Inspection, cleaning and maintenance of the C14 electrically adjustable windscreen mechanism. If you've never done this, you ought to view this video and consider doing so.
Thanks Tom for the tutorial, will have to look at my windshield plastic hold down pieces as I have installed an aftermarket windscreen on my bike. Maybe my plastic pieces are not fully seated down and will have to add a spacer; like you said, do not want the windscreen coming off at 80mph.
Depends upon the thickness of the windshield. The objective is to have the body of the cover seat upon the rubber gasket firmly about the same time the back side of where the screw protrudes against that boss. All I know is I would install covers and in short order they’d crack and this solved it.
Enjoyed the lesson. Question, you've had the Concours for a while. What was it about the bike that won you over from the other bikes you looked at. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
I didn’t test any others I did research and decided the C14 was more “me” because of its reputation for being kind of rough around the edges fast. Faster than the FJR at least back then it was. I can live without cruise.
Thanks for your time, amazing
Thanks for this Tom. I shared it to the KawasaGTR 1400 forum in the UK. Hope that’s okay
Hell yes. Thanks. lol.
You're priceless, I have a 2012 kawasaki concours abs black like yours, thank you very much.
Another great tutorial!
Good job

Got it, thanks Tom
Lots in common with a car power window!

Amazing tutorial. What use to clean the rails?
I think I used brake clean but used rags and plastic to keep the spray out of anywhere else, WD 40 would probably work too.
