I have these throughout my home. Not every bulb but about half of them is enough to light the house in a power outage. I've been doing alot of electrical Upgrades and when I turn off the breaker it's nice to know they work but also makes finishing the job super easy. I also have them on my porch light too and when the power went out once I had a neighbor come over and ask me if my power was out. I was the only light on the street that was on. So that's cool.

Wow hey Jeff thanks for this video. We just received our first order of these yesterday and I gotta say I'm impressed. These work exactly as advertised and that's nice because we dove in and bought an 8-bulb set from BrightLiving - 4 each of the Soft Whites and Daylights. Came with 4 of the plug squares and 8 of the screw caps. Took a bulb and the instructions to work to mess with and showed coworkers the lamp trick and the carry-around/hanging bulb. Probably sold a couple for the company last night, haha. They were as tripped as Wife and I were. LOL and like you, the lamp I had was a smaller one and the bulb rose glaringly over the shade, haha. Prolly best to get a big set like 8-10 to keep in one place as charged standby's for the ones being used in the lamp(s).
    Again, thanks for the review.

Great idea. It makes your neighbors wonder why you still have lights on during a power outage. Use one as an emergency porch light. This brand seems to be short on battery life. Some others are dimmable and have remotes.

Hi, Jeff...This is actually a pretty cool product. Just the other night, my lights went out, and I just lit a few candles and used my laptop (with it battery) until the lights came back on about a half an hour later. These would be perfect for getting through what is usually just a brief power outage. I also like the fact that you can use them with your lamps, just as regular bulbs...Thanks for the review, my friend. By the way, FYI...Keep your old phone when you upgrade. You can keep the old phone charged and you always have a very bright flashlight when you need one, plus the light lasts for a good while on a full charge.

I was planning on buying a few but changed my mind since you have to take out the bulb for it to work or use the adapter. 2 hour usage isn't long enough. What I've been using are those General Electric brand motion detector lights, that can be set to constant on or movement alone. I used them in my RV in the desert and they stay on forever.

  • @martyspence8590
    @martyspence8590 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

I use these bulbs and wouldn’t be without them! I call them my “magic bulbs”. I first saw them (or a similar brand on Tv) so I decided to get me some. I put them in my two table lamps in the den and turn lamps on all day and use normally. This keeps them charged up. Takes about 8 hours to charge. One time our town had a terrible rain storm, lightning, wind and rain. We lost power in the city for almost 5 hours. All my neighbors lights and street lights went out! But mine stayed ON! I bought two more boxes (4 in a box) and gave two to each my daughters. They didn’t believe me that they would work. But next storm when we lost power their lights stayed on. I put bulbs in my bedroom night lamps. But you have to use the lamps so bulbs stay charged. I can’t say enough about these bulbs and won’t be with out them. I’ve given bulbs to my neighbors. I told my cousin about them who lives in Florida. She bought them and said during their last bout with hurricane they weren’t left in dark, the magic bulbs saved them from darkness! Everyone get them!!

Thank you for this review. I bought two of these from Amazon. The instructions were very confusing and I almost gave up and then lo and behold. I saw your video unboxing. Excellent the instructions really don’t tell you what the little plug thing is for so when I saw your video, it was very helpful. I think this will be helpful but you won’t know unless you test it out like you did or in the middle of a emergency and it’s too late then to see how long the light will power up.I am hoping that I can test it out as well prior to an emergency

Jeff you don't need the plug if you're keeping the lamp in the same location, it will work plugged into the wall socket as long as there's no power. It's so you can can "trick" a lamp into thinking it's plugged in so you can take it to another room like the bathroom or kitchen and set it on any surface even if there's no outlet nearby.

    • @Jeffreviews4u

I'm late to the party but I have a similar bulb with a backup. They are amazing. They have a switch on the side instead of the little adapters. I use them in several overhead lights. Bath room, hallway living room. So if power goes out still have some lights through the house. No problem with them turning back on when I switch them off as some people have complained about.

