Good tips. The prices are great and they’ve really done a great job of organizing things. Sometime my local hospital thrift store has sales where you can fill a bag for $5.

Excellent tips!!You raised some really excellent points! I like the care you take when washing your thrfted pieces. You honor the fabrics and the care that went into making the garment.

I frequently shop at thrift/charity stores, but their prices, although usually great, are nowhere near 25 cents or $1. 😢Still some good bargains to be had. I totally agree with you about the men’s wear department: I’ve purchased several button-up shirts, including higher-end brands, for about $4 each. I defy anyone to really notice which side the buttons are on! On the other hand hand, I found a pair of those famous “red soled” shoes, which were the most uncomfortable pair ever. I redonated them after only two wearings.

It depends on where you live - there's a charity shop near me that sells things for 99p & £1.99.
Edit: So another tip would be to go thrifting in different areas. I deliberately go charity shopping in a higher-end small town when looking for coats, because the wealthier women there tend to donate good quality ones.

Good tips, especially about the sizing, I’ve found lovely clothes where I disregarded the stated size.
