Shocking! You mention the engine was running before pulling it. Did you have any idea the head gasket had failed? or so badly? It must have been failed some time perhaps? or simply age of the gasket allowed it to eat into the heads like this. BTW Great resto your doing and watching with interest from New Zealand as Im about to pull my 155 V6's engine for a major overhaul after years of standing. Will you repair the heads or ??
Yes so this car had been sitting abandoned for years, It did start & run although you wouldn’t want to drive it . We have the heads at a company called “Classic & Modern Engine Services” they’re welding & overhauling for us.
