@Paul Exactly! Some people said that the demand of Aventus is too high so Creed need to push it out to the market before let it aging properly and long enough in the lab. And I conpletely agree with that.
But what I wanna say is Creed also fail us because of that, customers need to get the complete dna when they reviece a botttle right? The scent need to be properly before put it the bottle for us. So right now I'm just spray a few shots after bought a new Aventus bottle then let it sit for At Least 6 months to a year, because if you use it immediately it just too fruity, meanwhile I'll use old bottle and CDNIM limited parfum, this combination will get about 90% of exact smoky pineapple I want.

p.s. you can look up on the internet if you want the information is free. all fragrances have a shelf life typically between 3-5 years, depending on proper storage. so in fact, quite the opposite is true. i am not going to respond to the hate i get from this comment :) have a nice day!

NGL the juice inside is very high quality. It's smooth, very well blended and natural smelling. No harsh opening and synthetic like CDNI. But the performance is very disappointing. It's not long lasting. 2-3 hour and it's gone. While CDNI performs like a beast every single time!! It's a shame that Aventus is not what is used to be anymore. Newer batches just not worth it, And older batches just way too overpriced at this point. No point in buying Aventus anymore. There's a lot of Aventus alternatives out there that you can buy. Much respect for your take, and I agree pretty much across the board. I have CDNIM and tested it alongside a sample of Aventus and I will say, the opening is much higher quality for the Aventus. It's not even close, to my nose at least. Aventus is natural and you don't get blasted with alcohol/synthetic lemon whatsoever. I mean, it has to be when you look at the price difference. It's gotta excel somewhere, right? But, none of that matters because the drydown of CDNIM is basically 95% of Aventus at less than a fraction of the cost... so yeah, i'm right there with you.

@@TranceForLyfe "You get what you pay for" is an old adage that people deploy to make themselves feel better after they've been ripped off by what they thought was a bargain. Yes, price is somewhat correlated with quality, but only minimally so. There are all kinds of prices and deals out there, and you can just as easily be ripped off by something *over*priced. Proof of this is evidenced by the fact that you so often see the exact same item (i.e., same brand and model) sold at wildly different prices, depending upon the venue in which it is sold.
More important than price is *value,* and marketers are VERY good at manipulating our perception of value. Yes, you often do have to pay more to get something of quality, but the correlation between price and quality is WAY too weak to serve as a guide. Your "guide" should be your product research (reviews, reputation, sampling, etc.), with price playing only a minor role in your assessment.
As for Creed, I've sampled their fragrances, and while I do perceive the quality, at several hundred dollars a pop, I find the *value* lacking. But some may feel that small increments in quality are worth disproportionately large prices. Or perhaps they just wanna feel that they've got "the best." If that's you, then Creed is right up your alley.

They're basically giving us half measures, but charging full price. I've got a few clones, the best one by far in my opinion is Emperor by Parfums Vintage. It's made with high levels of naturals like Aventus, but it lasts all day like Aventus used to before they started conning their loyal customers. Emperor is quite expensive, but still well under half the price of Aventus, but you only need a third of the sprays.

Working off microperfume samples here so who knows but the first question I ask is can I stand smelling this for 8 hours and the second question does it even last 8 hours? Creed meets the first challenge, Intense Man smells too much like margaritas to me it instantly comes off cheap, aventus tones it down with a more smooth creaminess. Long story short, I ended buying a 100ml of Savauge Elixir, a completely different fragrance but one of the few I loved more than 20 minutes. If I am going to spend the $208 I spent on Savauge Elixir I better love it 8 hours after spraying it and I don't want to ask how many times I have to respray a fragrance that is $300 for 100ml. Smelling the dry downs of both as I finish typing this the Aventus is so damn weak and that to me is shameful for the price point. I know there is a $300 fragrance I love, the winter me, Dolce Gabanna Velvet Incenso. While I was debating spending the money I ran into the Spicebomb line and was blown away by the price difference and the stronger affinity to winter.

Ultimately, the value with Creed fragrances just isn't there. Even at discounter prices, Creeds are simply poor value. You get very synthetic scents that have poor longevity and/or projection. Every year, their quality and performance goes down. Creed managed to turn in their piss poor quality control (batch variation) into a "selling point" It's unfortunate because I like Aventus, Royal Oud, and MI. But they just suck in value.
What is doing Creed in is the fact that companies can copy their scents to a near-identical level at substantially cheaper costs. When companies are making Creed scents that are are better than what they currently make, they have a problem.

So now that I don't even get the "original" smell and performance of AVENTUS, plus the fact that I will be getting only 100ml instead of 120 for the price, (and as if they wanted to add more salt to our injuries, we learnt that they're even hiking their prices! @@JubbArts If you want the very best, get the Limited Edition, preferably the older one that says Eau de Parfum on the bottle.

    1. Never pay retail for Creed even tho it is one of the best natural smelling fragrances house out there
    2. Aventus came out in 2010 that mean clones had YEARS to perfect their clones to mirror Aventus
    3. In the day of technology and Facebook you can find older batches of Creed for a good price and can find new batches online for cheaper than retail
    4. I will never get a clone of Aventus definitely if I smelled the original first I don’t want to smell a clone

the „harsh opening“ is not there in the edp it was in the edt only imo.

I see your point and still I do not want to support a copy 🤔 From what I have read it seems like Aventus do not contain either phatalates or parabens 🤓 And unless if Creed is not being truthful prima quality ingredients should matter as well 😮😊

I see your point but for me I'd rather go for the creed for the quality as with anything like that whether it's creed, Parfums de marly etc

Very much enjoyed the review! Parfums Vintage had some great offerings. Pineapple Vintage Intense is fantastic! The pineapple is dialed up to 10 and is very hyper-realistic/juicy. The Emporer is a very balanced alternative. Very good quality.
