Hi Linda, just wondering if you can tell me the name of the paint on your cupboard and book shelf across from your island. It is beautiful and I would love to know. Thank you so much. Judith from Connecticut.😊
The repoir between Linda and Stewart is on par with Carson and McMahon,it’s just so funny! Recently,Linda had accidentally inhaled a bug,Stewart just mumbled’well,it’s protein…’ I laughed my butt off!
I was in my yard today digging up heavily rooted plants out of my large blue containers. About killed me. Then of course noticed some trees that needed trimming and "canopy" kept popping up in my brain, thanks to Linda. Needles to say, filled the green waste today. I have learned so much from her. Amazing gal!
I love watching Linda for gardening and was thrilled to see her doing a short entraining segment (which I’d love to see more of). I would love more information on her guest that provides the wine tasting trips to Italy. Thanks again for your channel and the content it provides ❤
Linda and Stewart are a great dialogue team! I chuckle many times with Linda’s down to earth descriptions and cute sense of humor. So nice that she asks for Stewart’s approval and he is an excellent photographer. Plus, she has great taste in landscape and fashion. Just ordered her straw hat.😊 Anxious to try her Trader Joe’s party suggestions.
I am very much a country gardener. I do have a few clay pots for the large plants that I take inside for the winter, but my flowers outside are planted in old crocks. vintage copper boilers, wash tubs, old washstands and even an antique cream separator. A wine tasting party sounds like great fun.
Well, this was so fun and informative! I have never attempted a Topiary, but am feeling a bit of "courage" to try my hand at it! LOVED all the yummy hors d'oeuvre's from Trader Joes! And, I must tell you I was sipping on a lovely glass of wine as I was watching this! What a GREAT neighborhood you have found yourself in! Wine has always been around in my life, as my mother is half Italian and I can remember, fondly, running around in the backyard at my grandfathers family home as my Great Uncle Francis Ginocchio sat in a chair in the middle of the yard, a small vinyard on one side and a lovely flower garden on the other. He drank homeade red wine in a small juice glass while taking puffs of his large cigar, blowing it in my face as I ran past him. This was GREAT! Oh, and as far as a choice for container gardening I love terracota and also the white....hmmm, decisions, decisions! Well, for now....sending love and blessings your way! Cheers!
My friend and I drove by your house yesterday and the garden is looking amazing! I only live 5 minutes away, so I will drive by more often. 🙂 Hope that's not too weird. Just love seeing other people's gardens.
I love the terracotta look, also the cobalt blues, the metal pots and the black geometric pots. B, C, D, E are more my style! I live in a historic home also, made of cedar shingles and bricks. Love today's video, LInda and Stewart!
According to "Hoyle" is the reference I think you were looking for. Love Trader Joe's for everything - good to have your suggestions. Thank you! NIce to see Big Jamie and Johnny bringing in the groceries. Stewart is a gem, especially at the plant banter with you. You keep him nourished for his good videography.
I loved this video how you jumped around from different topics. What a fun new neighbor that’s a Sommelier I had taken a class from a Sommelier as a Jr Sommelier it was fun but since my head injury/brain fog I don’t drink which really takes the joy out of being with my friends that do the same as you, but I digress. I love the hat/sandals too. Thanks for always sharing your garden on the Cottage on the Hill.
Pruning is very restful and satisfying...more so than weeding, I found. The Cottage on the Hill is so beautiful! No doubt about it, I LOVE the Terra Cotta pots!
Loving what you have done with the new front yard garden. I hope you and Sydney will do a video together soon. I would love to see your new backyard mimic your backyard garden at your old home with nandinas, hydrangeas and shade plants . It was so shady and cozy.🌷Thanks for taking us on the beautiful garden journey.
I feel so happy for all these Greek dishes in your table. I feel proud too, because I am from Greece. Linda you have excellent taste and recognise the really good things. I LOVE YOU 💕
I love to look at all the the colors. But when I'm ready to purchase I go with neutrals. I love terra cotta shades that are everlasting. I love the colors of aging and no matter what I put into them, they are beautiful. I,too, love the conversation between Linda and Stewart. Always look forward to videos. I love the front and side gardens and can hardly wait to see what you do in the back. Thank you for sharing.
I am a B & C girl myself.....❤❤❤.....I have just begun my Topiary Journey....have Always done Citrus, Olive, Pomegranate and Tropicals in ground and in pots.....but, now Topiary Eugenias, boxwood, cypress and Gardenia are being woven throughout my gardens and patios....and hold their own beautifully amoungst the other beauties surrounding them.....✌️💜💋
Hi Linda! When I add a new plant that is significant to my garden, I always add a tall metal tag that, on one side, shows the name of the plant and on the other side shows the date I planted it. I use my Brother label maker for the labels. I’ve done it this way for years and it works well for me.
So much I could comment on in this video! My container choices for my little space are terracotta, cobalt blue, and I have a few small Talavera pots sprinkled in there . Now, I’m off to Trader Joe’s! Although I regularly purchase some of the items you featured, you pointed out some great new items. Thank you!
Question of the day. I am a style B or C. I love the colors, but was always taught that if you want the flower to show then a "green" dark planter...... Your Wine tasting looked like fun. Thank you.
"C" all the way! I do have classic antique cast iron urns, painted black and aging, scattered around, but its the classic look. I like my pops of color to come from flowers.
Your yard is amazing already! I love Italian terracotta pots best, but I now also have a corner of white pots on my patio. The turquoise colored pots did look great with green! I also love your collection of topiaries!
Hi , Linda and Stewart! I loved today’s video- it had a little bit of everything! 👍🏼 My pottery aesthetic is mostly C - terra cotta. However, I love color too much to use ONLY terra cotta. I have a big black oak tree and a big bald cypress tree in my north Texas backyard… and they provide luscious shade most of the day (I’m definitely not mad about that!!)! So I have inserted bright colors in the form of blue, turquoise, green, red, orange, and white glazed ceramic pots which I partner alongside my terra cotta pots. Then I toss in a sprinkling of yummy Mexican Talavera pots to bring it all together. I guess that makes me an “F”(iesta)! LOL The bright colors look delicious in my shady garden! ❤
