Looking at the Wario and Mario series side by side is insane. While Mario's games have a family friendly approach to their style, Wario goes all in on surrealism. Enemy and level design, soundtrack, it's actually hard to believe these two coexist within the same land.
Thanks for being the ONLY good quality playthrough of this game (so far). I gotta say, for a Game Boy Advance game the audio sounds pretty... well, advanced.
I find it amusing how, now having more advanced sound hardware, they went all in on having voice effects for everything, even when completely unneeded. “Look, everyone, we can do voice now!”

I played this game to 100% completion back when the GBA was relevant. it was and is my favorite game of all time. i wish they'd rerelease it on something new so I could play it. otherwise, I got an old gameboy and one of the original cartridges on amazon, but my gameboy doesn't have a backlight so it doesn't look that great, especially when you're used to playing the switch oled! it would be a dream come true to see this released on the switch.

Would a "true" longplay include both normal and hard runs as well as super-hard? I'm sure they could all reasonably be separate runs, really. A combined run could primarily be a normal run with a focus on the changes in hard and super-hard. I never had the guts to finish even a hard mode playthrough as a kid. Tempting to find some way to give it a shot.
This game is too hard to play for a child... most of those puzzles and hidden paths need some gaming senses to solve. playing this at 10 definitely like hell.
I played this when I was 7 or 8 and I beat it I was really good at this game and I never watched a vid and now after a few weeks I’m gonna get warriors land back because I miss it.

The creepiest part is the hurry up part. The music makes you feel like you are trapped in a colon transplant and need to escape.
