I loved the part where Carrol took Henry for a spin. I was thinking is he laughing or crying. Well acted.
The scene was more than gold. Like, I was sitting in the cinema and oh boy do I felt the same for Henry.

Except it was total bullshit, historically inaccurate, left out key elements in the timeline. Added a bunch of scenes that never happened. Just tell the truth, it's exciting enough! What crap.

Just want to toss in here that Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles were 2 pure bad asses and that same attitude has continued today with the Shelby Mustangs.
Saw this opening day in IMAX and bought it on Blu-Ray 2nd day it was out.
Damon, Bale and Bernthal had to be good. It´s actually even better than expected

Great movie, filmed a scene at my workplace, and the movie crew were real pros dressing the sets & locations, & by coincidence I had worked in Whittier during the last year of Carroll's Dodge programs.(DakotaV8) any color you like as long as it was Red or White..
They really tried to capture the essence of the 60's in the movie, they did! , in my opinion, as well as the excitement of motosports.
I have always wanted an AC cobra,when I was a child my stepfather told me the story in the early 60s the we’re testing the cobras on the brand new M 1 motorway they clocked 186mph no speed limits then,questions were raised in parliament and later the 70 mph speed limit was brought in,car enthusiasts were dismayed at this new rule
I saw this movie on the airplane and it was awesome
Hope this movie motivates the new generation of motorsport enthusiasts. If enough funding is there, Shelby can go for hypercar project and enter LeMans hypercar series. Ferrari already won the GT AM and GT PRO series for 2021 LeMans after a very long time, they will race a hypercar probably 2023. The project is ongoing.

My issue with the office set. The sofa that Shelby is sitting on the waiting room was designed by Charles and Ray Eames, and not put into production until 1984 by Vitra of Germany.

Carroll the alluminum custom built 427 only had 485 dan gurney said they were at 3000 pounds an a 5 speed gear box thats stiill a lot of horse power...aerodynamic was the big key....but reliability is what one the race....a solid tested ford race block...
Get the right engine built by the right people, and you'll make history.
One must be an American to see Ford as the underdog in this story.

The movie should have been called "Laman's" the Ken Miles story... BECAUSE the movie focused on the battle between Shelby and Ken beating Ford really. The acting was great and they had a great story but editing is gone these days...

when you’ve got the might and unlimited budget of Ford behind you then you’re not the underdog.

Carroll turned down Enzo's invitation to drive for Ferrari. Too many good men died driving for him. Just another pompous Italian.
Too many good drivers actually died driving his ferraris for him or wanted to drive his ferrari on the track for him to win?

The film is a typical a Hollywood con job. The two worst lies are that they gave Ken a a personality the opposite of the truth. Ken was known for his sardonic sense of humour and quote had a ‘reputation for courtesy on the track’. The other is that it was Shelby’s idea for the three car finish..
The idea for the 3 car finish came down from Ford. I have much higher placed individuals to get information from then you do.
Lol they are saying that, but they butchered the ford gt, in 06, they could have a tribute gt to ken miles, but too late now
Carroll Shelby is a huge POS for telling Ken to slow down. That was his race and triple crown to win. I'm sure Ken's untimely death haunted him for the rest of his life

@@king96300 your point being? I would have been happy to have been fired by Ford after watching my driver win the triple crown of racing. Shelby and miles could have called their own shots in racing after that win!
I am only going to say what was said in the movie and I am not sure it's what actually happened. But Shelby said to Miles, it's your race, you make that decision, if it were me I would never slow down, I won't give a fuck about their photograph. Let's say they fire me, no problem I will go work for another company and beat Ford like every year!
Caroll Shelby had no choice... he gave the choice to Miles.
@@sauravallen in the movie he gave the choice, but irl Carrol forced him and also Carrol would also push him to do riskier stuff. some believe Kens death was carrolls fault
I don’t know I don’t think he would not want any devil worshiper acting as Ken miles I mean Christian Bale did thank Satan for a role on the golden globes
