Tim, you live there! For those of use who have to fly, get to the parks, get a hotel, get a ticket, and reserve a time for one park at a time in Disney world ….there is a lot of money invested …not being able to ride ANY ride because you cannot get a reservation is absolutely unacceptable!
yeah but if you think about how many people join these queues per day you would probably be waiting 7 plus hours in line... it is so frustrating not getting a virtual queue but I’d personally never wait more than a couple hours for any ride in the Florida heat
Yeah the virtual queues run out in like under 10 seconds every time from how many people try to get them and half the time it’ll say u got one but then lags and u don’t (speaking with lots of experience)
@@minime6877 I fall into that category. The first time I got a boarding group for Rise I omitted my wife…….oops. The Disney cast member was great, and took care of my mistake.

Tim hands down on this one. My son and I just went on this the other day for the first time. WOW it's awesome. Disney did this one right. Great video showing it off.
my friends and i got a virtual cue for this on opening day on our band trip and we actually missed our time because we were performing at disney springs! the cast members at guardians of the galaxy were super helpful and we were able to get on the ride!
I actually got cut by a flying piece of metal on Rock n Roller Coaster. It happened near the beginning, I think. So my attention was taken away from the actual ride. They shut it down after that happened so I couldn't ride it again to actually enjoy it. The cut wasn't bad and I was fine. The flying metal part was kinda curious tho haha
@@Mrazgoodaz velosicoaster is a different type of coasters not themed just fast so not sure why your comparing the two. As far as rocking roller coaster this has a better ride system, more theming, smoother, so I think your kinda wrong.
I love the virtual queue. Yes it’s a bit tedious to have to cross your fingers and hope to get a boarding group but it’s so much better for those who want to go around and do other things throughout the day while you wait for your boarding group! I’d rather have to wait a few hours and be able to explore the park, go on other rides and eat some food rather than spending 2+ hours waiting in a line and wasting time.
I get motion sick and I just stared at the seat in front of me when we rode this earlier this week and came off pretty okay. It was such a smooth ride and so much fun even if I couldn’t really look around much!
I like this system of virtual queue but for people like me, that I’m traveling and going to Disney for only a few days is going to be difficult to get a boarding group.
The best ever!!! Ridden it many times now. Front is the best! If prone to motion sickness, use row one. My husband made it finally. Love you and Jen. You are the originals. God bless you and your family!!
I believe the 7:10-7:12 second drop of lightning lanes are due to people who select a time at 7:00 but their app crashes. Their slot is still in their “cart” (that they cannot re-access) for 10 minutes before being released back to the public. I saw a more detailed thread on this on Twitter but cannot find it at the moment.
So what I understood from this ride, after riding it, is that it’s awesome. I know a lot of people were apparently getting sick on it, but if you’ve ridden a rollercoaster before, it’s really not bad at all. I loved the theming and the music selection was awesome. I was able to ride it four times in the same day this past Wednesday (6/8) and I can’t wait to go back and ride it even more.
I was not staying at a hotel but was able to buy an individual LL pass for guardians when the park opened at 8 am. I am a local but was just at my house and not in the parks. They had a time slot for 11:00am on a Sunday
I did the watch trick when trying to get a spot in the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance and got in no problem. Disappointed I'll miss the best roller coaster at Disney World because I know my motion sickness would not be able to handle it.
We were in Epcot this past Mon. I started repeatedly hitting refresh at 6:59. I got Group 6 right at 7am and received the notification at 7:10 that our group was called. We stayed off property and got to Epcot about 20 min after our reservation had expired. They still let us ride. We waited approx an hour in the virtual queue line. Yes, it’s a pain and not guaranteed you’ll get a reservation. But, had it not been for the virtual queue, I don’t think I would have been able to ride it because the queue would have been hours long.
Glad you enjoyed it Tim! It truly is a great addition in terms of smoothness, thrill, & theme. I just wish the storyline was better/more clear. Glad to see the Treasures of Xandar shop finally open, too. Thanks for your coverage!
On our last visit to Epcot, we also did all 3 food items at Farmer's Feast. Didn't care too much for the pork, but enjoyed the other two. Also got the awesome drink and boy, was it sweet. We've ridden Guardians twice now and it is incredible.