There’s so much going on in this video that I found myself FF a lot. It was all over the place. It went from gardening, to styling, to entertaining, to styling, to gardening. Maybe finish one part first, then move on to the next topic. This could have also been done in 3 videos.
Your taste in hats is impeccable. Every time there is a video where you are wearing one,my socks get blown off! Then I say to myself,”why am I wearing socks when I know that I’m about to see Linda wearing a hat!?! Now,I gotta go out and buy more socks! The sock producing industry thanks you,Linda.🙄😂
I am a greek fun of yours! I got so happy to know that you like the greek kitchen! I think i Love you more after this episode! We very often put the feta cheese in the oven together with peppers, olive oil and oregano, try it!
My home and garden are European traditional and I use weathered terra cotta and gray cement pots. I follow your tip to limit the style of pots in the garden.
I have to say that I’m a total terracotta pots lover….I also love a more serene garden, with few colors that coordinate. The only color I use for my pots is the terracotta color and no other color pots anywhere. I like how easy it is on the eyes when using only one color type of pots. The garden is more French and English inspired…I have white roses, hydrangeas, lavender & pink roses throughout and lots of alyssum too in white and purple.
Truly, I like all of the versions of containers shown - but hands down - I am D; Blue is my signature color. I pair it with apple and mint greens and turqoise. This year, I changed up my composition and the addition of marigolds to the blue containers, set off by the lowwalker catmint and silvery green of licorice plant is just so gorgeous, especially at twilight. The containers add that visual interest, even when the garden is very young.
I’m a definite “D” probably because the deep shades are so Royal and it reminds me of growing up in the Florida panhandle with various shades of soothing luscious blues. It’s such a relaxing and cool color and compliments most other colors. 💙💛💙❤️💙💜💙💚💙🌱💙🌱💙💙💙💙💙
Linda. Your topraries are gorgeous! Love them. You do such an amazing job working with these and creating them. So beautiful! So lovely. Thanks for sharing them!
I love blue & white chinoiserie planters and use them inside and outside on our front porch. A terracotta pot that has turned a bit copper looks fabulous under my new 8 ball topiary boxwood; we bought a copper pot for our garden hose to put next to this by a dwarf apple tree I dug up from our backyard (who taught me this?!?) I put medium sized hydrangeas in front of my larger boxwood rectangular bushes and created tiny round boxwood bushes in a semi circle in front inspired by YOU! I’ve collected most of my planters from the side of the road.
I think this is by far my favorite video thus far ! I have followed you for over a year and have watched every video ! I have your book and ordered the second ! I love the variety of this video. I have 3 topiaries I have started this past year.
Hi Linda and Stewart! I like iconic looking containers. I just planted a classic lady’s head with some succulents I had indoors for winter. I got that idea from garden answer (Laura has mentioned your show) and today I planted some sedum from my garden into a big resting cat container from JoAnnes. My containers are at the front door. I don’t do many containers anymore. I will be adding containers for herbs which I use in my cold tea or seltzer drinks. I like peppermint in my drinks. My window boxes have faux evergreens with twinkle lights which come on every night. I stopped planting live things in the window boxes a few years ago. Except in spring when i stick hyacinths in them and then transplant them to the garden. Love the casual safari look! Hope you had a nice wine tasting!
I have a sad Eugenia topiary I overwintered and this video was excellent timing!! Thank you Linda and Stewart! Always fun content! Loved all the containers!
I collected cobalt blue ceramic pots for years. However, I also collect terracotta and white ceramic pots. In past years, I have scattered them throughout my garden concentrating the colors in specific areas. This year, I have arranged my pots, grouping them with their color families. My terracotta group contains 9 pots of various sizes. The white group has 7 pots in a shady area containing a lot of heuchera. The blue pots remain scattered. Bunching pots together helps with watering.
I mix cobalt blue with terracotta and your 'concrete' planters. I also have some black mixed in because I love black in the garden. Like a black bowling ball. Loved the spread - Mediterranean is my fav food. Nice to have a sommelier as a friend. My friend was married to one - they divorced - I miss that man...LOL I just bought a very healthy 3 ball Eugenia topiary at Lowes for $49. I love her!!
I LOVE terra cotta. And Cottage style flowerbeds. Glad I found you!!! Hi from Texas Zone 8 a. 🙂So I select C style. And I love you and Stewart filming together. So enjoyable and informative. Thank You!!!
Book of Hoyle! All classic card games. I would pick C! And, your wine tasting choices look delicious. I’m enjoying your garden progress. Inspiration for us all in different degrees.
I was hoping to find the wine list. Am I missing it somewhere? What a fun video that was and you have moved into the perfect neighborhood!! A friend who is a Somm!!! I am a terracotta girl but love the white & blue too. Gosh!! Thanks.
I have most of my plants out in front in large containers and favor a mix of terra cotta and cobalt/light blues (many I've painted). I'm glad I always have feta cheese, etc. around-this video made me hungry!
I so wish there was a Trader Joe’s near me. Closest is Wilmington, NC which is 75 miles away and is situated at an address that is difficult to access. Hubs and I love the Apothic blends. We have tried many different reds but always go back to Apothic.
I love the Terra cotta and the metal containers! Wondering where Linda was at filming all those beautiful containers. I live in Oklahoma City and want to go visit that business!
Loved the video! A tutorial for topiary! Also I have been selecting Trader Joe wines based on TH-cam sommelier recommendations! I’m a fan of Trader Joe’s and fortunately have on within walking distance- as long as I only shop for the day😂!
I am a dark pot lover (B) because I like the plants or flowers to take the spotlight, with the exception of one large aqua color pot for a focal point.
Is it just me or does anybody else love the intro and interaction between Linda and Stewart? 😊 Look forward to every video! 😊

