non-judgmental, and most of all, a loving heart. It's a true blessing because, in the hardest moments, people show their actual soul face.
    I hope that people watching not only learn the power of the right nutrition for the right body, mind, and soul function but also the power of the right, nutritious community around you. Never underestimate that!
    Thank you for sharing your blessings with us, it landed and is appreciated🙏🏻
    May you flourish, lady🌷

      I was technically a pescatarian for 12+ years. I never ate meat (beef, chicken, pork, etc.) I ate mostly salads with egg whites and sometimes tuna. I ate a low-fat plant-based diet strictly for 12 years. I should have known when I was diagnosed as anemic during my first pregnancy but I was eating 16 oz of spinach daily. Instead, I took iron supplements and continued to be plant-based with zero meat. Keto helped with the higher fat but still not enough. It took me to land in the mental hospital that I slowly eventually (1.5 years later), started eating meat.

    Quite a story, thanks for sharing. I too have had a healing journey through nutrition though mine began with intermittent fasting, low/no carbs. I am now considering IF but with a carnivore diet as the eating phase. I think it will be a perfect combination. I have tried it a bit and had positive results. So now it is to plan how to incorporate into my life, because after all it is largely a lifestyle change that is the difficult part. For those of you suffering from various physical or mental issues, address your lifestyle issues as they relate to your diet. You will not get this type of information from institutional or government sources. The first step is the hardest part. Just take it and soon you will never look back but forward with positivity. I am happy to have discovered this website with its strong positive message and very informative content.

      You might want to lighten up on the IF when switching to carnivore, for the adaptation phase at least. Good luck!

      YES! I'd like this many times if I could!! One step at a time. Doesn't have to be perfect, just needs to be a step. ❤❤

      @@never2hard2startfresh Thank you, but fasting is my base, my core. My diet must fit around fasting and autophagy. The experimentation with a carnivore diet suggests it will be a good fit. Most of the positive effects others have experienced with a carnivore diet I have experienced with IF. There is no need to make accommodation of fasting for diet, as far as I know.

    Thank you both for such an inspiring story and your encouragement. I enjoyed your book and learning so much from you. I started the Conivoir diet in December 2023 for my hypothyroidism issues but then was diagnosed with breast cancer soon after this February. It is the beginning of my healing journey. I am grateful for the community and hope to be completely healed soon. Thank you.

    Thank you for being transparent - sharing your dark journey into healing, and into the light. Thank you Lord Jesus for your wisdom, and for your healing power!
    Millions (& millions) of people are suffering in the West -and Asia from the mantra of following "a balanced diet in moderation". I've sent your 'how to' podcasts to my sick friends; they think im crazy-whatever, lol..
    But I've done the research. I've been healed also- 1st with keto, and now carnivore lite, and i continue to heal, the more i eliminate veges/cheese etc...

    I am extremely impressed and grateful for you sharing your struggles. Very brave of you both sharing. I'm half Filipino and definitely understand the whole "not sharing weakness" thing. I've watched a couple of your videos but this video definitely made me want to subscribe. I'm currently in my 3 week as a Carnivore and have lost 15 pounds and feel great.

    Amazing. Thank you for sharing. It's hard to believe that lack of nutrition could damage the brain so much, and then eating carnivore could make such a huge difference, but I know the difference it's made for me and how much better I feel being Keto-carnivor. I was having trouble with brain fog before I started this diet. I'd go from practically starving myself trying to loose weight, to binging on a family sized bag of popcorn and lots of fruit, some vegetables but still be low energy, so eat some candy for a burst of energy. My eating felt out of my control most of the time or under deprivation, and I kept gaining weight... I almost can't believe I'm the same person now and I'm not even that far down the road from then.
    Thank you for your encouraging videos and all the good info that are helping us everyday.
    I'm down 25 lbs. Weighing in at 195 at 5'-3". My skins cleared up, skin tags fell off, and my hair is getting thicker. I still have balding areas, but not loosing hair like I used to and it's fun when I get patches of baby hairs growing back.

    Love it. So vulnerable and relatable. Thank you for sharing this. Thanks for stepping up, Kevin and being on camera. My husband is mostly supportive, but misses the old “foodie” me who loved to cook and eat. And I do not. I am enjoying eating to live. And healing. And I do t feel like he fully understands this.
