As a french native born and raised in Paris i loved to explore a totally different kind of caves the catacombes underneath the city Paris is a giant swiss cheese man men carved caves but in the mid 80's there was no maps available the catacombs some of them carved as far as 1680 was a fantastic playground for me 14 degres celsius all year around i used to spend till 72 hours down there looking exploring always with respect because there are millions of human remains in there I waa looking for a specific place it was a urban legend at that time (at least for me) the place were a human body was discoverd dating back the french revolution in 1789 it seems this man wanted to escape the terror at that time and tried to escape Paris through the catacombs i found the place there was a marble plate on the wall telling his story the poor man ran out of light food and water imagine yourself lost in pitch black dark place and i guess at that time thinking about monsters and religious stories. Hallucinating... this place is now well documented anyway that day it happened that i had the same kind of experience i ran out of batteries no light what so ever i sat down thinking i was going to die like this man when the adrenalin kicked in and i thought NO i cant stay there die like a victim i decided to try and thanks god after 3.4.maybe 5 hours i dont know i finally other catacombs lovers they helped me to reach the exit i continues to explore for few years then i grew up and didnt want to risk my life anymore after i met my wife and had kids

Do NOT go in with people you dont know. Sometimes there are guys who will tell you that they know the place they will invite you to go with them and once in they will guide you for a little while and they will disappear and leave you underground alone. They dont do that to kill you or kidnap you no. They do this kind of thing because they just think it is funny, for them it is a good prank... Another thing this entrance is "famous". Homeless people live in the tunnel and there are all kind of funny business in there so... The 2nd entrance is in a way "safer" except it is in the middle of a street on a sidewalk. You have to open a very heavy sewage trapdoor i let you imagine the lack of discretion... its in the 14th district in front if a church (i dont remember the name) but there are a lot of sewage access on the sidewalks and if you dont know exactly which one is the one... even if i give you lots of details not sure you find it Anyway i am pretty sure that the 1st entrance is the easiest one to find

They smell like dirt and rock, the temperature is a constant 56 degrees all year round. I tried to avoid touching the walls but just a little tap sent the wall crashing down.

Have you ever thought of using RC cars to look ahead where it appears that it's gonna be a tight space to crawl through? I could guess some of the limitations such as having to carry one and so forth.
Some of these caves can be miles. And 100s of yards of crawling. You’d be hard pressed to get an rc back in a lot of these types of tight spaces in one piece. But their are caves that start as tunnels you could explore from the outside that would let you know if you should even enter or not in the first place. That’d be cool.

Oh man I was really hoping that thing wouldn't collapse on y'all. That looked like it could go down on any minute. It Looked very unstable. I'm glad you guys made it out safe.
You guys are fearless. Definitely my 2 favorite cavers to watch.
Fearless? Nuts! They must have a deathwish.
As a french native born and raised in Paris i loved to explore a totally different kind of caves the catacombes underneath the city Paris is a giant swiss cheese man men carved caves but in the mid 80's there was no maps available the catacombs some of them carved as far as 1680 was a fantastic playground for me 14 degres celsius all year around i used to spend till 72 hours down there looking exploring always with respect because there are millions of human remains in there
I waa looking for a specific place it was a urban legend at that time (at least for me) the place were a human body was discoverd dating back the french revolution in 1789 it seems this man wanted to escape the terror at that time and tried to escape Paris through the catacombs i found the place there was a marble plate on the wall telling his story the poor man ran out of light food and water imagine yourself lost in pitch black dark place and i guess at that time thinking about monsters and religious stories. Hallucinating... this place is now well documented anyway that day it happened that i had the same kind of experience i ran out of batteries no light what so ever i sat down thinking i was going to die like this man when the adrenalin kicked in and i thought NO i cant stay there die like a victim i decided to try and thanks god after 3.4.maybe 5 hours i dont know i finally other catacombs lovers they helped me to reach the exit i continues to explore for few years then i grew up and didnt want to risk my life anymore after i met my wife and had kids
can you still access the catacombs?
@@finrobinson9945 yes it is possible i know 1 way through the sewage tunel system and another one is in a very old railway tunel before there was 2 others but the police closed them
@@stephane4266 where can I find the 2 entrances that aren't blocked
@@wweminehead there is in a tunnel on a old railway named "la petite ceinture" there are no more trains using this tunnel. The entrance look like a hole in the wall. Maybe 60 centimeters high, 1 meter large so you have to crawl a bit but once you manage to go in, you are officially in the catacombs the problem is you MUST go with a person you trust 200%.
You have to open a very heavy sewage trapdoor i let you imagine the lack of discretion... its in the 14th district in front if a church (i dont remember the name) but there are a lot of sewage access on the sidewalks and if you dont know exactly which one is the one... even if i give you lots of details not sure you find it
Anyway i am pretty sure that the 1st entrance is the easiest one to find
That is so freaking cool bro. I explored but it was in the woods.

