I was in a guitar store in London a few years ago playing some high end Martin's and Taylor's when a sales rep from Breedlove showed up to convince the retailer to take some guitars. He had a guitar with him, I can't remember much about it other than it was beautiful, played wonderfully and sounded fantastic, it knocked the socks off the Martin's and Taylors. I asked to buy it but the rep had other stores to visit and needed a product to show them. They might have picked that guitar specifically which would partly explain why it was so good. If that's the quality that comes off the production line as standard than Breedlove make great guitars.

Hi Wade from Morehead KY, I'm just north of you in Scioto Co OH and we share a similar journey. While living in the Lexington area, one day I found myself in the acoustic room of Third Rock Music in Cincinnati about 4 yrs ago and brought home a Breedlove Oregon Myrtlewood guitar that day.
Mine was the first Myrtlewood guitar that they'd gotten in with the cutaway and it is the larger Concerto body style with the natural finish. I dealt with Tony that day at Third Rock and as I was looking at the various guitars in that room, Tony first handed me the Myrtlewood guitar and the tone just amazed me and my wife as well. Keep in mind that to her, a guitar is a piece of wood with strings on it so for her to be impressed, that's saying something. After that Tony handed me a much more expensive Spruce/Rosewood guitar by Breedlove; even my wife pointed to the Myrtlewood as having the better tone. I must have played 7-8 guitars that day - Breedlove, Taylor, Masterbilt Epiphone, Fender - the Breedlove Myrtlewood came home with me that day. Mine has the typical headstock instead of the one that your guitar has, which would have been my preference over the typical but Oh Well....
One thing that really impresses me with Breedlove guitars is how balanced the tone is across the strings. The volume of each string is so close to being equal, reminds me of an electric guitar with a compressor and there are videos on You Tube that spotlights how Breedlove sands their tops to achieve this.
My only complaint with my guitar is that the fret markers are so small and hard to see but that has made me learn to trust my ear as far as position is concerned and that's not a bad thing to do

I just traded an American Fender Strat for an absolutely beautiful Breedlove Oregon Series Cognac Limited Run (#4 of only 12 made) in mint condition, and I absolutely love it! The Myrtlewood top, back, and sides creates such a wonderful tone, and the rich, bourbon-like color tone, combined with all the other features you mentioned that are on your guitar have made this the favorite guitar I own, which includes Martin, Taylor, and Larrivee. Thank you, Breedlove Guitars, for creating such a beautiful sounding and looking piece of art to make music with.

I'm not well.... I bought a Breedlove artista Concerto when I went to look at a Taylor gs mini.. I fell in love with the first strum too! This was two weeks ago... Fast forward to today, and I still don't have a parlor guitar for plinking on the couch... Until 30 minutes ago, when I ordered a concertina breedlove (the littlest sister to my Concerto), both Myrtle... I am stunned by the way it resonates, and I now own two Myrtle Breedlove guitars! 😊🙄 Enjoyed the video, and the playing!! 🤘

Nice review. Thank you. I’m down in Bowling Green, kY. Last week I purchased a Breedlove Oregon Concert CE Sitka/Myrtlewood with the same headstock. I think they look great and I’m with you, they are aesthetically pleasing instruments, a joy to play, and a sound pallet that seems to be overlooked by a lot of folks. Blessings!

One of the best breedlove guitar videos on TH-cam! I'm looking to buy a concertina in all myrtlewood and a prairie burst finish. Just looking for the right one. Thanks for the video

@@barryb777 and raising the price 200+ dollars to the organic collection. The new eco laminate guitars cost more than the all solid organic collection did. It's a shame.

Thanks for your review. I was really hoping you’d grab the Blueridge so we could a to b the sound. Problem with just hearing the one guitar on my phone is I can’t really judge the sound quality.

Really outstanding review and demonstration as well as recording of the instrument!
You definitely did the guitar justice!
Like you I have no brand loyalty, and have a Walden, Taylor, Fender, and Yamaha acoustics and love all of them!
I just purchased import Breedlove, ECO Discovery S Concert Edgeburst Red Cedar-African Mahogany, the lower end of the price spectrum, to use for singer songwriter gatherings.
I am so impressed with it that I can definitely see getting one of the higher end Breedlove's from the Bend Oregon shop in the future!
Again, great job and really nice playing as well!!

I was half listening while working on my computer. And then at some point when you hit some of those double downstrokes, I immediately turned my head. Has a gorgeous tone! I never put much thought into Breedlove until now.
By the way, what song does that riff at 10:11 go with? I've heard it before, but can't place it.

Hey Wade, I just bought the Sweetgrass Burst color of the same guitar, all Myrtlewood Limited Edition. If you call Breedlove and give them your serial number, they will tell you which number of the run your guitar is. Found out mine is #11 of 27 made in 2020.

It has a very clear voice through everything you played. I have paid too much for too many Taylor guitars that were hit or miss as far as tone. Breedlove and their sound optimization process has piqued my interest.
