Thanks Jar. I've always been intimated working away from a Texas rig. More informative videos is always good to see because I just don't know how to do different types of setups.
I’ll do more of this kind of stuff in the future even if they aren’t the most popular videos. I remember when I first started watching this kind of content, I always wanted to learn something. Thanks Steve
I really like your instructional videos over the last few months. Those pool tests and now some of the back to the basic stuff. I would keep that going.
Use to fish all up and down St Malo back in the 90’s but never caught like you do😂 , but always had fun. Always look forward to your entertaining videos and send them to my fishing buddies. Have fun and be safe! Thanks
How deep of water are you fishing? We’d like to hit the 8 to 12 foot range in the wintertime cold water. Those look like some great little waterways that your maneuvering through. My triton may be a little bit too much draft or beam, but we get back through some skinny spots and catch some fish too. Enjoy your videos.
I was in 4-8 ft in this one. You could easily handle the bayou I was in, but the thing to watch is actually getting there. I cross some pretty skinny water getting back to that particular area. When the water is high, most boats could get there, but when it’s low tide or we’ve had some north and west wind, could get a bit dicey.
My name is Jared so my nickname has been Jar since I was a kid. I think my oldest brother started calling me “Jar Head” and it just stuck. Everybody that knows me well just calls me Jar
@@Jar_Fishing that great! I thought you may have been a Marine! I enjoy watching your videos! I keep my boat on a bunk in Shell Beach on Alluvial Key. I love to fish & fish often either my good friend AJ. He also has a youtube called Louisiana Produce fishermen. Do you keep your boat down there or haul it around?
@@dennispilotte7286 I keep my boat in Baton Rouge. Half the time I can’t make my mind up where I want to go by the time I get to Nola lol. Been watching AJ’s channel for a while. He’s a heck of a jig fisherman. Now that you mention it, I’ve seen you on there many times. Didn’t realize you were that Dennis. Love watching yall.
One of the best instructional channels on TH-cam!
@@markernst2129 thanks Mark!

With a jig head and soft plastics, the only limitation is how far your imagination carries. Catches damn near everything. Great vid brother
