Having lived in both NZ and Australia ive been lucky enough to see two of the best teams play many times over the years. From day one with my father, holding onto his jersey so i dont get lost, being awed at so many people in the same place cheering for the same thing , the lights, the smell of the pitch ect, amazing to a 6 yr old boy. Ive now had the pleasure of taking my own son to his first game, spent most of the time watching him discover the same things i did all those years ago. I love it

By that I mean that I go and watch as many Scotland matches as possible, i.e. attend as many six nations and autumn internationals as I can afford, and occasionally go and watch Glasgow play when I'm back (last week I was the Leinster match). Until last year I was also a season ticket holder at Newcastle United. The difference between the atmosphere at the two sports is unbelievable. At the rugby, you barely get more than polite applause even at a try or final whistle...

I used to do first aid duties at a ground that had both football and rugby. There were five times as many supporters out for the rugby, yet less than half the police, and for the rugby alcohol was served in the ground!

i just love this song, i personally feel that it represents the whole world united in a common goal, to back their nations team, and like it says it doesn't matter if you win, lose or draw, give credit to every player who earned the right to represent their nation in a world wide event, the whole world had something in common, if only the world would unite for other things then maybe we can create a better world for everyone regardless of race or religion
