It's not disappear, actually it forced to be separated from Hinduism in name of religion,
While hinduism is only relegion which destroys any philosophy or statement that defines religion,
Instead it shows path as karma ... A good & meaningful karma .

Adi Sankara is commonly attributed to the revival of Hindu philosophy through debates and discourses throughout India. Before his time Buddhism was very prevalent in India. Remember that in those days, if a local ruler switched religion, all his subjects followed suite.

I think people ignore the history of Buddhism in southern India, the rivalry between Jainism and Buddhism, how Bakthi movement put an end to the growth of both Buddhism and Jainism in Tamil countries. How Palla empire of Bengal used Buddhism to attract southeast and east Asian traders, and how Cholas take the control of the trade back from Buddhist Kingdoms of India and outside, all of those played a huge part in why Buddhism can't take a hold in India and the final nail in coffin came in the form of Islamic invasion, almost every Buddhist majority kingdom in India and outside became Islamic nation.

Within 100 years the number of Buddhist adherents only takes up less than 0.7% of the Indian population.

It is the oldest Theravada Buddhist Temple in Europe.Founded in 1924 by a German Buddhist named Dr. Paul Dahlke and after he died in 1928, the property was bought in 1957 by a young Sinhalese businessman from Sri Lanka, named Asoka Weeraratna. The latter founded the German Dharmaduta Society in 1952 and led the first Buddhist Mission to Germany from Sri Lanka in 1957 with three Buddhist monks. It is a fascinating story. Das Buddhistische Haus will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding on August 3rd and 4th of this year 2024. You may get more information by contacting the Temple.

Although Buddhism originated in India, the Sinhalese of Sri Lanka have managed to maintain Buddhism for a long time by using very hard work in the history of thousands of years. Sri Lankan Buddhists were very dedicated to rebuilding the destroyed temples, facing more than 30 years of litigation in Indian courts to assert the rights of Buddhists to all major Buddhist temples in India.

Yes, Prince Sidhuhath was born in Lumbini, Nepal. As a Buddhist, I also went to that place and worshiped. We thank the government and the people of Nepal for protecting that place well. But the Buddhists know very well that Indians use the word Buddhism only for diplomatic strategies and to earn money from tourists who come to visit Buddhist temples. In fact, it is because of the intervention of the Buddhist monks of Sri Lanka and the Buddhists of the main Buddhist countries that the most important Buddhist temples of the Buddhists are maintained. This is the reality of Buddhism in India.

      vedas are too.
There is absolutely NO historical evidence of vedas. Oldest manuscript is of 1464 AD (almost no one in India knows this). Our Brahmin, communist historians have taught as vedas are of 1500 BC. There is absolutely zero evidence of vedas. There was no Sanskrit. Sanskrit is also a later language made later.
There is a lot and lot that are getting unfolded.
For Example, our historians are absolutely silent before Gautama Buddha. I Know now that there were 27 Buddhas prior to him like Konagaman buddha, Kassap buddha, Tissa buddha, dipankara buddha, medhankara buddha etc.
There was no such thing as Hinduism in India before 8th-9th century.
Turks, Iranians and Arab invaders used to call people after Indus as "Hindus". Even this word is not ours, then how can we belong to a religion named Hinduism?
All archeological digging has only found stuffs related to Buddhism. Archeological survey of India knows this very well.
But now many people(still very less minority) of us know.
when you ask any laymen in India about Buddha, they will say Buddha was a Hindu before. This is the level of Brainwashing.
Final Blow to Buddhism in India came in 13th century, when Turks destroyed lots of Buddhist monasteries in Present day Bihar.
Turks established Rule and Brahmins under them established social order that completely ended Buddhism in India. We were punished for studying and was only reserved for Brahmins. We were reduced to low caste who are born to serve them. Legacy of Asoka, Buddha disappeared altogether in 13th century. British then read the Dhamma script of Asoka for 1st time in 1837,till that year we had no idea we ever had Asoka, Buddha. We were only told about fictional Ramayana, Mahabharat etc.
It's just heartbreaking what has happened in India in past 10-12 centuries.

