    They are an absolutely brilliant tyre and total confidence straight after fitting. The only reason mine were changed after 6,000 miles was the rear had squared off to 1.5mm. No loss of grip and they even coped with the summer highs of 38 and a couple of trips to Bristol. Road noise is also quieter, especially good when you have been out for 3 or 4 hours. Lean angle in the rain is as good in the dry and at night when cooler.

      I find they step out and take a while to warm up completely in cooler weather.... the OEM Anakees never stepped out on me regardless cold or hot.... I just hate the noise they produce

      My rear RS4 hit the wearbar at 3200 but was not squared off no florida flatspot just worn out in the twisties. My theory its a combination of transitioning left to right at highspeed because the tires diameter is considerably smaller towards the sides but is forced back to vertical as the bike is accelerating out of corner under the highish torque of tracer 9gt ESPECIALLY with the wonderful quick shifter which instantly inflicts big torque load with each power shift. I literally aim to ride all twisties so the only non twisty is on my WAY to the twisties So expensive to run these tires! But I mean it is no doubt cheaper than if I attempted to run track day tires on my heavy Tracer 490+ with full fuel load plus my rider weight with geat of 200llbs I dont believe my lack of skill contributes that much to my lack of milage as where I ride the really competent riders that just knees down fly are only getting like 1700 miles riding on track day tires I could be wrong but I doubt they would get any more milage than I do if they ran sport touring rubber ...but honestly idk maybe I am screwing my tires somehow I mean other than trying to ride fast...I am NOT interested in a slower pace just to save money lol

    Hello guys,
    I had the same issue of my bike wanted to fall to the left. Tested on MT-09 Tracer 2016 model, and this was obvious from the 1st km, so this wasn't a worn out effect or something like that.
    So today after 15k km having these crappy tyres, I am going to the Dunlop Roadsmart 4, hoping that these will be fine for sport touring, and some cornering.
    Michelins had great grip, fast warm up, great on cornering but I am not taking the risk to have the same issue again....
    Cheer from Greece !

    I have a gsa with road 6’s, no issues when using cruise control.

    I had RS 3's on my ST1300 and I loved them. I'd love to get a set of these for my GSA.

    I think Michelin has a problem with the Road 6's. I put a set on my Vstrom last summer and every time I took my hands off the bars the bike wanted to fall to the left. Not pull, but fall to the left. It was so bad I ended up going with Continental TKC70's and the problem went away as soon as I did.

      Watched your video on these Roadsmarts IV. I currently ride a 2020 Yamaha XSR 900 stock factory and it has had a couple sets of "Made in Japan" Roadsmart III's fitted and there is no way I can get over 3,000 miles before they are cream crackered. I'm in Australia and of course we don't don't ride any wet roads or in cold conditions so 90% is 25 Celcius blue sky days however I rarely exceed 5,000rpm because the Yam triple is a torque monster. I never run manufacturer rubbish 36 F and 42 R. Generally I'll ride 28 F and 32 rear and they stick like poo to a doonah! Hate to live in the UK. What a bleak place! Yuck.@@RiderCamTV

    I would happily give up wet performance in favor of dry milage! Personally when it rains? I dont ride! I mean unless I get caught and in that case I am riding slooooow

    Just a thought, could the pulling to one side on cruise control have anything to do with power changes to the rear wheel on a single sided shift drive? Similar to gyroscopic effects?

    • @RiderCamTV
      @RiderCamTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      we thought that when at BMW but turns out to be the tyres. New tyres now on the bike and corrected it instantly! :)

    Road 6 on a gs triple black 2021 no issues' especially as sat nag on the back looks over and leans to the right !!, Are you sure your not sitting side saddle , or maybe you carry your wallet in the right hand pannier!!!! lol

    I would try these tires on my ZX10r for free. I do use them on my Tiger 1050 and they are night and day over the old ones.

    Maybe you could have considered the PIRELLI ANGEL GT's ? 😇 my mate has these on his GS. A fair bit cheaper than your RS4. I have Angel STs on my Triumph Speed Triple 1050 and these hold the world record for sports touring longevity. The Angel tyre tread looks very similar to your Dunlops too. I tend to go for older tyres like the Angel because they have a awesome reputation but are not silly money..... I recently paid only £140 for a pair for my Speed Triple. Another tyre that springs to mind for budget option is the Continental Contimotion (these are awesome on Suzuki Bandit 1200).

    It would be great to hear your feedback on these v the Mutants and Michelin Road 6's. The Michelin Road 5's were fantastic on my 1250 GS. Currently looking at replacements for a Tiger 800.

    • @markholroyd5365
      @markholroyd5365 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Mutants now have 8300 miles on them and they are awesome!

    • @RiderCamTV
      @RiderCamTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are on a GSA I would avoid the Road 6's as they made my bike learn to the left considerably especially when on cruise control. Grip was fantastic in the dry, not so fantastic in the wet though for me.

    Got Dunlop mutant on new s1000xr and keep it 2500 miles in most of miles between September to February so not hot time , also most of ride in aggressive mode only roads never track never burnout… so disappointing

  • @lennykibbs260
    @lennykibbs260 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Negative.... My 1250 GSA never drifted with the OEM Anakees, went straight as piss....mounted Road 6's and started to drift to the left, I always ride with no hands when permissible... No brainer with the Anakees.... it's a chore with the Road 6's, constantly have to push the bar to correct... whats the point with riding no hands

      I have a 1200RT and run the Road 6 GT's and have similar experience. Even with more weight in the right pannier. Otherwise they've been great with over 10k miles in the last 10 months but I'd like something that tracks straight.
