I’ve had some similar to these. But I think I’ll get them. We’ve had so many outages in California this year. I also love the inflatable lanterns that are solar powered. They stay charged for months and can’t really break at all. I’ve got 6. They’ve come in handy many many times

the company collects whether you are thrifty or wasteful with electric, which then gives them your credit rating and trustworthiness for credit. amongst hundreds of other judgements about your person. Don't be fooled by 'smart tech' it is Orwellian Nightmare, and i speak as one of the first people who wanted it, before i realised about the inter company/agency info sharing about us with PRISM members. I have a light I bought for 3 dollars that takes 4 aa rechargeables... I left it on when I went to sleep. It was very bright... In the morning 9 hours later it was still on. Just not as bright as before but it was bright enough to light the entire room still... These bulbs are around $64 for a four pack and their battery keeps the bulb lit for only 4 hours... Then it gets extremely dim. And out completely...
Always check around at your other options before buying these things...Unless you're filthy rich... Then it doesn't matter...

I think most of the people are demanding "Emergency Downlight bulb", but the market is just for the standard bulb with cheap prices....That's why many of those, are having many problems due to the lack of the thermal dissipation design.
Would you buy if there is a good emergency bulb for downlight with 1000lm and 440lm at the emergency mode with 3 hrs backup, or 220lm with 6 hrs backup, with around US$100-200?

I have a question for you. I have a tall pole lamp I have to run an extension cord to because it's in the middle of a room and there is no duplex outlet located nearby. I'd like to replace the existing incandescent bulb with this one, get rid of the extension cord and unplug the lamp from the electrical outlet. Will it be possible to manually turn the light off even though the bulb senses a "power outage" because the lamp is no longer plugged in, or will it want to stay on until the battery goes dead? I realize I will have to occasionally plug the lamp in to recharge the Lithium Ion battery, but this would allow me to eliminate the extension cord running across the floor all the time.

Can you unplug it while its on? Does it go on automatically when power goes out or is it more like a flashlight you unscrew as needed?

I love these lights, but be advised that they will not work with any electronically controlled switch . This means anything controlled by Alexa or her cousins. Or any motion sensing light switch . The circuitry in these devices will not allow you to turn the light on after the power has failed because the circuit itself is not getting power. Other than that, these are great lights
