- This video explains the apron mechanism mounted over the carriage in a lathe machine. This mechanism is involved in the feed and cross-feed motion in a lathe. We also describe how power feed or automatic feed works, through simulations and animation of a 3 dimensional model in SolidWorks 2015.
You made it really simple to understand. It was really difficult to imagine by just reading book. Thank you.
Happy to help :)
Ur videos are super clean and easy to understand 👏
You explained everything very well...Now it became easy to understand....
thnkss:)
Happy to help :)
U provide the best annimated videoes ....plz do upload more such videoes
That was nice.Preciesly explained in just 2 minutes!!! :3 Big hand for the maker..... (y)
Very well explained with the help of CAD. Thanks.
Glad you liked it.
In just 2 minutes u cleared all the doubts.
Keep going .ur channel will gain million of subscribers
Superb presentation.
Thank you very much.
Well explained ... Keep doing .. it helps lot to anyone... Thanku ..
Solved a problem ... thank you for this video!
Happy to help :)
really nice animation.quite very useful
Thank you very much. Any other topic you'd like to see animated like this, please do comment.
Good channel... Please continue with the channel
thanks you sir this video's helps me alot.....😁
Good work 👍👍
very nice
Sir please provide video for lathe apron, lead screw and feed rod mechanisms
Sai Rockz i need this i need to know how to switch
Nice vedio bhai...
Good work mate! Keep on Thanks.
thank you sir
I have difficulties in understanding the term "feed" in lathe machine. Please do a video giving me a clear idea
Feed is synonymous with "giving". We give a cutting edge into a work at a certain rate to cut material from the work. This is feeding. Giving the tool into the work. Feeding is also giving motion at a certain amount. Cross feed is moving something cross dimensionally. Longitudinal feed is moving the apron, for example, lengthwise the lathe. So, giving a tool edge, drill bit or motion to execute the work is feeding. If you drill a hole very fast, it means the feed was fast. If the drill spindle rotates fast, it has nothing to do with the feed. Feed is the power of your hand pushing the hand drill into the work. Or the speed at which the drill bit penetrates into the work, for example woodpiece.
Hey, you're a woman into science? Nice.
Thank you. I am a man into translation.
really helpful
awesome sir
I have difficulty in tumbler gear mechanism can you explain with video
Thank you so much
Horizontal motion of tool is done by which mechanism?
Within Apron Mechanism, Motor > Feed Rod > Worm > Gear > Intermediate Gear > Feed Handle Gear
Bro ur great 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Glad it was helpful :)
thank you bro
Worm gets the power from feed rod or lead screw ??
Worm gets power from Feed Rod.
Lead screw is used for Thread-cutting only. Watch my video on Thread cutting to know function of leadscrew: th-cam.com/video/kfG92IP_iK8/w-d-xo.html
I've worked on a lathe where the feed rod was an hexagon.
Wow.. Now that's something new. I guess the worm would have a hexagonal hole to mesh with the feed rod, no need of a keyway.
can u give the solid works file for this (or catia)
bro, what is the software used by you?
D D He use. Solid works software by made autodesck company..
And its a 3'D parametric software
We can also do similution of each object... 😇.. Its a great. 👌👍👍👍👍
Thanks brother...Nd add half nut mechanism
I hope this one will help : th-cam.com/video/kfG92IP_iK8/w-d-xo.html
Split Nut that I mentioned is same as half nut.
But why would that work move??
Best one
Thanks a lot, bro..
easy to under stand
Thank you very much. :)
