This song was probably the best way to end the album. I feel like she described a very toxic relationship that maybe she went through but knew that sadly people would relate to her songs. So to end the album showing her love for her fans and hoping that they’re ok is just like a nice hug to know that everything is going to be ok.

also, if you notice, the ending of the song is how driver's license began, the beeping of the car. It's kind of like paying an ode to what got her so far and made so much of this possible! That was so iconic and beautiful!

@@a.g2716 i saw someone transcribe the dialogue once, but to summarize, its olivia expressing frustrations with the album (at the time EP, i believe) and that it felt incomplete. you can hear them agreeing to redo the album. this aligns with the fact that it was originally meant to be a lot shorter and olivia felt it was incomplete and wanted to add more songs.

i think it was so beautiful and kind of her to finish the album with a song thats not about her exactly, but to someone else, its like a little gift, a farewell saying " thank you for the journey, this one is for you"
this song hits too close home and i can't listen to it without crying, i met many kids from the LGBTIQ+ commumity thoughout my life and i can say they are the most brave, kind, accepting people i have ever met and i love them so much, they were outcasted, bullied, shut down and i just hope they are ok now, especially cause i'm in a closet since 4 years, i really hope they can enjoy their lives with no hatred.

hahahaha the quick cut of you chugging water made me burst out laughing - love this reaction. I think a lot of people feel like they need to exaggerate their responses to this album in particular because it's so hyped up and has a pretty rabid fanbase behind it but I really appreciate that you stay genuine and give credit where credit is due without overdoing it. regarding this song, tracks like this make me really excited for her to make new music because oddly, her non-relationship songs were some of my favorite on the album (brutal, jealousy jealousy, hope ur ok). I totally get the artistic choice to theme the album and actually love the whole 'sour' concept but now that it's done, I think there's so much potential for her to go in a totally different direction and songs like this give a great glimmer of insight into what that might look like, you know?
