that moment when the flag guy guides that Vulture out of its docking bay and it takes its first few steps into the center of the hangar always got me pumped up! like yeah lets kick some butt! ....then i realize how the intro scene pans out for that lance...
That last part of the song when it turns somber and the surviving mechs just casually stride past the wreck of the Mad Dog always got to me. Very chilling.
@@KSI_Revelations the mad dog and vulture are the same mech. Vulture is a code name the inner sphere gave it much Like NATO reporting names for Russian fighters or the nicknames the US gave to Japanese Aircraft in WW2

The composer did a phenomenal job creating an image of the mechs increasing speed with the percussion at 1:30 An image of the metallic rattling and bone shaking *thumping* of the mechs feet comes into my mind, the adrenaline increasing with the strings as they run out into battle against a larger force.
I think this will forever serve as my personal “main theme for Mechwarrior/Battletech”. The intro is the perfect summary of the setting, by far; and the music is astounding in how its fun while simultaneously drawing out deeper emotions from what we’re witnessing. Phenomenal. Perfect. _Legendary._

I was always impressed with how well-made the intro was.
Yeah, that opening sequence was my favorite of all of the Mechwarrior game intro's.

In Mechwarrior 4 was actually the Vulture variant not the Mad Dog.
