Things to Know When Beginning Special Education

This training will focus on providing information to parents/caregivers prior to requesting an assessment for special education services.
We will learn about what patterns to look for as your child is developing; the assessment process including the Request for Assessment letter, Assessment Plan, and Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE); special education terms; and how to advocate for your child’s educational needs.
