I found this little gem! The small dam down stream is also full of nice ones! Great video and hook sets! I will be enjoying this spot for years to come, thank you and tight lines! 🤙🏽
Cool video, i know where this is but haven't had a chance to go. Just moved to Bishop, and I've been exploring different spots. Will be going there soon for sure
What set up do you recommend most? I would love to get details on like what kind of rig you set up , hook size etc. As a new fisherman I have much to learn
For lakes and ponds I like to fish a Carolina rig. A fairly small sliding egg sinker with a Carolina Keeper or swivel, and then a 12”-18” leader. #8 Owner Mosquito hook. Bait is either a mouse tail or the Berkeley night crawler chucks.
Thanks for visiting the area and posting the content.😊.
@@milkyfade6285 I can’t wait to get back!

@@AlsFarrierServices kind of.
I used to go to bishop as a kid all the time, gotta get back one of these days. Great job man
Thanks, my first time back in a dozen years.
Good times! Thanks for posting
You bet! Can’t wait to get back up there, but rewatching this one is almost as good.
This is breathtaking scenery.. love how you respect the fish as well. Hope to visit the area some day. Peace from SoCal..
Thanks- I think that those of us who harvest our own food come to respect the value of life the most.
I’m in so cal too- hope to see you out there.

It’s a cool spot for sure.
Awesome vid nice catches me and my dad just came back from kernville and we caught about two trout and some bass
Thank you!
What lake is that because I usually fish in the June Lake Loop? Anyway great vid and keep up the good content
@ZEEKEE24 I am keeping it on the down low for this one, it’s one of my favorite places on earth.
Hey man are there bears here? I’m going this Monday
I am sure there are, but I’ve never seen them and they tend not to bother people.
How do hookup baits work outhere in the sierras?
I have no idea, never tried em.
they work
Hello quick question where did you get the Síberian GARLIC OIL SUPER SCENT
Fisherman’s Access- fifteen years ago.
It’s like a fine wine at this point.
@@rohrsoutdoors did they stop making them I tried looking for it but can’t find it anywhere
What pond or lake is this ? beautiful 😍
I am going to keep this one a secret, it is probably my favorite spot in all of Bishop.
@@rohrsoutdoors I fish eastern sierras every year honey holes are like knowledge , what’s the use if you don’t share . 🤷🏽♂️
@@macksimms10 Well usually when you share, they no longer become a honey hole. LOL
@ lol 😂 you got me there 🤪
Awesome video, thanks for posting. What time of day did you go?
First light, over by 9:30 am
Thanks for the view.
I felt like I should be writing music. So peaceful.
Here in southern california , I would say 8 out of 10 use hook baits , from the lakes I go to.stock season here starts on november

I was just using #2 Izorline, no fluorocarbon.
At what elevation is this? Is this close to south lake?
Roughly 7,500’ I think.
@@rohrsoutdoors thanks
How long is the pole? Hopefully I go this weekend! First time and very interested on catching trout!
5’ and 7’. Longer rods for lakes and casting distance. The shorter rods better for getting around in the brush.
#2 Izorline xxx for both.
Ultralight?
@@Gokor30 #2 Izorline
Do you have the address for this place wanna take my son fishing
If you post your email address, I will send it to you, then I will delete this comment. I’m trying to keep it on the down low.
🙌🏾
Thanks!
I would like to see the fish
Understood- I try to touch them as little as possible when I am not keeping them to eat, that’s why I avoid a net and lots of time out of the water.
I went to the kerns river today with my pops and sadly skunked trying to find some good places in southern california for trout
That stinks. Trout fishing is so hit or miss it can drive you crazy.
@@rohrsoutdoors yea true just gotta keep tryiing great vid!
Cool vid but I would try to show the fish a bit more 👍🏼
I appreciate the feedback.
That’s a weirD looking pond 😅
Agreed!
😂
Thanks for watching.
@@rohrsoutdoors thank you for putting up the video 👍
