AWESOME review 😁👍 Thanks for the heads up on this tent, I was really impressed with the frame rack you built for it, and I was HOPING you'd be posting a review 🤘😁
Thank you! You are actually in luck. They just released their new carbon fiber tent design! It has a few nice upgrades but actually is now even lighter. They also added a pass through for a heater along with a few other features. I do believe it's more expensive then the one I reviewed though.
Thank you! They are definitely worth a look. Not as luxurious as some of the expensive tents but if you want something that sets up quick/easy and are just looking for a place to sleep at night this thing is great.
thank you for review. I've been looking on YT for installation videos and haven't seen one yet. i have a sherpa crestone on my 4runner and trying to get an idea of the install process. is it relatively straight forward? I assume it comes w/ instructions?
I think the instructions are on their website or if I remember right it was an install video on their website. But yeah it's super easy and comes with all the necessary hardware
Ah Ok I see it on the bottom of the product page. Did you remove 2 of your crossbars and install it on their bracket and then placed it on your Roof Rack soon thereafter?@@WheelinWithWally From their video, they had the crossbars removed from the rack beforehand so wondering if that's how you proceeded w/ your install. thanks again
@@renk5000 no my crossbars are welding on as one solid piece of my rack. I just set the tent on top and did one corner at a time. Lifting up one corner and sliding in the bolt.
People have cut the stitching on the bottom of the rain flap and put a metal rod in there across the whole bottom to keep it straight. May also help with not having a zipper on the bottom.
Best review for this tent. Thanks! Are you getting a new upcoming fiberglass version? Another big improvement is it looks like they placed mesh layer on the outside as it SUPPOSE TO BE!
I’m just researching this tent now after it was recommended to me by Front runner for my slimline 2 on my 23’ Forester Wilderness and I’m ready to buy and now I’m seeing the carbon fiber one bit only going to be Australia and Canada first?
My tent is 82in L x 50in W x 6in H They have 3 versions of their tent you can check out here and see the different dimensions. inspiredoverland.com/product-category/roof-top-tents/
I'm not tall either I'm about 5' 8". I'd say they are still pretty feasible if you are 6' but you'd have to sleep on your side a little curled up. Or maybe check out their new XL version of the tent.
@@WheelinWithWally yeah, if they ever bring them here to Australia I think I’d need an XL. I’m 6’1”-6’2”, I just don’t think the big one would look good on a TJ.
@@JeepinDownUnder yeah the XL version might look a little long on a TJ. You'll still probably be comfortable in this tent if you were camping alone. Might be able to sleep angled to help.
Its actually a custom one I built. I couldn't find one to buy that would work with my rear bumper/tire carrier. I made a video on the making of the rack too if you wanted to check it out.

Thank you! The rack and tent really work well together and I'm very pleased with them.
very well presented......informative
@@johnlounsbury6191 Thank you! It's a good little tent for small vehicles or if you just want to keep it simple.
Perfect. Now i know what tent to get for my TJ. Thank you.
No problem! It really is a great tent for a TJ. You barely notice it's up there
Great video and review for this tent been eyeing this tent because of the weight.

Awesome tent and great video. Will have to check these out!

That was an excellent video. Thank you.
No problem! Thanks for watching I'm glad you found it helpful
Have you tried closing it with your sleep setup in there? Just curious, great vid!
Nope but it would probably work no problem.

Im looking at one for hunting. I can drive up north, pop the tent and sleep.
They are a good quick set up tent. They do make them in XL versions as well.

Good to know. Not sure why they opted out of a zipper there but I still like the tent a lot.
Good video
Got a question?
How fast do you usually driving on the highway?
The fastest I've probably gone with it is 80-85mph and I normally cruise at 75mph because that's the highest my cruise control will set at.

Thank you! I've seen their new tent but I don't have big plans to buy it. I just bought this one. If they sent me one I'd review it though lol.

Did you ever get a code for purchasing this tent?
No I didn't sadly.
I'm waiting for a code before I buy.
What are the dementions of it ?

Awesome, thanks for the info. 👍🏼
How tall are you dude? I know Dustin has one of these but he’s only pretty short anyway, so I’m keen to see how they are if you’re around the 6’ mark.
