    If your just replacing the motor you can remove the entire assembly whole. It's held in by 6 (10mm) bolts. Then just remove the motor from the assembly once it's out 3 (8mm). Taking the entire windshield assy. apart isn't necessary at all. I just replaced my motor and it took me less than an hour start to finish. Just pulled out the entire assembly then swapped in the new motor and put it back in. Didn't have to touch the cables, arms, pulleys or anything like that.

    In your video the 2 popups at the top were already removed...how do you remove them? I can slide them out partially, but I fear breaking them if I keep pulling...thanks!

    Just finished mine. You don’t have to remove the arms or detach the cables. Thanks

    I would of replaced the motor anyways and kept the original motor as a spare. Pretty sure the original is near its life expectancy

    You should retitle your video. Found it by accident. Thanks

    my father has the same issue the motor wont move up and down and a service shop in California, USA wanted to charge us $1200 to get it repaired so ,to save money might as well do it yourself.

      Its not a difficult job. Give it a try and take your time. Take lots of pictures and you can always refer back to them during reassembly.

    Gee that looks like a lot of mucking around to fix the windscreen problem 😩. Mate where in Australia do you buy these Bar risers from ? Are they aluminum or an alloy steel ?

    • @ShaunNielsen
      @ShaunNielsen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was a customer bike - i dont know where the accessories came from. They are steel though.