Amazing chilling stuff
Given that quartz vein in the ceiling of that cave right before the suicide crawl, you should really check out what's in that sand. Might be some really cool rocks...
Can you please describe what the caves smell like when you’re exploring, approximate temperature of cave and water you’re in? Do you worry about collapse? What steps do you take to mitigate it? Thx for letting us explore with you vicariously!
They smell like dirt and rock, the temperature is a constant 56 degrees all year round. Most of the caves are decently stable, but when you get to a unexplored section like where the cave collapsed onto me, I could tell it was very unstable, and then the inevitable happened. I tried to avoid touching the walls but just a little tap sent the wall crashing down.
Ya'll had me on the edge of my seat, then standing and pacing, OMG, ya'll got guts. Hooray to you guys!!!!
You guys are nuts..... I'm glad I can live vicariously through your videos. Vids are incredible scenery, right underneath our feet. Thanks guys.
Adventure means pushing the boundaries and each one of your videos never let down
"The likes are worth it."
I have literally zero empathy for people who die while “pushing boundaries” I’ll never mourn someone who died doing silly reckless shit for “fun”
@@MikeyD0 there are plenty of people that push boundaries in an educated and responsible way.
Then there are these guys that seem to be somewhat reckless, and without any real methodology. People like this are almost guaranteed to die "doing what they love" as opposed to the ones that take the time to train, educate themselves and use discipline to make it as safe as possible. They are the ones that usually "live while doing what they love"
. Pushing the boundaries also takes professionalism and being an expert at what you're doing. Otherwise you're just a like seeking TH-camr looking to ruin your family when something goes wrong.

Those are the sketchiest places in any cave. Sandstone blocks held with mud and wedging. Hardcore caving. Love it!
Thanks for the new upload lads! Just recently found your channel and im pretty sure Im close to watching all of your guys videos. Love your guys' convos and funny jokes while down in the caves. keep it up bois
I love caves. They are super freakin cool. No way I could ever do this belly crawl business. There are plenty of neato caves where the hardest part is just ducking your head down a little bit. Totally enjoyable.
Edit:
Thank goodness for these videos. I know for certain I do NOT ever want to do this. I feel pressure on my chest sitting here on my couch. That’s a NO from me dog.
Highly watchable and entertaining, not expecting a documentary, and no added background music, 10/10 for taking us on another of your caveing adventurers
Just discovered this channel! Am I the only one who has multiple moments of anxiety when I watch these two? Love your videos, my claustrophobia would never let me!
If you think this is bad you should check out a channel called caveman hikes. This video is literally nothing compared to the right spaces caveman hikes goes into it’s legitimately scary
@LoveReignsDown Always No you aren’t the only one anxious AF. I’m a new subscriber too and am enjoying their videos. I love their excitement and zest but dang, I get so tense when they are squeezing through tight spots. I know they are experienced and know what they are doing but accidents happen…right.
These kind of vids are the only reason I know what anxiety is... I could probably do it if it was life or death, but this wouldn't be fun for me. I do like watching other people do it tho lol
Nope. You're not the only one. Sometimes I have to stop the video and just breathe for a bit before coming back to it.

