I am a classic club sandwich kind of a guy...its my "go-to" if I get a sandwich...that is if my favorites aren't on the menu, which are a Reuben, or Philly cheese steak, or a hot pastrami and corn beef...ok...I like food!!!
Love your videos! Everytime I try something that you guys did, it doesn't come out the same. My wife laughs and says it's expectations (your video) vs reality (my result). All in good fun, food is still delicious! Thank you and keep em coming.
Thank you so much for watching! Oh no! Is there something specific we can help with? I know for me, it was a bit of trial and error - I do most things on low heat, overcooking seemed to be the biggest issue. Good luck and keep us posted!🤙🤙
You’re right, the food is delicious, but we want to help!😁 Feel free to reach out with specific questions! We would love to help make sure you get it right! 🤗
I keep saying I will wait till morning to watch your videos because they always make me hungry. But I never can wait. Those sound so good. You guys need to deliver.
Okay we did a deep dive on your page, and you guys are so addicting. You talk in unison and it’s absolutely adorable. We never thought we’d see two other people to finish each other’s sentences like we do! It’s astounding!!!!!! :) You guys are so sweet!!!!!!!!!! This monte cristo sandwich looks next level - love the sweet additions here!!!!! This looks like an absolute classic!!!!!!
OMG, it’s our new fave TH-camrs!!🤗🤗 Y’all are seriously the BEST! You ladies make US blush! We love it - Okay, like you said on the comment on your vid - we have to grill together sometime! 💪💪🔥🔥🤙🤙
Hey guys, new viewer here. Love the dynamic, awesome. Everything I'm about to say is said with respect, to you and the craft/art of cookin. I'm a Philly guy, so as you may guess, a foodie. I've gotten the larger Blackstone myself and love a good Monte Cristo. I've never heard of them deep-fried or battered and have to thank you because you've given me a question to ask a server if I order it somewhere I've never been lol. I've worked at a good number of restaurants and delis on the flat (why I went with Blackstone actually) and know my way around one. If you can get your hands on some freshly roasted turkey breast, and some good glazed black forest ham, grab some Swiss and Prov along with the bread you used here for a Monte Cristo. But, try it without the smashing part, it's larger and you'll eat it with a fork and knife, but hear me out, put your meats down and then the dredged bread, flip your meats and put the cheese right on them (Swiss on Ham, Prov on Turkey seems to work best) then flip your bread. The juices cookin in the meat will melt the cheese right onto it and then just spatula the meat in layers on the one piece of (now) French Toast, (for some reason I always like the Ham/Swiss under the Turkey/Prov) top with the other piece and remove wahlah. Cut, powder, and syrup (or jam, I like that idea, gotta try it some time). Again, I mean no disrespect, just like sharing some things I've picked up over time. Maybe one day I'll make vids, who knows lol. All love!
Wow man, first of all, no disrespect thought of at all - this is brilliant and would definitely take this to the next level! For sure we’re saving this one - thank you so much for arching and for the insight - we love it! Much love and respect fam, GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Oh boy, this looks ridiculous in the best possible way!! I can't wait to try it. That bread looks so good and holds up perfectly for this sandwich it looks like. That spatula - O M G - the best! Why do you add the water/steam it?
Yay! Thank you so much for watching! We LOVE the spatula. We put a bit of water to create steam, which hastens the melting of the cheese without burning the French toast on the griddle. We do the same process often when melting cheese on burgers.🤙🤙
But have you guys had a monte Christo dog, it’s a hotdog with Swiss cheese and strawberry jam. The hotdog guy in my home town makes it but he uses a cooking torches to melt the Swiss cheese then tops it with strawberry jam
I used to LOVE the Monte Cristo sandwich at Bennigan's and never thought to make one using French toast. Brilliant! Thank you so much for posting. What restaurant in Orlando makes it this way? I live in Michigan, but I'm from Orlando.
Hey man! That is so awesome!! We love it deep fried for sure - but there’s a small sandwich shop/cafe called 903 Mills Market - so good! Honestly though, this one on the Blackstone was just as good!🤙🤙
Thank you so much!! YES!! We use the drawers all the time! My wife thought we were wasting money just to get the air fryer, and now she is so happy we did - we use them almost as much as the griddle top! (We have fried wings, fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, among others) - take care!🤙🤙
Darn!!! I wasn’t expecting you to force me to go to the store in the morning!!!!! I’ve never had it with jam!! Never thought of it. Thanks for the video.
Another home run my friends. This looked really good. I could smell it from here. I don't think I ever had one, but always wanted one. It almost seems like a breakfast item. But again, you can have breakfast ANYTIME...right!?! You guys made it look so simple and easy. Even a caveman could do it :) My favorite restaurant sandwich would have have to be a good Patty Melt or Reuben. Love them more. Have a great rest of your weekend and God bless. Griddle On!
I love a good Monte Cristo that was the first thing we had to make in culinary school mine did not turn out well lol I love a turkey bacon avocado sandwich when I'm at a restaurant and I want a sandwich thanks for a great video thanks for keeping it real 😀
If the answer is no...then I would challenge it...I noticed that the Twins no longer us a propane tank...they have a hard pipe feeding the constant propane to the griddle!!!
Does the jam detract from the overall flavor? It seems that it would kind of over power the other delicious flavors...what about syrup this sandwich on it or am I speaking gibberish???
Actually, I thought the same thing, for some reason the jam actually brings the whole flavor together - it’s perfect! It may be worth trying with syrup as well, especially with the French toast.🤙🤙
What’s your favorite restaurant sandwich?
BLT with avacado😁
We have a local place that has the best chicken salad sandwich. They use red onions instead of celery.
Ooh, I bet it’s amazing!
Yes! Love a great BLT - avocado? Even better!

