I live in Belgium (Europe) and I tried to buy a Breedlove two years ago. Was impossible because they do not ship in Europe anymore. Tried to know why but received no answer. Frustrating. Bought a Taylor instead.
definitely excited to see this, where my guitar was made! breedlove makes excellent guitars and does it sustainably, love it. I like that they focus on nature and sustainability, that's why I felt ok spending so much on my c25/sse back in 2012. still so excellent and stable.
I wish they would bring back the original headstock shape. Edit: And most company owners a full of it talking about 'renewable' culture, props to this guy for really putting serious effort into it. That's the only way the earth barely has a chance (w/the greatest degree of effect that is).
I will never forget my trip to Breedlove for the 2006 Extraordinary Experience, and I fondly remember Angela's patience with me when it came time to select the back and sides for my CM Masterclass. She had just gotten a shipment of stickered walnut and was so very proud to show it to me. Together we "unstickered" most of the shipment until I found the walnut that called my name. Thank you, again, Angela! It sounds better and better every day.
I had written Breedlove directly after seeing a custom build or master built guitar of theirs for the first time. I think it was around 2010. I was off on medical leave at the time, I wasn't doing well but wanted one more good acoustic. We just don't see Breedlove here in Atlantic Canada and to this day, I still have yet to play one. I never did hear back from them. The irony of me coming across this video today while suddenly being back on medical leave. Gorgeous guitars from what I can tell and hand built.
I own a Breedlove Concert Bass and I love the instrument. It's beautifully made and sounds great. The only issue I have with the instrument is how they mount its battery. I installed a pop up battery box from stewmac to make battery replacement quick and easy. The box came with a template. It was very easy to install. I don't know, maybe they don't install them in order to maintain sonic quality? It sounds exactly the way it did before I performed the install but who knows, maybe it doesn't perform well when tested using lab equipment.
My 3rd is on its way right now. Oregon full Myrtle. Most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen. I bought an awesome prototype at a warehouse sale of theirs too. Myrtle with Sitka top, full satin finish with a red to black burst. Sounds and plays insanely perfect
I have a Focus SE model, got it from Wolfe Guitars in Florida. It's the best acoustic guitar I have ever owned. Wolfe has the largest selection you will ever see in one store, I wish I had bought a second guitar when I had the chance. Maybe I will save some of my pension money for a second one. GZ.
Fantastic Guitars! So do you high gloss every Guitar? One of my fav guitars has no high gloss, just teak oil I believe. The sound difference between high gloss finish and no finish is a world of a difference. High gloss takes away the true sound as well.
I bought one a month ago,I'm still figuring out strings, I feel like the Martin Marque strings I LOVE maybe aren't the ones. I go through strings every week (on both guitars) so I gotta keep it economical. Might grab some heavys this week at Baraboo Music.
I don't understand how a guitar maker can build their reputation on sustainability and Eco friendliness when so many of their guitars are made in China. :(
Their overseas guitars are built with fully sustainable tonewoods, too. They are changing the manufacturing landscape for the better domestically, and abroad. Only company to work this hard for sustainable forests.

Anyone who hasn't tried a Breedlove really should make a point to do so. They make some incredible sounding guitars.

VERY VERY AWESOME @SWEETWATER AND @BREEDLOVE!!! I'VE WATCHED ALL THEIR BEHIND THE SCENES VIDEOS AND THIS ONE TOPS THEM ALL!!!!

Angela is soooo cool. I have seen factory tours and have been to Breedlove factory; it's nice to hear this side of things. Thanks for highlighting it.
I own a Breedlove!!! What a great piece this is. So glad to learn…
❤
What an interesting story. Very cool. Great video too, thanks 🤘
I enjoyed watching this so much! The work and detail that goes into making these instruments is amazing ❤
Loved it
I love Breedlove’s finishes!!!
That was excellent and so interesting. Thank you for creating and posting this. As of now, I own one Breedlove guitar. Time to save for another.

My luthier shop is 5 minutes from theirs. They are the big boys in Bend now. Their showroom use to be unreal

You too? Even though mine are Chinese builds, I’m hooked on my breeds
Would have been nice to show the craftsmen doing it

Lovely
I just purchased a Stormy Night concert ce. It is a gorgeous guitar and is so easy to play.
A very interesting clip. However, what about your Chinese manufacturing factory. How are steps taken to ensure quality????
Agreed. "Crafted in China" ..do they ship their sustainable woods there? That seems expensive to do. Hmm
@@jec0435 They do, which is amazing! First company to really create this workflow of sustainability domestically, and abroad!

I’m having good luck with Ernie Ball silk wound
❤
Is the same process done in China

Don’t buy one
Maybe you shouldn't buy one, did you ever think about that?

I’m thisssss close to the Myrtlewood 12 string. My Oregonian wife might not divorce me…?
I’ve bought 2 new guitars in 2 months…?
I paid over $1200 for this Breedlove and the bridge busted within six mos after purchase, very disappointed!!
