  • Update from iFootage:
    "As you may have seen from our socials - we have regrettably had to increase the price of the Nano as a result of materials and components also increasing in price. The updated prices are as follows:
    iFootage Shark Slider Nano Standard: $559 USD
    iFootage Shark Slider Nano Bundle: $669 USD
    These changes will take place from April 14th 2021 - with any orders placed until that point unaffected."
    In this review, we are going to have a look at iFootage's latest motorised slider, Shark Slider Nano. I'll tell you what are the things I like (and really like!) about this slider, and a few things that I don't like about this slider.

    Sorry about the really long review. I was originally aiming to create a 15 minutes long review but somehow it ends up being a 36 minute long review! (and i still skipped over a lot of features). Anyway, what do you guys think about this Shark Slider Nano? would you want one for yourself?

      I prefer my Zeapon Micro 2 slider, as it can easily handle my 4.1kg rig in any position.

      I *really* want this product. But but it costs $$$ so... I bought the Zecti slider to test to what extent I might get something out of using a slider. Depending on my experiences I might go for the Ifootage Shark Slider Nano some time later this year.

    Great review Richard. For a long time now I've been learning a great deal from your channel. I just picked up the slider. Great review you made here. My question is this. Can I tilt the head while it is sliding and panning. I've reached out to ifootage support several times over that last 2 weeks and they are absent. Please let me know.

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean manually tilt it when the slider is moving? I was not told you can or can't, but I assume if you do it gently it should be ok?

    Richard, I ust got my slider but can't figure this out. Is it possible to shoot an astrophotography timelapse? 20 second exposure, 1 second interval and so forth. Everything I've tried the slider moves during the shot?

    Thanks for creating this video. How loud is the motor in db? I am looking for a good motorised slider. I am looking for all 3 features in one slider. It should be as quiet as possible, can carry at least 5kg weight and I can use vertically. Any suggestions please?

    Do you know if this slider works with the Canon M50. On their website it is not shown in the compatability list.

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The slider works with any camera that doesn't exceed its payload limit. The only thing that may not work is the timelapse and stop motion feature that the slider may not be able to trigger the camera shutter.

    Thanks fo this comprehensive review! Have you tried using the slider without the motor? Some motorised sliders don't let you use them manually, because the gear is locked to the motor, but this iFootage slider obviously lets you move it around. Is it smooth to use manually?

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi Colin, thank you! I believe you shouldn't do that with this slider too even though you could physically do that when you turned it off completely. No idea whether you would cost any damage if you do that, but in terms of is it smooth? i say it is OK, but it's definitely not a manual slider kind of smooth/has that fluid feel.
