I keep hearing about how I should look at online maps and pinpoint areas of where fishes would most likely ambush. I have not been very good at it even after repeated tries.
I was watching your storied explanation here and was so excited as I FINALLY understood what happens with the points, depths, and tides.
I realized that I got what was being explained as I looked at other areas on the the map (as you were teaching) to try to challenge myself to guess the "hot spots". I then heard you say in your video that the areas I had "guess picked" could possibly be productive. I was so happy with myself for understanding not only how to read the territory but also I was SO thrilled that someone (meaning you, Marshman) finally made this clear and simple enough for me to comprehend.
Thank you for this video that shows how to use the tools around us available to catch more fish. I absolutely will use this before each time I go out.
    Thanks!

Great video fish several of those spots on charters that I do, just be careful on low tide lots of pipelines/submerged debris.

Todd, I love all the information and knowledge that you put in all of your videos, great job of this one as well! One question, what is your favorite set up, rod, reel and line for throwing jigs and paddle tails for trout and reds? I’m shopping for a new jig fishing out fit. Thanks

awesome, thanks for the info. I"ve looked at maps before, but never really knew what to look for. Question: what is your go to plastic bait?

There are lots of great brands out there, but more times than not, I find myself fishing those from the Louisiana companies -- Matrix Shad, Egret and H&H. I like subtle colors in clean water and black or purple in water with some stain. Good luck!