I love the “I Love Lucy” reference in this video
I think we all feel so lucky that you’ve put out so many videos recently!! Love it Linda and Stewart. Todays was a lot of fun with so much variety.
Ha’the legendary “Vitawheatavegamin” moment.
It is Lucy’s best one, even better than the chocolate factory😂
Linda and Stewart’s bantering is so fun n cute
I was in my yard today digging up heavily rooted plants out of my large blue containers. About killed me. Then of course noticed some trees that needed trimming and "canopy" kept popping up in my brain, thanks to Linda. Needles to say, filled the green waste today. I have learned so much from her. I like white flowers, but I prefer terracotta and dark pots.
I love watching Linda for gardening and was thrilled to see her doing a short entraining segment (which I’d love to see more of). I would love more information on her guest that provides the wine tasting trips to Italy. Thanks again for your channel and the content it provides ❤
I love cobalt blue containers, birdbath, and small fountain.
I have had five large cobalt blue glazed pots scattered around my garden beds for years now. I love the pop of color that they bring to the landscape.
Moderate deuton colorblind & love that you do that! I’m going to try this too. Blue glass makes me happy! 😊

I would love a list of the wines!!!!! Budget friendly good sparking wines!!!

A real Middle Eastern feast. Love the heavy glass vase with the yellow arrangement. Saw hubs & John come in the back ground.

D❤️ Colbert blue! Color for me! Your bright yellow top is GIVING😀
My favorite container style is definitely “D” the cobalt and assorted tones of blue!
Love the new style of video❤ it's like getting
"more bang for your buck"!!!🎉
Question of the day. I am a style B or C. I love the colors, but was always taught that if you want the flower to show then a "green" dark planter...... Your Wine tasting looked like fun. Thank you.
Love the essence of pruning..

It is NOT to much. What it is IS AMAZING !
Suns Out, Guns Out! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 What an inspiration you are not only in the garden but working out!!! 🥰

My favorite pots are classic terracotta and cobalt blue! I have a large collection of both and love the pop of color throughout my gardens. 🧡💙
Those red pants are so cute!
I think I’m more neutral colored pots. My fave is probably the terra cotta . I like an Italian vibe.
Your taste in hats is impeccable.
Every time there is a video where you are wearing one,my socks get blown off!