And another Great review ! I think they figure 1 adapter piece because you would use both bulbs in a main living space area and the lamp would most likely require 2 bulbs . You would use one of these bulbs with a regular bulb because your wife would lose her mind with 2 different types of bulbs hahaha That adapter is used to complete the circuit to lite the bulb it says you can actually touch both prongs of the plug on your lamp with a wet paper towel you can make jumpers a piece of wire a couple inches long with alligator clips on each end or just use the wire anyway ...Hows that Pillow working out for you? still comfortable? let us know when there back in stock keep up the excellent work

I just bought two sets..each set has 6 bulbs for $29.00 + $3.50 for S&H from HSN home shopping network. I got a 1 set of 6 bright bulbs and a 1 set of 6 softer light bulbs. It's odd because I don't normally watch the shopping channels for fear of buying til I'm broke..lol..but true. I live in Florida and don't need to tell you why we need this so bad. I couldn't be happier with them, if we go through a hurricane and the lights are off for days..we're all set..I was channel surfing and happen to see them. I couldn't be happier with them.
I did notice they are from different manufacturers..the one's I got have a Smart chip in them that can detect a power outage as soon as it happens and activates the bulbs battery..it can also tell the difference between a power outage and if you turn your light switch off or unplug it..It also has a dimmer switch...perhaps it's only in the bright or daylight bulbs...I haven't opened the other package so I don't know yet. I was amazed they arrives in three days.
Thank you for the review? I was looking to see if I was charging them properly and found you. Definitely a new subscriber..

Hi I love your videos, I live in California and the city is always doing maintenance shutting off our Electric, I hate sitting in the dark. These Light bulbs are Great!!! I mean, they lit up my house like the electric never went off. They will only last 3 hours each fully charged. But I put one in every room of my house. Bathroom, living lamps, kitchen, Bedroom, add the charged laptop for watching a few movies, what lights are off. They work great. The soft light bulbs in the house, day outside or garage, front door. Hope this comment helpful. Do you know of another way to watch movies without electricity?

Loop an elastic around the plug adaptor and hook other side to the lamp cord or glue a small tab of Velcro to loop around the cord

Just got 4 bulbs with 4 plugs included. Think they will really help just to be able to function with everything goes dark for a while. Still not clear on really what the purpose of the plugs are as it seems you don't need them if the bulbs are charged already. Perhaps to keep them on for a while if they are not recharged, not sure.. Anyway, think they are a good deal to help out for a while.

My thought is if you have the bulb in a lamp and you want to have light in another room you can carry the lamp with the little plug attached. That way it will stay lit. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

OR, get a used UPS for next to nothing and hook it to a new deep cell batteries. people just throw these out after a couple years ,when the battery dies. The stock size batteries are cheap on line. With the correct Gage size wire and a fuse ,you can hook it to a bigger battery, so it will run a LONG time. Even add a solar panel. These USED ups are everyplace [ like the dump/ side of road/ second hand shops], and are handy to have around. Throw a handle on it and you have some portable power. Ones you find free or cheap are usually about 100-300 watts. that will run LED bulbs a long time with just the regular battery.

👉 I will like to add to your demonstration of the Rechargeable 💡 Bulbs.
The 💡 Bulb can be screwed into your house / wall socket also and it works really well and is always kept changing once used as a regular light 💡 Bulb. If power goes while the 💡 Bulb was on, it will remain on and give you light for about 3 hrs +, however if power went and the Bulb 💡 was off, all you have to do is flick your light switch on and you will have light for about 3-4 hrs.
No need to remove the Bulb 💡 from the wall socket, just use it as a regular Bulb 💡 and save electricity at the same time, because it a 9W Bulb 💡 that puts out 60W of light, so you save electricity. 👍

It's handheld with a small built on tripod. It lights from front and or the side. It lasts for 28 to 32 hours per charge. I bought 2 from Amazon. I put one in my chicken coop over night. From 6 pm until 7 am. It was still bright when I went in the. It sets upside down on the tripod and It fits my regular tripod. They way outlast these light bulbs if you need a longer alternative. 😁😎

I just got some but a different brand. I don't know how you would consider these useful in a power out situation. They don't last long enough. You would be better getting a battery powered light with rechargable batteries. Charge batteries off of a solar generator.
