The most annoying part of fragcom is people projecting their mental faculties onto the brands and thinking they're telling you anything but that their fragrances "smell good, here's why". No brand but axe is comparing themselves to a designer or other niche or anything. They're not trying to convince you or any other 12 year old that you "need this to smell good, all that other "niche" is bullshit this is the real deal here". That's you listening to others opinions and/or your own thoughts and applying that to the brand as if they said it. That's the struggle I have with people that aren't truly passionate about fragrance making content about it, you're judging off the hubris you yourself gave the brand and not what you smell. It almost seems inevitable that videos like this get made because there's a price point in perfumery where you have to be able appreciate it as an art to appreciate it at all, and some people just want to smell good. It's the same thing with clothing. Gotta be careful which noses you trust and recognize when someone's just spinning the circle of influence around as they tell you more about the fragrances they got from someone else's top 10.