I absolutely fell in love with Linda’s orange floral pants. I found them on poshmark. I bought them! Yay me. 🥳
I like the bronzer ones, terra cotta and a touch of the cobalt blue mixed around.
My home and garden are European traditional and I use weathered terra cotta and gray cement pots. I follow your tip to limit the style of pots in the garden.
Beautiful ideas for the appetizer table. Love it, can't wait to try this.

Hi Linda
I love B and C. Glad to see your first topiary cut in the new garden. The food looks delicious. Hubs and Johnny could not resist a peek😄👏💕
Fun video. The idea of wine tasting was great. I’m ready. Bring the list. Thanks
My garden and home is blue and white...touches of pink..melting into each other...inside and out, all by design...sooo pretty..love
💖
An easy recipe-- a very good flavored olive oil,add feta to the oil,and dip cubes of good sourdough bread into dip.
Absolutely loved this video. Plants,Pots,Food and Wine. Thank you for sharing.
Style D - Organic, Modern, Earthy all the way! Great video!
I'm a cobalt blue and white girl. Now I went to have a wine tasting party. Thank you Linda I love watching your Channel
I love turquoise and blue containers.
Loved the episode! Hope you cover where you bought the shirt you were wearing while gardening. Very stylish on you 😊
Truly, I like all of the versions of containers shown - but hands down - I am D; Blue is my signature color. I pair it with apple and mint greens and turqoise. ❤I agree bottom ball. I have no topiaries but I just might go for it this year. I’m a C kind of gal. Those plates are wonderful.
White. I have lots of shade so I love white and green tones.
It must be the Book of Hoyle as I’m familiar with the phrase “ According to Hoyle”. Fun wine tasting 🍷🇨🇦
I love the entertaining video!! This is great!
C - I love terracotta - although a pop of color here and there is fun
It's great watching Linda totally enjoying her zen (pruning).
We are very fortunate to have an award winning local winery, shout out to Satek winery in north Indiana. What a treat for us.
Amazing all the way through. Thank you!
I like the neutral more traditional pots in a formal style purple and white flowers with greys and shades of green
I love the blue glazed pots with a lot of colorful flowers
I think this is by far my favorite video thus far ! I have followed you for over a year and have watched every video ! I have your book and ordered the second ! I love the variety of this video. I have 3 topiaries I have started this past year.
I predominantly use terracotta pots interspersed with a pop of vibrant colored containers throughout my xeriscape Arizona rock yard
I love the cobalt blue pots. My eye goes to them.
Turquoise blue pots! I just keep going back!
As for your question regarding pots….definitely terra cotta for me!
I love the turquoise!!
Really appreciated the ideas for easy appetizers. If I can keep the food simple, I’ll be more likely to entertain.
Enjoyed your appetizer spread!
My friend was married to one - they divorced - I miss that man...LOL
I just bought a very healthy 3 ball Eugenia topiary at Lowes for $49. I love her!!
I LOVE terra cotta. And Cottage style flowerbeds. Glad I found you!!! Hi from Texas Zone 8 a. 🙂So I select C style. And I love you and Stewart filming together. So enjoyable and informative. Thank You!!!
I love a mix of cobalt blue, white and pTerracotta. With cobalt blue on top👍
Book of Hoyle! All classic card games. I would pick C! And, your wine tasting choices look delicious. I’m enjoying your garden progress. Inspiration for us all in different degrees.
I am a C, and my daughter is a D. We keep our eyes open for each other! Great vlog, love the format of a little bit of everything!💕
I have a yard full of cobalt blues- love how it sets off all of the color in my yard. So I like D.
Thanks!
I so wish there was a Trader Joe’s near me. Closest is Wilmington, NC which is 75 miles away and is situated at an address that is difficult to access. Hubs and I love the Apothic blends. We have tried many different reds but always go back to Apothic.
So enjoyable! Hey Stewart…have you ever made a cameo appearance with Linda? Would be great to see you! Happy Memorial Day! 😊
@Susan Austin saw him in a video when she was living in her old house. I think he's been in more, though.
I love both natural looking and colorful pots, depending on where in my garden I place them.
I my self would put so.e type of screening 2 sections there around the table one for each side of the 2 streets there.
I love the Terra cotta and the metal containers! Wondering where Linda was at filming all those beautiful containers. I live in Oklahoma City and want to go visit that business!
I have been into the moody grey and black and bronze with our new darker paint color.
As a kid in San Diego we had a Eugenia hedge. Those new tender leaves are edible and so are the purple berries.
WOW! Didn’t know that!
