I heard a song not yet shown here on TH-cam by Dry Cleaning. Anyway, it was last night on 91.1 WREK in Atlanta (Georgia Tech radio). Damn. It's rare that I pull over while driving to write down an artist so I don't forget their name and then look them up the next day and listen to what little is available over and over again. Thank you for existing.
Saw them at the Great Western festival in Glasgow and we bought tickets for the next gigs as we were leaving the venue. This really doesn't do them justice but it's topical I suppose. #megxit
Peace & Love to all at/in Dry Cleaning. You are another individual dimension again. Part of the overall 'mass' that prefers to proffer the truth rather than peddle lies. Thank you. xxx
That is amazing! I fell in love in Megan, so incredibly pretty, tripped and fell into my life, fell into my life, it's kept the world gripped, it's just a surprised." Ha. Amazing. As a Brit. in America I love this!
@@guywatkins5590 unfortunately yeah.. They even said it in an interview. Had the same after really enjoying the music of the Blinders, then discovering their sixth form leftist politics. Cringe.
Great job, everybody. You somehow managed to not be on her every time she yelled "Whoop!" The only time she steps out of her cool, detached persona and you totally missed it. Kudos all around. Great performance by a great band, though. And easily my favorite song of 2019.
Alex Reid haha I came here to say the same thing. So frustrating. I imagine the person behind camera must not have known the song at the time. Or they just prefer drummers.
I've just read 'Delta 5' twice in the same thread! I followed Delta 5 back in the day, and saw the other bands you mentioned above. Dry Cleaning were born 40 years too late, but they are really quite good.
I’m not artsy enough to really get the spoken-word thing (I’m old) but the visuals and the outstanding music this band have going on are fantastic! It’ll probably grow on me.
'an instant yes' that's how I felt discovering this band
they my favorite band of the last few years... i cannot wait for their new LP
So you had an instant guess? 🇬🇧 MTHRFCKRS
I just found them yesterday, and I'm ecstatic. 💜
This sounds much better than studio version. Shout out to person that recorded and mixed it
yes, the sound is really tight for a live recording.
Its insanely tight .
I actually thought the same thing to myself
Only problem I have are the vocal are kind of buried. Drums sound amazing.
Vocals are somewhat lost though
love the four-piece aspect of this band. each part is clear and piercing.
So true!
Exactly! They're like superheros, each bringing their own unique power to the band
Yeah, this live version and the and studio version sound the same. Simple 4 piece and sounds like there is no over dubbing on the record.
Would you really call the vocals piercing? I think insipid suits much better

I just want this band to thrive after the restrictions lift. So Fucking cool. The pace, vocals and energy is a new, refreshing vibe.
And yet, it has a great, retro thing going on too.
I've just seen them in Turin: amazing
It's weird to hear someone describe weird nonsensical poetry read out monotonously over some hipster music as new and refreshing.

I dont feel that at all

Scratchcard Lanyard brought me here. Just discovered this band yesterday and can't stop playing their songs. mesmerizing!
Great song and nice touch having prince harry on drums
Lol on a song about Meghan Markel
Echoes of joy devision and the fall. I like these.
Absolutely. Joy Division - good to know that my generation's music still resonates ;-)
the true Southern Mark Smith
let's not forget the almighty Su

Thought the same thing.
This is my BIG discovery for 2022... such a great band. (I found Sleaford Mods in 2022 also... the year is starting well!)
Two great ones, mate.
I found these guys in 2020 when covid first hit. I'll be seeing them for a third time in July. So talented. I'm going to check out Sleaford Mods.
Im a yr behind u. Been listening pretty much non-stop for 3 days. Im enchanted.

smart enough to write it down but not smart enough to remember the words dry cleaning
@@pponcelet but smart enough to pull over. The name is generic enough that it's not super memorable unless you're acquainted with the band

the great british music is coming back, we miss it!
Brilliant. The best band of 2019 by a mile.
I just watched this. I was never attracted to punk rock. But this has got something special. This sounds great. Like this band. :)

WOW! 🤯 how is this sounding so better than the recording . Insane!
yeah it's almost Krautrock
Wow. Great guitar playing.
Saw this band 2 years ago at The Shacklewell Arms in London. Good they are getting some recognition. It all gels so well.
i've watched this too many times
oh well, time to watch it again

Think I'm falling in love. So good to see a band with bollocks; some special stuff happening here.
just love the guitar on this and other songs by this band
Agreed. Wish I could get it minus the vocals
@@guywatkins5590 haha yes. When I found out the song is about meghan markle being wonderful and us being racist, I somewhat went off them entirely