Hm, I think you can get an individual lighting lane without being a hotel guest. I went with my husband yesterday and he was able to book lightning lane from home without us staying on site
I went on Tuesday 5/31 and was able to grab a boarding group. I wake up about 10 minutes to 7, check off who's going to be in my group and wait. That last minute I'm constantly refreshing the page. Don't read, just confirm 😅 I got group 31 and got called an hour after park opening. We had just parked when we were called 🙃
That’s interesting to hear. With Rise they made you wait until after 7am hit to select you group, which was skewing the system bc at first you had to select your group individually. So large groups were at a MAJOR disadvantage, so they changed it so that if you already had a linked booking party then they were automatically preselected- but it was still a pain and it got it wrong a lot. Letting you select your boarding party before 7am is a good change 👍 for once lol
IT Pro here - Your assumption is correct regarding tracking time from the apple watch. Using any mobile device to track the second is the best way to do it. While it still isn't 100% accurate (very very difficult to get this due to latency), it is the closest thing you can get to the server's time tracking. If you want to dive into the way time relates to servers, then read up on NTP (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol). It is a very complex protocol that enables computers to stay in sync, which is based on satellites and the earths rotation (coordinated univeral time - UTC). NTP is extremely important for servers. Sorry for nerding out in the comment, thought it was relevant to share some information.
Heading to WDW very soon- really hoping I can get on this ride! My husband and our girls don't do thrill rides, so I will have to run off for a bit to ride.
It is WAY way easier to get a boarding group for this ride than it was for Rise. I just went with a group of 10 and was able to get boarding groups on two different days! One at the 7 am time and one at 1pm, so don't lose hope!
I have to disagree. Cosmic Rewind is shockingly smooth. I did Everest the other day and it was a much rougher ride. Of course, the roughest ride is Space Mountain. I won't even ride it anymore. Disney needs to replace the track on that one. I was hoping they would do it once Tron launches, but I doubt it.
@@treads2595 not at the level of an inversion coaster or an everest. Smooth sounds great. Thrilling comes from immense speed and inversions. Guardians has neither. Theme on the other hand, I’ll give it to guardians. That looks incredible
First, using one of the websites that show the atomic clock while refreshing the VQ 100% works. I got VQ 3 out of 3 attempts over Memorial Day weekend using this method. As soon as atomic clock hits 7, refresh! Second, Tears for Fears track should be run 5 out of 10 times. It hits different than the rest. It's perfect for the ride. Hope everyone gets it. I'll never listen to Everybody Wants to Rule the World the same again. Third, we have Epcot After 4 passes and our windows are well expired by the time we ride. By Memorial Day Monday, we were just waiting until 845pm to ride. Very little lines.
I just imagine people who don't live anywhere near Disney, who get to come once every few years at most and this is how complicated it is to get a chance to even ride rides, after spending all that money. I've been down to Disney a lot but ya...all things considered not much of what's been going on this past year has any appeal to me, esp considering the money. I just think of all the people who I talked to back when I worked there who didn't even realize everything was in four separate parks and not just one thing or they'd look for the wrong ride at the wrong park...now you basically have to be an expert vacation planner to go. Pretty hard to do when traveling from further away with a family full of kids.
Eh, not really if this is going to be like Rise of the Resistance and Web Slingers. Both recent rides have used virtual queues for their openings and are now using regular standby lines. Just be patient and be smart at planning trips I guess.
Short answer.... pretty much, yes. No smartphone, no riding. However, used to be with Rise of the Resistance, and probably with Remy, too, that you could talk to a Guest Experience Team member (supposedly with blue polo shirts) and explain your situation to them, and they might be able to help you. But that suggests that you'd have to be in the park well after 7am, so.... your luck with that would probably vary widely. I think it's really dumb that disney excludes people without technology (they came from another country with a different cell service, they are older or simply without a desire to have/learn to use a smartphone (not knocking people- I used to have a flip phone until 2 years ago because I never needed a smart phone. I'd use my husband's smart phone if I had to use one or my computer or tablet), or they simply want to unplug and not kill their phone battery and stare at screens all day for this that or the other).