Awesome! We love them deep fried for sure, but this with the French toast worms out so well!
Love the videos. Keep them coming. And thanks for the info on the giant spatula I asked a few videos back. Bought one. 👍
Oh awesome! I love the spatula, so happy it worked out! Thank you so much for the support, we’ll keep ‘em coming!🤙🤙
I need to make this on my next cheat day. looks great.
Boom! Yes! It would totally be worth it! Thank you so much for watching!🤙🤙

You're going to have to put out a cook book!
Lol, we have discussed it! That would be so much fun! Thank you for watching!🤗🤗
My fav restaurant sandwich is roast beef with French dip Do a video on it. Love to see how you do the dip
Oh yes! We LOVE French dip sandwiches - we’ll totally do a recipe for it and cook!! Great suggestion!!🤙🤙
Another hit brethren! Why have a never tried this sandwich before? LOVE your take! ❤️
Woot woot! Thank you Jared! It’s worth a try at Gator’d Dockside (their deep-fried Monte Cristo is amazing), this honestly satisfies the same!

My favorite is the Reuben with extra meat. I like an extra hearty sandwich.
Ooh, that’s a great one!
WALTWINS I'd love to see you guys grill one up👍
Oh boy, this looks ridiculous in the best possible way!! I can't wait to try it. That bread looks so good and holds up perfectly for this sandwich it looks like. That spatula - O M G - the best! Why do you add the water/steam it?

Your video is awesome !!!
I really like your video !!!
Thank you so much 🤗
OMG what a great cook! 🤩
Hey I gotta ask....do you guys use the Air fry drawers at all? I’m debating if I should spend extra for them.
My sis just got me that blackstone press for fathers day. Definitely trying this, recipe looks amaze. thanks guys!
Yes! So awesome man, let us know how the press works out!🤙🤙
You guys should try the egg roll ruebens on the BS.
Thank you so much for watching and for the suggestion! We’ve never heard of the egg roll reubens - we will definitely add it to the list!🔥🔥🤙🤙
I prefer the French toast method over the battered style French toast style is more traditional
Darn!!! I wasn’t expecting you to force me to go to the store in the morning!!!!! I’ve never had it with jam!! Never thought of it. Thanks for the video.
Haha! Sorry/not sorry 😜. Something about the tart/sweetness that brings the flavors together so well!
A Scandinavian tradition is bread with a jam (Lingonberry😋) with a cheese like Swiss...sooooo freaking good😋😁🤗
Oooh, so amazing!! Sounds like our kind of food!🤙🤙

So awesome! We’re actually considering doing a patty melt soon! These are really good and very simple to make! Thanks for watching fam!!🤙🤙
I love a good Monte Cristo that was the first thing we had to make in culinary school mine did not turn out well lol I love a turkey bacon avocado sandwich when I'm at a restaurant and I want a sandwich thanks for a great video thanks for keeping it real 😀
Yes! Great choice! I can imagine in time, you perfected the Monte Cristo - and it would our ours to shame!😜. Thanks as always for watching brother! 🤙🤙
Has that griddle “EVER” cooled down? You two are my new favorite cooks to watch! That sandwich looked amazing! Thanks again from Stumptown, Oregon 👍
Yes! It’s our favorite guy from Stumptown!! Thank you so much Clyde, we really appreciate your support man!🤙🤙
If the answer is no...then I would challenge it...I noticed that the Twins no longer us a propane tank...they have a hard pipe feeding the constant propane to the griddle!!!
