    In Oslob its sure that you will be swimming with whale sharks. But Donsol is more satisfying coz the whale sharks are rather wild. Unlike in Oslob that they are being feed to stay and it's yeah very crowded. Lots of tourists. Good luck

    Just a little info for your next visit in the philippines. Since you like Diving. You might want to visit Malapascua, an Island in the Northern Part of the island of Cebu. They have 2 dive attraction there. You can swim with the Thresher Sharks. Aswell as dive into/near the Japanese Ships Sunk in world war 2. There was a big Naval Battle near there :) Also you can visit Kalanggaman Island/Sand Bar aswell.

    Hey, go to Western Australia - Ningaloo Reef. They do an ethical tour and swim with whale sharks, they spot them via airplane and it is almost guaranteed, but pricey. But really amazing! I would recommend it. Also, do Western Australia in general, from Pinnacles to Karijini and Broome, everything is amazing :)

  • @tomfox4929
    @tomfox4929 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Having done the whale shark trip in Donsol yesterday I can't help but feel disappointed. Every blog post and video and ad I saw advertised it as a completely wild experience, ethical and with far fewer people than in Oslob. One of the key facts I saw mentioned was that each boat is limited to 6 guests only. However, what isn't mentioned is that there is no limit on the number of boats allowed to search so in my case, there were 12 boats, all with 6 guests and 4 crew, so 120 people chasing one single whale shark around the bay. With that many people and boats in such close proximity, most of the time was spent dodging other people or in many cases, not dodging, which resulted in many people having to return to shore with head injuries where they had been kicked by other guests. Actually seeing the whale shark was amazing, but with that many people it was hard for the crew to control the crowds and regulations were often broken; with multiple people grabbing the whale shark and the rules about only one boat or 6 guests per whale shark was completely disregarded.
    I can imagine the conditions in Donsol ARE better than those in Oslob but I think its important to inform people on the reality of this supposed eco-interaction.

    You probably already knew ... but typhoons and inclement weather (tropical rain storms) are common in Phil. I personally think that's why it has not (yet) become the vacation paradise that the Hawaiian Islands have become. But given that Palawan Island is attracting so much attention lately, it might lead the way. I mean, Phil is about ten times a big as Hawaii!

    Don‘t you have to wait 24hrs between diving and flying? Just wanna make sure you‘re safe 🙈 Looking forward to all the Philippines vlogs, already in love with the place from seeing your insta pics haha

      It's a bit less than 24 hours, and I did! I flew the day after that I went diving 😊

    Diving Moalboal will make up for the all the disappointments you've had since you arrived.🙂