Even outside of the virtual queues I strongly recommend bringing at least one person with a smart phone unless you want to wait in line for things such as food and merch check out. It simply makes the cast members jobs easier as well and in some cases quick service will hardly let you in unless you mobile order because it makes it easier to keep track if everybody orders the same way. If you absolutely have no way to do that, maybe talk to the front desk at your hotel if you’re on property if you want to book a virtual queue at 7am! Outside of that or being at the parks with enough time to find a cast member and explain I think that’s about it. There’s only so much cast members can do about booking you into the ride after those times, it’s not really their fault! It’s just how the system is!
So you have to plan out when you are going to each park in advance now, and yet you could go to Epcot and not get a chance to ride Guardians? That's pretty weak
I was there the day after you and got into Group 14 for Guardians!!!! The absolute best ride in Disney World in my opinion! It’s so crazy, I walked straight through to the welcome video room and it was only one day after this lol! Love ur vids Tim!
The motion sickness is real!! Had to close my eyes at times and just wait a few seconds...then peek again. It was amazing...but beware if you are prone to it!!
Thank you for showing the new guardians ride. I don’t think I’ll be going on it. Video screens, motion and I don’t get along. I’ll stick to mission breakout in Disneyland.
I did exactly the same I changed my watch face on my Apple Watch to show the seconds and the second it turned to 7:00 I tried to reserve but they were all gone and I was a resort guest, we tried 4 times on our 2 week holiday but managed to buy a lightning lane.
A lot of time trying to explain virtual queue and no mention of the 2nd option with is the Individual Lightning Lane purchase which is currently the option that gives you a better chance of riding Guardians of Galaxy.
it seems like so much hassle to get on this ride :( we already paid an expensive ticket plus the access to lightning lanes which is mind blowing to me that now you have to pay extra for that. its all very confusing and complicated. and now im finding out that i wont even be able to join the virtual queue bc im not staying on property😭💔?? i really miss the old old fast pass system. the ones where we could get at a fast pass machine by the rides
I may say this a few times so you see it. I wonder what 192 is like now vs what you thought of that famous entertainment road was back in the day. I did just someone to explain it all, however, I want your thoughts and well, do the attractions.
I feel that the media people who got to ride it ahead of opening should have to wait a while so they are not taking a spot that a vacationer could have had….have seen many videos of the different media personnel riding it over and over again…meanwhile, a family looking forward to getting a spot in the virtual que lost out.
Not sure if it was a glitch, but I was able to purchase Lightning Lane for Guardians while I was nowhere near property, and was not staying on property. We had regular guest passes (not annual passes) and the app let me purchase LL while I was still in bed at our hotel (which is near Universal) at 7:30am.
I still don't understand why they did not put solar panels on that roof.... I get that they were probably dated but, I mean...come on.... just replace them. It just makes no sense now. Anyway. I really hope by february it will be a bit easier to get on that Cosmic Rewind ride because man, it looks so cool and I love the 80's vibe and the music. The merch looks so cool too! 80's child living her best life when I'll be visiting Epcot again haha :) it's been around 24 years since I was last there so...it's time! :-)
I don’t think 💭 that Guardians is the best rollercoaster 🎢 in WDW ever maybe 🤔 right now But Once Tron Opens Up 🆙 it Will Be The Best Rollercoaster 🎢 at WDW !!!! Mark My Words !!!!!
the virtual queue is good in theory but what about the guests who are impaired/use the DAS pass? i only ask bc disney guests are getting crazy with the virtual queue and they’re “sold out” in seconds which doesn’t allow for a lot of guests to have the chance or opportunity to ride cosmic rewind… i wonder if there’s a way for disney employees to help those who need it to get a spot for the virtual queue? i use the DAS pass when i go to disney but i’m still able to use my phone and everything in the event i wanted to try to get a spot in the virtual queue. but i’m just genuinely curious if disney guests who are unable to use their phones fast enough or well enough (due to any impairment/disability) if they have help to book a spot in the virtual queue/boarding group or pass? if anyone in the comments has even some sort of answer let me know! bc the virtual queue/boarding group mess is getting out of hand imo and idk why they don’t just set it up like a normal queue/line

The motion sickness is real!! Had to close my eyes at times and just wait a few seconds...then peek again. It was amazing...but beware if you are prone to it!!
