And sigh. It’s Victober! This is my month. These are my people. Thanks for taking the time to do this everyone and Kate for putting it all together xx

  • @mitzireadsandwrites

HAPPY VICTOBER!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts. This is such a great way to kick off our celebration!

  • @elizabethbrink3761

Thank you to everyone who participated! This is absolutely fantastic! I feel so enriched and encouraged to think even more deeply and broadly about why I love Vic Lit!

  • @nnjack9931

The best thing about Victober is listening to what other people love and what others read. ❤

  • @christinafielder3641

The rigidity of class & gender structures, as well as the ever looming presence of death, create an intensity of drama that our more egalitarian age & medical advances would make implausible.

  • @KDbooks

I can’t believe I was NOT invited to this 😭

  • @fortheloveofclassics03

Happy Victober, everyone! Thank you so much for this wonderful video, Kate. ❤️ Loved getting to be a small part of it and loved even more hearing everyone else’s thoughts. Happy reading to all!

  • @Marta-pl297

What a wonderful way to start Victober: listening to fellow readers talk about their love for Victorian literature! It fills my heart with joy. I'm honoured to be part of the video (despite my camera quality!) Thank you Kate!

  • @nat4465

    Thank you. 😊

  • @josmith5992

I always look forward to these collaborative videos and the enthusiasm and affection people have for Victorian literature. Two things, one, all the people who don’t have booktube channels should have them, I’d definitely watch them, and two, does anyone else think that Jane Eyre and North and South might be the favorite Victorian reads? 😉

  • @MilenaReads

Thank you for including me, Kate! Can’t wait to see the other clips.

  • @michaelmccarty

Thank you, Kate (and everyone who participated) -- what an amazing video! I am a first-time Victober participant. 🙂 Happy Victober!

  • @brianhaas1154

Mitzi isn't messing around at all. Every single book written in the Victorian Era 🔥🔥🔥.

  • @StephaniePatterson-jb5it

I had a huge smile on my face duing this whole thing. I have some readers in my real life, but except for a few people I've turned into Trollope fans, they don't read Victorian novels. It was great to get the sense, however briefly, that the whole world reads Victorian lit.

  • @goodstrongwords

Wonderful to participate in and watch, as ever! Thank you so much for doing this again Kate 🥰

Wonderful kickoff video for Victober! Thank you so much to Kate and everyone who put their thoughts together about why they love Victorian literature. Inspiring!

  • @nnjack9931

I ❤ the poetical writing of Victorian literature. You can tell that these writers read and/ or wrote poetry because of the style.

  • @32mybelle

Wow! This is amazing! Thanks, Kate! I loved hearing everybody's thoughts on why they love Victorian literature. I love it because of its beautiful use of language and universal themes in literature.

  • @ireneplasencia3916

Happy Victober everyone! Thank you Kate and everyone for putting this together.

  • @amyofhearthridge
