Very smart move adding the wood siding. Most new buyers do not understand how paper thin the aluminum siding is on trailers. I would have put in a insulation between the wood siding and skin to reduce any flexing of the siding when going down the road.

If you don’t want anyone getting hurt , get rid of the garbage track slides especially on the ramp. Get the caliber low profile tract guides. Also. Get rid of the garbage Taiwan tires it came with and replace with Goodyear endurance. I had a blow out with less than 2K miles with the factory junk. Light bar looks great. I have a wireless backup camera the works good when driving down the road also.

Excellent video... Thank you for posting. Love the door flap hinges on your trailer. Much better than the accordian hinge across the entire length of the flap.

Nice job! I use the ski tie downs to hold my otter sled in place. Also before I put in the ski runners I put down some cheap vinyl plank flooring. It just makes it easy to sweep out and hopefully protects the floor!

Nice! I have a 12' Hybrid as well. I'm going to mount a shelf and put a diesel / 12 volt heater on it so I can thaw the sleds overnight. Hopefully the melted ice and snow won't damage the floor. Probably put a few drain holes in.

Take a piece of PVC pipe and cut it in half then lay it round side up on top of the hinge while the ramp is down. Makes a huge difference while loading and unloaded by keeping your skegs from catching on the transitions. Only needs to be as wide as your skis and you can slide it side to side as needed. Stores easy when not in use. I think we used 3 or 4”

We did the same thing but has a smaller PVC pipe and didn’t cut it. Works really well!

    Great video, nice mods.
I'll be adding the broom clamps and internal light power that does not require the truck...junction box a possibility.

Your setup is similar to mine, I have clam-shell trailer though. I did the LED strip lights, 7 pin junction box, and some rear spot lights under the trailer for reversing. For my strip lights, it only pulls off the auxiliary pin so I don't need the truck on. But to prevent leaving the lights on and draining my battery, I got a timed light switch that will automatically turn off in 30 minutes max. If you search Mechanical Countdown Timer Switch Spring Wound, its basically one of those.

Good video, lots of good suggestions on modifications. I just purchased my first enclosed snowmobile trailer and I'm looking for ideas. Have you thought at all about protecting the wood on the floor further by painting it or using a Rhino liner type product? I might go as far as buying a vinyl or rubber mat for mine.

Porch and Patio ant-slip paint works great on the floors and then screw done all your ski guides, etc.

Holy dude!! That’s awesome! I was definitely going to do the lights, mine are also very dim. Not sure if it makes any difference but I was going to replace that lower particle board with some 3/8” HDPE sheets.. Just so my skis aren’t rubbing on the sides. Also I had ordered some 80 grit tape and put it up on the 3 front tow bars just in case for traction. What do you think about lacquering the underneath? I noticed it’s all exposed to the elements underneath. Also, maybe a 12 volt truck battery back up wired in just in case it’s unhooked from the truck and needed some power?🤷‍♂️

Yup! All good ideas. I’m not sure if that plywood is marine grade or not, but it’s seems like it’s treated with something. Wouldn’t hurt to cover it with something though on the bottom at-least over the wheels. I haven’t had any issues with the skis rubbing the plywood, but the HDPE would def be better.

Excellent, I've been considering an enclosed trailer for some time now. The ROC cover in the truck box just isn't cutting it anymore. I have a '22, Expedition LE, 600R ETEC. 20 inch. Pulls very nicely.
You present well with super common sense mods. Glad your channel popped up in the my feed the other day. Cheers.
