Been enjoying the Marine Room since the early 70's, back further when we took family trips to CA. They've had the windows broken many times, but there's nothing like sitting there, being in the waves. They build back better every time. Now, it's bullet-proof glass that stands up to the high surf. It truly is so unique and worth the pricey menu for Nature's entertainment.
As one who was born and raised in San Diego, I highly recommend the Marine Room. The view of the waves is beautiful, and Sunsets are stunning. I’ve surfed many times just outside those windows, so bring your flip flops and walk the beach while you’re there (there’s a walkway along side the restaurant that takes you to the beach).
Been a few times, not in the last decade. Never in a storm. Good food, service. Pricey.....any money left over will go to valet to get your car out of impound
That chef isn’t there anymore. I worked there 1976-1997, the view is fabulous! Sadly there is no longer a live 3-piece band and dancing under the stars, as the roof used to slide open above the dance floor!
Just left the restaurant! Unfortunately the tide wasn't high enough for the waves but the sunset, food and service was incredible. Yes it's pricey but, one of the finest meals I've eaten in a long time.
Every time I moved out of California, I have always come back!! There is no place like it anywhere in the world, and I have lived and traveled all around! The people who run our state are morons but I don't let them ruin my experience of enjoying life!
I wish I could afford to live in CA, but that is completely out of my price range. There are so many incredible locales and amazing places to visit and explore. A magical region of the planet.
You limit the joy you could be experiencing by buying into so many lies. Obviously you listen to the narrow, fear-filled right-wing outlets and other garbage on the web. You would be astounded to see the incredible natural beauty of San Diego, of California. We couldn't live without these hard-working good people who flee here to support their families by doing the jobs no one else wants. They are the ones doing the back-breaking work of picking our fruit and vegetables. I'm from there and these wonderful persons enrich our country and add so much value in so many ways. I used to teach right at the border, where as you say, the "illegals flock in." Those were some of my most memorable teaching years. They were there studying English, bettering their lives to provide for their families, just like the rest of us. I had the joy of working with them. They add so much to our country. Go after the billionaire owners of the US. They're the ones robbing us all in every way.

Yes, because you have fish swimming up to your table !😂😂😂
Can't get fresher than that 🍽🐟
Well heck, I wanted to see the waves from inside the restaurant. Could care less his worldly cooking techniques.

@The Marine Room: Where the waves kiss the windows.
With the latest weather system in CA....How is the restaurant holding up today?
Marine room is amazing!!

I’ve eaten there. It’s beautiful. It’s right on the beach.
Did the restaurant get damaged by the storm of Jan. 2023?

@@iamlucy2308- My attitude, exactly, but I’ve never left, since 1952.❤️

I hope the windos hold back the ocean.
beware of the french chefs😂😂😂
Better to sit on the beach with your friends and have a beer and balony sandwich .
The competing background 'music' is very distracting. It's difficult to hear what you want to say without the annoying noise drowning out your voice.
I bet the cheapest plate goes for 300 usdt
Scary
Been there its nice try shark
with all due respect is this location anywhere near where the Illegals are flocking in ?
