    how did you get the center speaker in? on mine, its too wide and doesn't fit between the studs. it looks like you took out one of the studs to get it to fit. is that right?

    • @CollingFilms
      @CollingFilms 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Anyone watching this and curious as well, we just cut out a part of the 2x4 to make it fit and braced it underneath with another piece. Not a load bearing wall so figured structurally it was okay. Had a contractor look first though

    Aren’t those speakers too high?

    I'm digging all these Klipsch install videos! Super pleased with my Klipsch set-up which includes the same center, and FRH and FLH speakers in the video. I went with the RP-280F's for the regular FR and FL. For the rears I went with the 5800-C II. Since I'm a bass-head I'm running a pair of R-115SW's and a R-112SW. All being powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-72.

    Why I never see how they installed the speaker wires in the walls

    • @christopherjohnson8770
      @christopherjohnson8770 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most of the time the wire is preinstalled when the home is built

    Nice! Ive mounted 9 of these in my home theater recently. Super easy and a nice clean look. Unfortunately i had to cut into a stud to do the center speaker so that part was a little more annoying.

    I personally never use a drill to screw in-wall speakers. I always hand tighten them. Using a drill you can over tighten the screws and break a plastic bracket very easily. Great Job though.

    Do you recommend in wall rear surround speakers, or in ceiling rear surround?

    • @bryanmiller6046

      Jon Zylka I put one in the four walls, one in the middle of the ceiling, one on the left and right of the screen

    Do you guys think the in walls are just as effective as the tower speakers?

    • @axeljehovanymendoza
      @axeljehovanymendoza 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No when you use in wall speakers you gain a very clean look but you loose out on sound quality. Some in wall speaker companies make in wall boxes to minimize the loss in quality.

    You guys aren't installing those in wall speakers as designed. your'e making it harder than it should be. The detachable bezel is installed by itself first and THEN the speaker slips easily into the bezel. Klipsch has an good 2 minute video showing you how to do it here on their TH-cam channel. Enjoy watching other custom integrators take pride in their job, keep up the good work!

      we have made several videos on the topic. We cant show it every video, but its pretty straightforward. Practice helps too

    I notice you wired each speaker individually. How would you wire a 5.1 surround back to a an amp with zones? Would it be 16/4 & 16/2 to each R/L speakers and a 1 16/2 to the center speaker? Thank you!

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No send it. Speakers loosen up on their own. Redo audio calibration after a couple weeks if you like. Its not always necessary

    What’s your opinion on inwall Speakers vs box speakers and what would you rather have

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In walls do not match the sound of an enclosed box design. They do serve a very convenient purpose of having a hidden system that still sounds amazing. This may be important if space is a concern

    Looking to move to North Dallas and the next year. Will definitely be connecting with you guys. Can the in wall speakers be angled? Like the center channel angled downward and the sides toed in?

    Nice install, How do these 160's compare to similar priced book shelf speakers?

    • @NMLNetwork
      @NMLNetwork 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a 5.1 with a good sub they compair fine. I guess it depends what you are hooking it up to. Like if you are going to listen to music through a good source and a good amp a similar priced bookshelf with the same build quality but bookshelves would probably blow these away.

    Loving the vids. Inwalls look beautiful. Do you get asked to create back boxes for in walls. Is it worth it on your opinion.

      As nice as the Klipsch THX line is, I was wary of all the open-baffle designs. I instead chose the Definitive Technologies UIW RLS II for the front stage (all vertical orientation), an acoustic-transparent screen on top of the center and Def Tech UIW RSS II for the rear surrounds with Def Tech DI 6.5R for Atmos height channels with a pair of SVS PB2000 subs in opposite corners of the room. Zach just dropped them off and I have more room prep steps ahead so it will be a while before I get to audition them, but I'm optimistic with my choices. Dreamedia's prices can't be beat and I love this video content!

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some in walls actually offer this as an option. The episodes we sell offer them on the atmos and the wall plate speakers. It helps isolate the speaker and not let sound travel to the room behind the speaker.

    How powerful are those front left and right speakers . Can they handle the same as floor standing speakers ?

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Handle? You can feed speakers tons of power if you have the crossovers right. the high wattage number is just for peaks iike explosions. unless you are watching a movie that is one long explosion, you will be fine
