- If I'm honest, I actually wasn't too excited to travel Bohol before arriving because I expected it to just be super touristy. And yes, many attractions are very 'touristy' in Bohol but we made an effort to try and get a bit off the beaten track, to hidden gems that not many other people were, and Bohol turned out to be far more beautiful than I imagined.

Philippines is not expensive (go in low season Jan-Feb, it's the best time to visit pricewise and weatherwise) but it's far...very far (I'm in New York ).

Loving your Philippines vids! I'm planning a solo trip around Asia and the Philippines is a place I'm a bit nervous about, but now I'm super excited :)
Yay!!❤️❤️ It's not one you should be nervous about at all 😍 I think it's my favourite place that I've ever visited in Asia!
Just be aware of your surroundings and that's usually just for Manila tbh. The provinces are much more friendly generally speaking and lots of places are glad to have tourists so they know crime would negatively impact their livelihoods. Hopefully you have a great trip!
Make friends with a local. I’m sure you can find some in a Filipinos page. Use white taxi and make sure meter is on. If not get out. Get a sim st airport when you land for data. They have grab instead of Uber and it gives you the amount. Besides that it’s easy.
Just be friendly with locals, a lot of them are still a bit shy especially to foreigners so you might have to initiate convos :)
If you need a Filipino body guard to make you feel safe, I'm here and just call me. I will defeat evil..... 😉 Viva Filipinas 🇵🇭

two months seems long but its actually short haha. as an example, the majority of the fighter boys are now living in the PH for more than a year or more and yet still trying to discover different parts of the 7,000 islands. you haven't visited Mindanao and north Luzon. enjoy your stay and keep on discovering, take your time coz you can always come back.

If you're looking for less touristy, try visit Bicol region especially Calaguas islands, that paradise is all by yourself

If I went I’d wanna explore as much of the hidden gems of the island as possible but I don’t know how to ride a scooter so dunno how easy that would be 🤷🏽♀️ I would really like to visit Bali and other Indonesian islands though