Watching from beneath my covers with my cat after work. My new de-stressing routine after everyone else is asleep. This one WAS a little stress inducing though with all the tight squeezes. 💕
Flash flood in this situation is like my worst nightmare 😳
when i have anxiety for no reason, i watch ur videos so i feel like my anxiety is warrented
Been watching yall since you only had a few hundred subs. Awesome to see how much its grown, congrats! Love watching the videos!
I love watching your videos! My anxiety goes crazy since I’m extremely claustrophobic, but I always watch until the end! You all keep up the great work, and stay safe out there! Have a great day!
I'm glad you guys didn't get hurt but the best deep caving stories all literally involve someone not making it out alive.
“Gly”: Alright guys, on this one you managed to raise my anxiety and that’s tough to do. The whole time you were in there I couldn’t help but think of potential rain events on the surface but I’m sure your keeping an eye on the forecast. You remind me so much of myself when I was your age, I miss my spelunking days, they were really good times.
The thought of rain filling that tunnel was in our minds the whole time while crawling!
totally agree.
I was looking at those walls, and thinking this whole thing, is all water made.
Any rush of water, and it would have been game-over.
So many areas where you can get stuck, and so many areas where there was no way to turn around.
Watching this is worse than having a cop drive up behind you after you have been speeding.
I need to go pet my dog, to get my heart rate down.
I don't know a thing about squeezing through narrow passages in a cave, but my unprofessional opinion says you two are taking unnecessary chances. DON'T DO THAT, please! I really don't want you guys to get hurt. On the other side... this was Hella fun! Thanx-)
that's what they live for on this channel. one of the last videos I watched was one where he went alone into a cave that was flooding and kept going. he could've drowned or got stuck and he was alone. It was mind-blowing. I love watching their videos but I don't want to see them get hurt or someone try and do what they did after watching.
Im curious about the safety measures you use if any. Do you let someone know which cave you're going in and when to expect you back? Do you have anything like a avalanche transceiver or low frequency radios in case of an emergency? A live Q and A would be awesome. thanks for the content!
I don't think any radio frequency would get out of that cave
@@XENON13 im pretty sure they make specific caving and mining radios using VLF . I know that miners have had through the earth communication for decades
@@timd9813 the antenna for vlf would be very big, probably wouldn't be able to get through a small cave with it. Miners create larger openings so they can use things like that
we let someone know where were going, and what time were coming out. We carry plenty of spare batteries and lights, and sometimes food and water
@@ActionAdventureTwins that wont help you tho if the whole cave floods with you in there kinda like that one you did alone

Just when I think I'm acclimating to cave videos, someone digs their way into a sand flooded bit.
I reckon even a blind Vole would have second thoughts about mapping these tunnels out! He'll be like 'fuck this! way too small for me!'

I like caving but a couple spots in this video is a little too much especially with the boulders that could fall if you move one rock. Stay safe and keep exploring what the rest of us can’t
Oh snap, cold water and squeezed landscape. Already feeling the nerves…
WOW, having debris falling around me would certain get my attention and I'd have to leave ASAP. Never know when a huge rock comes down after small rock fall... Thumbs Up!
It's so scary, I would never ever cross that water puddle inside the cave. U guys are tough. Keep up.
Dudes... How exciting i loved every minute... How cool are you, pushing to your new limits..
Have you ever thought of using RC cars to look ahead where it appears that it's gonna be a tight space to crawl through? I could guess some of the limitations such as having to carry one and so forth.
thats actually not a bad idea bro
Some of these caves can be miles. And 100s of yards of crawling. You’d be hard pressed to get an rc back in a lot of these types of tight spaces in one piece. But their are caves that start as tunnels you could explore from the outside that would let you know if you should even enter or not in the first place. That’d be cool.
small drone?
@@AP500yd Not a small drone for low ceilings but a remote controlled car if they even come with the cameras as the drones do. However a drone could possibly be used in a big room or a pit.
they could put it in the backpack

That crawl fish was chill with it ,that a second he put his hand by it I thought it would pinch him and you could hear his scream throughout the whole cave lol

It's funny because I suffer from really bad claustrophobia but at the same time I'm absolutely fascinated by people who explore caves and what they find so several times during the video I have to just look away or cover my eyes but I end up wanting to look
I’ve never had as much anxiety hearing the phrase, “But it’s so tight!”
Recently found a mine in California with water flowing out. Was much like a cave, and i got my feet and shoes wet. That was enough for me. What you guys do scares the crap out of me. However, mines are all man made and collapsing and can collapse at anytime. So the fear factor is much the same.
Very good video I'm always afraid when people go exploring they are excited what's up ahead and keep going forward. Some go way in too far and I always worry they won't have the stamina to come back safely. So glad both of you made it out alright. Blessings
