      Glad you found it helpful! You can just treat the lines bodice as one piece when you add the sleeve, easy Peasy. 😊 ~J

    Thank you for your helpful video! I have many Love Notions patterns, but wasn't interested in the Saltwhistle until I saw your versions. Now I have the pattern and want to sew it asap. If I were to line the bodice, but make the sleeveless version of the dress, could I use the same method (as used for the neckline) for the armsyces -- sew together, understitch, etc?

      So glad it was helpful. Maybe if lining the sleeveless version, you'd want to try the burrito method for a super clean finish. ~K

    How did u do the casing for elastic?

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a guess but asked Katie how she did it. Will let ya know once I hear back! ~J

    • @LoveNotions

      Okay, from Katie: "I just did it just like the instructions, treating the lined bodice as one"

      @LoveNotions thank you. I had raw edges from the skirt panel so I tucked them between the bodice and lining and sewed them together. Then just stitched the elastic on the inside seam. Not the best but it worked. I'm just learning how to make dresses without raw edges. I don't have a serger.

      There are many different ways to do it! Similarly to what you did, you could also sew the casing about an inch from the hem of the bodice, then proceed like you did, leaving an opening, insert your elastic into that and then close. That might give you a slightly cleaner finish if you don't want the elastic exposed on the inside. Does that make sense? ~J

    I need to know how you added the sleeves.

    • @LoveNotions

      The lining and bodice is treated as one piece, so the sleeves are added as normal. Easy peasy! ~J

    You are far away from the audio, hard to hear you even with the volume turned up all the way.
