- Rickwood Caverns is located north of Birmingham AL and was a wonderful cavern system to explore. It's got some very interesting history to it's discovery and developments to make it an open cavern system for the public to visit. Very nice campground areas as well nestled in the hills.
That does look like a nice place to visit. Great video Adam. Like all the pictures at the end.
Thanks Steve
Yet another cool place seen with Adam and Abby, my favorite tour guides on TH-cam. Thank you!
Thanks Adam and Abby, sure enjoyed the tour... as usual :)
Thanks again for allowing me to come with you guys on an adventure to a place that I would have never been able to see. I really enjoy traveling with you and Amy to interesting places. I think this is almost as good as it gets on TH-cam. Only thing missing is to see some chips turn Blue! Keep going and showing!
Many thanks for great adventure! Oh, and thanks for doing all those steps!
Thanks for sharing, cause I dont do tight places that well anymore. And yes pulse was running just watching.....
Adam....You guys are so obviously having fun that it comes across in the video, and it's contagious!! Cool looking, and fascinating place....and fun to watch! Thanks!
Absolutely Awesomely Beautiful.!.!.!.
Very nice. Thank you for sharing. Your a great couple and lucky you have so many shared interests. So many great places to visit in driving distance from your home. Not so much in New England unless you like old houses and "quaint" New England villages. I would prefer to live in the south but I cant deal with the heat and humidity. My wife was born in Daytona Beach and she loves the climate. I guess you have to be born to it. My daughter now lives in Daytona beach and she can hear the races from her house. She's a fan. Thanks again for all your efforts in making videos. I like them all. Also, glad your medical thing went well. You lost weight and your looking good.
I really enjoyed reading the book. The Three Ring Circus. How Rickwood Caverns Became A State Park. Written by C. E. Rickels. In 1992.
Abby looks like she is having a lot of fun and. she seems to be so happy to be with you. Thanks for a great vid, Cliff
Adam and Abby,
Thanks for the wonderful trip into someplace that I will probably never get to visit. There is so much beauty and interesting things to see in this USA of ours. While you are young and like doing this with your (dare I say) girlfriend, go for it, man! Reach for the gusto! Take in all of this country you can possible can! Yes, I'm upset that I never took the chance. I was too busy making a paycheck and spending it on stuff. I don't mean to sound like I'm lecturing your and Abby. Just don't make the mistake I made and let life pass you by.
I really love this channel! It get to see things through the lens of your camera that I never can. Please keep up the great work!
Have a good one!
Dave
Outstanding Video Adam. Love these trips that you and Abby make. I got to tell you. My wife and I full-time RV'ed for 8 years. It was the most wonderful time of our lives. You might think about getting an RV sometime. That way, you do not have to pack up every morning, and you are always sleeping in your own bed.

Maybe one day, even thought about renting one for a trip.
Scared of heights, but not claustrophobic. Got it. Looks like a really cool cave. I like your adventures. They are a fun diversion from shop talk, just like the BBQ.
Hey Abom79! Double piles of thanks for the subterranean vid! Ride ride ride!
Very cool Adam, thanks for sharing...
Hi Abbey
I'll bet those Boy Scouts just had a blast down there!
At 15:30 on the video is the formation they called "The Cave Man's Hand". Those are some long ago memories.
Beautiful cave, it did look really well lit. So did you count how many stairs that was on the way out? Mammoth has 280 on the climb out the new entrance. That one will warm you up for sure! lol
She told us, it's around 100 steps to get out.
Fantastic camera work and editing! Everything was beautiful. You are to be praised for all the weight you are losing. Next time you will be able to run through the cave with no effort or getting stuck in narrow passages.
Thought you guys were meant to be taking it easy on your R&R!! Not doing a full-on workout 😜
Great vid, and as ever, many thanks for posting. Nice to see the lovely Abby again, too. Say a big 'Hi' from the UK.
Cheers, guys. 👍👍
Dr said to get out, walk, and exercise. No heavy lifting. You expect me to sit in a chair all day?
Abom Adventures Was only kidding Adam. 😎 But had me puffin' on the couch just seeing all them steps on the way out. Phew!! lol
Nice Vadose passage. Not a bad looking cave.
that wooden door to the elevator shaft is replaced with a iron door now. we went there this weekend.
Enjoyed Adam!

That looked like a lot of fun......any idea on the vertical decent?
Rosser Pace around 200 ft at its lowest
You don't like heights but 100 feet underground is fine with you.
Another place to put on our list to visit!
I’m on solid ground in a cave
Wondrous!!
Do they still have pool and c a mping
Yep
I would never make it up those steps.
