Glad you got the Dragon King Greataxe! Grass Crest Shield is also in Garden I also like your Eastern with Elite Knight Helm fashion you should hold onto it for a little while! Also I and many others love DS2 and so does Miyazaki! Its got great PvP, looks beautiful, has a great story, some of the best fashion and it is the most unique of the series and when you get into it we in the comments will help you!

About DS2, pvp people love it. PvE people find the boss runs mildly annoying. PvE multiplayers absolutely detest that the boss runs are long enough to get invaded.
Dark Souls 2 is awesome :) it might be a hot take, but f the haters. It has great exploration, a ton of weapons, armor and spells and it has powerstance. The lore is also top tier. Boss fights are better than ds1r but not on the level of ds3 or bb.
Missing so many NPCs. You should explore the entire area while human before taking on the bosses. You missed a Thorn Knight Kirk invasion in the depths. Can't remember if that locks you out of his armor or weapons now. Head back to firelink shrine to find the pyromancer you freed from the barrel and get a pyromancy flame. No stat requirements for fire spells. Best magic in game.

it's always fashion souls. Also you can upgrade armor to +10 if you really have trouble surviving.
Well actually poise matters but that's about the only Stat that's important on armor. And the wolf ring usually covers the poise you need.
