iOS isn't friendly to indie developers. On top of the high licence fee, it's also unlikely the OS would allow the app to access the USB port of the device as a security measure. Unfortunately, iOS doesn't look very likely until Apple changes those things.
The benefit of a system like Alpha Link is that other applications and projects can be built up around it. Alpha Link lets you create an account and provides a location to store your user data, but beyond that other projects can enable you to log in and use your account/stored Digimon in various ways: battling, interaction, socialising - the possibilities are endless. Once Alpha Link is stable, I will focus my efforts on these complementary applications that will do functions like the system you described.
Com Units (AlphaCom and DCom) use Arduinos as their processors. Depending on which Arduino, it can be Micro USB or Mini USB. To connect it to your phone, you will need a standard USB cable for that port (it must support data), and an OTG dongle/adapter for your phone, which expands the phone's Micro USB or USB C to full size USB A.
No, I am Katsu. Seki makes W0rld, I am the Alpha lead developer - separate projects. Alpha doesn't have Instagram, but it does have a Twitter. Check out the channel bio :)
Not sure where you heard this - it isn't the case at all. The app itself is free, and you can build an AlphaCom yourself using the guide on the website. Alternatively, you can buy a premade AlphaCom in the Discord, also linked on the website, and in the video description.
I can't believe you can load your actual digivice into it, I genuinely think that is the coolest thing ever
We've been using the app since it came out and we love it! Thank you guys for this fun and easy platform to battle our partners on. Awesome job!!!
Awesome to hear it! Love your videos btw!

Any plans for an asynchronous matchmaking system? Could queue up codes until a same stage opponent is found then match them to each other.

Is this compatible with dmx or pendulum z? I cant make it work with any of those :C
Penz and dmx compatibility comming soon?
Who is on the right and do they have a video on the backlit mod?
Does the cable connected to the dcom to phone is USB to dcom and to phone is type c?

i hope it is compatible with digivice helper
The digivice helper is the same system as a normal DCom, only in a special enclosure - so it will be compatible :)
@@Katsuke831 nice thanks for the info looking forward to see you on the battle net 😉
Yes!!! Cant wait! Does it work with a dcom?
The DCom and AlphaCom use the same Arduino program - so yes, it will work
is it still available
Hi ! If I just make a acom , can it straight connect to phone and play?
Yes - If you make an AlphaCom or D-Com (and upload the arduino program), all you need to do is connect it to the phone and you're ready
are there build instructions for the connector that the person on the right is using?
The Alpha website has a guide on building an AlphaCom
Can i used d2 digivice?
How about DMX v.2 japan ver.. i cant connect/scan it..
DMX Isn't supported yet.
To add support for a new VPet requires a lot of work. DMX will be added in the future - look out for updates on the twitter!
Hi where can i buy an ALPHACOM?
Visit the 0NL1NE Discord server linked in the description. There are people there who make and sell AlphaComs and DComs.
I want one that works with I Phone 8 😭
If you know any iOS app developers who would be interested in helping, send them to the alphahub site :)
Where to buy the device to connect to phone ?
Visit the 0nl1ne Discord server - there are a few people on there who could help you out with getting yur own com unit :)