Today, little of Buddhism remains there, except shards of smashed works.

Good documentary ...but some parts missing .
Thailand ,sri lanka, miyanmar is follwing ''THERAWADA'' , which are pure buddhist lessons from buddha..these are the ones king ashoka spreaded....
While when u talking a out china and central countries following ''MAHAYANA'', which are totally different and ...and wrong practice ....
Lets talk about how buddhism vanished from india... Yes your correct after king ashoka died...that china monk visited india... And they did all bullshit thing and act as buddhist monk...so the same time other religions start anger at them and also buddhism.so beause of those chinies monks act ....indian people start anger on buddhism.... Mean time muslims came and destroied all religious places.....
Then after few year ,hindu and other religions start boost.
Then person called valmiki did a research and he was worried about sri lanka, that buddhism will be come back from sri lanka to india... So he wrote a book called ''RAMAYANAYA'' . which making indian people to hate sri lankan... This story is totally myth and over 200 research of lankan has found nothing about RaWan......
As we got buddhism from india...and we are really like to give it back... 18000 buddhas pure lessons .
Dharam...which bring you to heaven or parinirwan.....
      But are you ready ???

Most of the family have moved away from the way they were raised. I think that is for a few reasons. 1. So religions will shun you if you have a child out of wedlock (many years ago, mostly). 2. Some religions build Men up, making them feel like powerful heads of household. 3. Poverty made some not want to celebrate holidays, as they felt they could not afford to. 4. So religions did not encourage certain career choices. 5. Some followed their husband's religion, leaving their own. 6. Some of us were raised without religion and loosely chose our own beliefs, not attending any church. 7. Those who question the structure of churches and their hierarchy. There are so many reasons

During the Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, Buddhism in northern china flourished, and there were many exchanges with Afghanistan and Central Asia. Xuanzang lived in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. His travel records led to the excavation of the Nalanda ruins in India.

Miss Palki Sharma, thank you for acknowledging the birthplace of Lord Buddha. However, in this entire video, there isn't a single clip of Lumbini, where Buddha was born. Therefore, before creating a video, please conduct thorough research on how the birthplace of Buddha looks. If there are mistakes in such minor details, how can we trust the accuracy of the information you provide?

What's the deal with these falsified nationalistic narratives? Huh. Can't you digest the fact that there was no Nepal or India as a country at that time. It was all Indian civilization. Siddhartha Gautama as a prince was born in what is current day Lumbini, Nepal. He became enlightened and transformed into Buddha under Bodhi tree in what is current day Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. So, there is no mine or yours. We have a shared past. Simple. That shouldn't be hard to understand. I don't know why many Nepalis become insecure and sometimes start claiming unreasonable things like Buddhism originated in Nepal. No, read history properly please. Educate yourself from books & archaeological evidences not Whatsapp disinformation.

He gave his first sermon in (present-day) India, lived in India, reached nirvana by giving up his material body in India. His father ruled a district in India. Yes he was Indian and all his teachings are originally recorded in India only from where it spread. Also, Nepal as she mentioned was a part of Ancient Indian-subcontinent only, hence Sita was also known as an Indian Princess.

I have been following your news for a long time since as I consider you, Ms. Palkyi Ji , one of the outstanding, bold and honest news reporters.
However, this time I am surprised that you have not mentioned a word on Tibet, one of the most faithful Buddhist countries in Asia with 90% of its people are Buddhist follower. As for now, the Tibetan Buddhist is one of the most influential and profound holder of the Buddhist tradition in the world. So I am wondering why you have not mentioned a word on Tibetan Buddhist and its long history since 7th century of Buddhist practice, which are widely accepted and following in the world.

First of all Tibet is not a country but a province of China. Second, Buddhism spread to that Tibetan region from Nepal. Nepali princess Bhrikuti and Buddhabhadra spread Buddhism in Tibet and rest of China. Get your facts straight boy.
