If I could stress one point above all the others, this is not a diet... it is a change in your lifestyle that will change the directionof your health. If you go into this with that mindset. It will be sustainable. Weight loss is a nice benefit but think beyond that and see this as a change to make your life better, you won't quit, you won't want your life to be any different....
hello i have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis from 20 years old, 28 years old. I already had a knee joint injury, at the age of 44 my skin was severely damaged, many of my joints were very difficult to move, everything hurt, polyarthritis started, depression and everything else. After LFWFPB for 15 days my blood sugar readings are now in non-diabetic range or pre-diabetic range even 2-5 hour's after eating. I don't take medication for my diabetes. I eat resistant rice and potato often

This was a great presentation. Terrific overview that covered all aspects of this type lifestyle of eating and it's benefits. New subscriber. I live in FL and am 67. I don't have diabetes and doctor said that I am not prediabetic or insulin resistant. I have a family history of heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer's, breast cancer and Parkinson's disease. Also, my blood pressure is super high and I am about 45 pounds over weight...have been sedentary since retiring in march 2021. Making a concerted effort to change my lifestyle, but am in fixed budget and small RV fridge. I had winter garden last year, which was great for greens. I look forward to watching your other content. Fat and sugar don't mix well that's why people get diabetes. Eating carbs and less protein and less fat drops risk to 0% excluding omega 3 fats. Those are great, eat 10-100g doesn't matter it's awesome
Hello! I am from Ontario, Canada and I found your website on TH-cam. I have type 2 diabetes as well as Kidney disease and I am currently on dialysis 3 times per week. I need to loose weight but nothing is working. I do seated exercises and I walk as much as I can inside my home so my mobility is low. Do you think this kind of diet would help me or am I to far gone? Plus the kidney diet is the complete opposite of this kind so I am bit confused. I like doing some food prep by making brown rice, sweet potatoes and cooked beans *instant pot you can cook dry beans - super easy and no sodium. I chop up onions, celery, bell peppers, etc and can make what they call Buddha bowls...you can season them anyway you like and we eat frozen fruit and frozen veggies. We make the amount we need per meal. Also, no dairy, no cheese and very little bread. We have a handful of nuts - almonds, walnuts or macadamia nuts in oatmeal. Also glad seeds, chia seeds andhwmp seeds.

I was previously on a high protein low carb diet as suggested in the type two diabetic groups on Facebook. I heard about Dr. Bernard so I thought I would try this plant-based routine and my blood sugars are high like 300 and some even over since I have been on this three weeks and having too many high sugars. Is high protein low carb A better way to control sugars for some people? I am really starting to wonder if I should return to the other diet
Please consider Mastering Diabetes (book and online) to help troubleshoot your WFPB diet. Also, you may actually have a different form of diabetes-speak with your healthcare provider and consider seeing an Endocrinologist.
Both are trash. Moderate protein with fat and carbs in balance seem to do best. With animal food it keeps u satiated enough to eat 1-2x a day without much cravings since insulin due to the fat won't fly up too high. Too high protein seems to be a bigger culprit in heart issues combined with frequent meals since every time we eat we raise inflammation and insulin. Vegan would be decent if we could manage to do 2-4h eating window, but non animal products are not only nutrientvoid but also often sprayed with garbage leading to frequent meals. So it's not that easy to pull off. Guess Mediterranean diet + prolonged fasting would be the best way. Also blue zones eating vegan is utter bs. They get the majority from grains/plants. But they still get 5-10% from animal food. For example 200gr of chicken would be barely 10% of a adults male kcal intake, yet food like this. Like and egg here and there, milk, oysters, liver bring a ton of nutrients while they can be only 5% of the daily diet.
Quinoa, amaranth, oat groats, wheat berries, buckwheat groats, barley, spelt - many whole grains and ancient grains have a decent amount of protein. Seeds are also excellent sources and can be used in a variety of ways - hemp, chia, and sunflower. Many fruits and vegetables also have a few grams of protein per serving so you will never be completely without protein as long as you are eating whole foods.
If you want to be part of making the world a peaceful place without pain, suffering and starvation do not eat anything made with our fellow earthlings. Butter, eggs, milk all cause death, pain and suffering for the chickens and cows. Baby male chicks are ground up in a massive blender while ALIVE, think about that when you eat you next omelette. For those you have breast fed, remember the sore and sensitive nipples? Well imagine being hooked up to a machine 18 hours a day right after your new born infant is yanked from you. The pharmaceutical companies provide the anitbiotics and hormones for the sick and underweight animals. People then deep fry them in staturated fats and oils. This combination is deadly. People then run to their "Doctor" for a well being check and foe medications provided again by the pharmaceutical companies that pay large amounts of money to your federal government to keep quiet about the harm the meat industry is causing not only to the environment but to you and your family. Enough is enough. Do us all a favor and STOP eating our fellow earthlings for the sake of our world.

The SHORT answer is no, you (ALMOST everyone in the world) doesn't "need" animal products including dairy, eggs, and fish, for protein or anything else. The second thing is Americans have a grossly inflated idea of how much protein you "need". Do you have a health concern like diabetes or coronary disease that has you thinking about this? Choose slow carbs food and decrease oil because you will get enough of it with nuts, etc. Only choose oils (and all food you eat) low in saturated fats. Food should be balanced in nutrition (and vitamins!!!) to not get anaemia or sth. B12 supplements are your friends, take them on an everyday basis. No alcohol, no smoking, less coffee. That's it, the healthy diet.
Most vegan because it’s easy to prepare for lazy me . And my blood pressure was higher eating burgers hot dogs burritos on my delivery route working . Wash scrub blend it juice it drink it . With juice it put in vacuum mason jar in cooler for my delivery job . Before bed a few days a week steamed broccoli blend it drink . I don’t feel so sluggish next morning . I continue to have small snack junk food a few times a week . In my 60’s good health .

Lol, I got told I was pre-diabetic with level at 6. I switched to plant based within 2 days. No milk or dairy for 6 weeks. Sugar level normal now.

Oatmeal is an AMAZING meal you can make. And there’s many amazing things you can do with grains and legumes (etc)

Choose slow carbs food and decrease oil because you will get enough of it with nuts, etc. Only choose oils (and all food you eat) low in saturated fats. Food should be balanced in nutrition (and vitamins!!!) to not get anaemia or sth. B12 supplements are your friends, take them on an everyday basis. No alcohol, no smoking, less coffee. That's it, the healthy diet.

Most vegan because it’s easy to prepare for lazy me . And my blood pressure was higher eating burgers hot dogs burritos on
my delivery route working .
Wash scrub blend it juice it drink it . With juice it put in vacuum mason jar in cooler for my delivery job .
Before bed a few days a week steamed broccoli blend it drink . I don’t feel so sluggish next morning . I continue to have small snack junk food a few times a week . In my 60’s good health .
