I was a plane captain. I inspected, oiled, fueled, strapped the pilot & BN in their ejection seat, got their planes started, went thru the preflight duties & sent them on there way to fly. We went to Fallon for bombing practice. The pilots & BNs had to qualify before they could go to a fleet squadron. We also went to Yuma, Az. US Marine base for bombing qualification. They had Harriers based there. They could take off vertically. They were an English made jet. GO NAVY !!!!!!!

Pronghorn, jackrabbits, & coyotes hang out here in this arid mountainous desert. Mtn Man Mike cruises out here! He shifts into warp drive with no jake, & watches the past fade away! No question, Mike gets the mission done, always on schedule! Thanks Mike!
I use to get buzzed by some jets at night south of Fallon and Hawthorne. It would really wake you up.We would also get buzzed at night by copters north of Winnemucca and Jordan Valley from Mountian Home Air Force Base
That was cool with the jets going by. There would be places in eastern Oregon where they would play. Went to a motorcycle rally in Winnemucca years ago. Went from Salem, Oregon to Reno. Stayed a night then off to Winnemucca. The weather wasn’t the best. When we left to go to Burns, Oregon on 95, the river was almost touching the bottom side of the bridge.
When I drove for Schneider ten years ago for a few years when I was laid off from my airline job , I couldn't pass a Pilot without stopping for coffee. Pilot has great coffee.
How awesome was that Mike, with the Military Jets buzzing by you. I agree with you 100% with the American Flag flying in those cities and towns. That plane scared the s out of me. That's a cool town. I worked for a company that stripped mined back in the 70's. After they reclaimed the land it was worthless. The only job I had that made me feel bad about what was going on. Destroying the land. It was all about the money.
The end of this video was sad for me. One of my sisters was killed near Battle Mountain on highway 80. My nephew and his fiancee were fine. The Preacher of a church there in Battle Mountain were so kind to them. They watched over them until my brother-in-law could drive there to handle things. People reading this: NEVER drive tired. It maybe a straight and lonely road but it can get to you if you are tired. I guess that is why you like heavy metal music Mike.

I have seen F (whatever #) flying over my house....not good when they do. I live 2 miles from Travis AFB and once they were checking out a Cesna flying to close to the Bay Bridge and now with thjngs heating up. The day of the false alarm in HI my husband and I saw an AWACS plane...not good either. After going to an air show at Travis AFB about a month ago I learned a grade school and high school classmate of mine used to fly these jets and even did the shows at Travis. (He is now a retired United pilot). I don't know who has bigger b#$%s you or him.
If you added up all of those who died in service to their country form Calforinia, and New York, it would dwarf the numbers from any of those inter mountain states, despite those slacker like Trump from NewYork who got his family doctor to get him a defferment for bone spurs.