Sounds amazing
Thank you for showing the new guardians ride. I don’t think I’ll be going on it. Video screens, motion and I don’t get along. I’ll stick to mission breakout in Disneyland.
This ride is amazing :) hands down my favorite! I was in group 21 on opening day
Finally rode this last Thursday. I did feel sick, but my daughter was fine. She wants to go again, I’m done. One time was enough.
The gauntlet is separate so you kinda have to buy each stone in order to collect them and put on the gauntlets
That makes sense, $600 for a complete one.
The guy at the shop says when you buy the gauntlet it comes with the stones
I guess you have to have a ticket to the park in the app before you can even refresh the page to see if you can get a time slot for the ride???
I did exactly the same I changed my watch face on my Apple Watch to show the seconds and the second it turned to 7:00 I tried to reserve but they were all gone and I was a resort guest, we tried 4 times on our 2 week holiday but managed to buy a lightning lane.
Great feedback thanks Tim
A lot of time trying to explain virtual queue and no mention of the 2nd option with is the Individual Lightning Lane purchase which is currently the option that gives you a better chance of riding Guardians of Galaxy.
Tim it worked we got Boarding group 21 and we staying at endless summer Dockside 😂
Rode it today… absolutely incredible
it seems like so much hassle to get on this ride :( we already paid an expensive ticket plus the access to lightning lanes which is mind blowing to me that now you have to pay extra for that. its all very confusing and complicated. and now im finding out that i wont even be able to join the virtual queue bc im not staying on property😭💔?? i really miss the old old fast pass system. the ones where we could get at a fast pass machine by the rides
Virtual queue is for everyone, lightning lane is for people staying on property at and to people who are inside of the park.
OMG I WAS AT EPCOT ON MEMORIAL DAY IM SO SAD I DIDNT SEE YOU
tim’s vlogs hit different than any other disney youtuber
Hey tim good vlog and thank you and keep up the good work you do love jari
This is such an important question - where does the wall go!!!!!!!!!!!! (when you're being transported)
How much was lokis scepter? And is there a possibility of the new mercy come to Disney springs?
Cool 😎
For the 7am virtual queue can you get boarding groups later in the day?
Impressive on-ride video for Cosmic Rewind.. Which camera did you use?
I still don't understand why they did not put solar panels on that roof.... I get that they were probably dated but, I mean...come on.... just replace them. It just makes no sense now.
Anyway. I really hope by february it will be a bit easier to get on that Cosmic Rewind ride because man, it looks so cool and I love the 80's vibe and the music. The merch looks so cool too! 80's child living her best life when I'll be visiting Epcot again haha :) it's been around 24 years since I was last there so...it's time! :-)
Need Wider lens on rides, but thank you for taking us.
Tim I got the same music as you when my family went on it
I don’t think 💭 that Guardians is the best rollercoaster 🎢 in WDW ever maybe 🤔 right now
But Once Tron Opens Up 🆙 it Will Be The Best Rollercoaster 🎢 at WDW !!!! Mark My Words !!!!!
Hey I kinda like the stock music Jenn edited into the ride sequence! 🎶
I hope when I go Oct. 20 that it will be easier to get on Guardian.
You can be outside of park for 1PM drop
New ride at epcot
"Loki was a bad guy for 40$" didn't know he set his standards that low🤔😂
the virtual queue is good in theory but what about the guests who are impaired/use the DAS pass? i only ask bc disney guests are getting crazy with the virtual queue and they’re “sold out” in seconds which doesn’t allow for a lot of guests to have the chance or opportunity to ride cosmic rewind… i wonder if there’s a way for disney employees to help those who need it to get a spot for the virtual queue? i use the DAS pass when i go to disney but i’m still able to use my phone and everything in the event i wanted to try to get a spot in the virtual queue. but i’m just genuinely curious if disney guests who are unable to use their phones fast enough or well enough (due to any impairment/disability) if they have help to book a spot in the virtual queue/boarding group or pass? if anyone in the comments has even some sort of answer let me know! bc the virtual queue/boarding group mess is getting out of hand imo and idk why they don’t just set it up like a normal queue/line
I asking is the "Guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind" ride worth a ride ? just curious 💯
100% worth it! Best coaster at Disney hands down!
THE FLAVOR IS NOT NICE!
