I've been making my own lures , fly's, jigs , spoons, for years now and in my opinion you sir are a dam genius i tip my hat to you , your spinner baits have motivated me to a new level, thank you .
FANTASTIC HOW TO VIDEO !!!! Caught my first surface pike last summer on a buzzbait, after years of trying and failing, with poppers and crawlers etc........ Will definately have a go at making my own.
. Que eu não falo que você é linguagem e obrigado pelo elogio. Eu costumava pescar na Escócia com um amigo de São Paulo. Tivemos grandes momentos usando estes Rigs Sabiki, pego peixe grande e teve grandes refeições. Obrigado por me lembrar. .I do not speak you're language and thank you for praise. I used to go fishing in Scotland with a friend from Sao Paulo. We had great times using these Sabiki Rigs, caught great fish and had great meals. Thank you for reminding me.
Awesome presentation , i like the part where you have links to drawings on most of the videos, actually am gonna make myself a buzz blade right now. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
sorry I think i need to look at that again, i have posted 2 new links in the description that will take you directly to the drawing or the list of tools and materials which can be down-loaded. Thanks for pointing that out
top water piking is nuts, i like the way you get that surface wave as the pike moves in for the kill, roll on summer. Cheers Paul Adams Let me no how you get on making the buzz bait
It depends a bit on how you want it to swim, to get it to surface i have found a bit of speed plus raising the rod tip a few feet off the surface will bring it up, then i can slow down a bit. In the video it is not running that fast but i could of reduced the pace a little and still kept it at the surface. The rotating blade creates lift, so if i reduce the speed the lift is reduced and i can get it to run sub surface almost putting a bulge in the top film of water. Hope That helps
I'm definitely making some Buzzbaits and Spinners once I have money to buy materials, seem like the easiest to make! And who doesnt love a good spinnerbait?
Hello Paul, I am sport fisherman in Brazil and I watched his videos and I liked a lot, I learned a lot from them, and so I would like to know where can I find the sheet with the model of the buzz bait propeller. I would be very happy if you can help me make my own spinners. Here in the region where I fish traíras (H. malabaricus), and would like to try these baits. Thank you, and sorry for my bad English.
you a BAD BAD MAN! thanks to you santa is getting me a new airbrush, a load of weird plastic mold making solutions, since about 18 months ago and i saw one of your vids i am actually a man obsessed....NO i have not caught any monster on anything i have made with your help, but i have had a 10lb,6oz jack/pike on a the fox (cough cough) i mean PHOX plug, (mine was in a rather sexy brown trout (dont know why no brown trout in the place) but that Jack felt like a 30lber because i made the plug from scratch! dont want to sound over romantic but i think i had the same feeling of acheivment landing that as i did that first roach on a dried out worm when i was 7! happy xmas mate
G on a mission Happy days, i still get that buzz but i forget that most people buy lures from shops and miss out on that mad feeling. I never fish for monsters i fish because being stood in water hold a fishing rod is some other place i get to visit where magic happens but double are always welcome. There is Lure Makers Anonymous but rather than try to confront your addiction they actually encourage it a bit like an AA meeting in the bar. Happy Christmas, i am hoping Santa is bringing me some more split rings. A have happy new year, i have to go an make wife's Christmas present and she don't want no fishing lures.
Bravo esto es otra faceta de la pesca, tratare de hacer mi Buzzweit, me pueden informar que calibre usar del alambre y lámina y tipo de SS,' gracias anticipadas, saludos de Chihuahua México
ok made two types of buzzbaits with stainless tig wire. you was right. the one like you explained in your video did not work very well due to the wire being to soft. the other was a in-line buzz based on your video. it worked better the perfect.
i remember the first time i saw pike turn back on itself at the surface to swipe at one of these, the reason it missed was because the water was like soup and i think it had felt the vibration but was hunting blind. sometimes i think they are the most ridiculous lures, but they work. Glad to hear you came up with another solution, thanks
***** here where i am at in the states, we have tons of floating moss and pads. the louder and more crazy the lure is, the better chance you have to get them from their pockets and strike.
Dean Watt It something i have never thought about, just looking back at older lures i made it seems ok, just the odd chip as you would expect, the weight tends to get hit the most but i seldom fish these anywhere near the bottom
Just a thought, put some heat shrink tubbing in the hook, so you can't get cut by the process on doing this, then remove it when you finish, because I see your fingers get a lot of cuts.

Fantastic!!!!

one day i will make it over the pond (Atlantic)and do some proper fishing.
How did the powder coating hold up after a couple of fish? Great channel, keep up the good work!
Dean Watt It something i have never thought about, just looking back at older lures i made it seems ok, just the odd chip as you would expect, the weight tends to get hit the most but i seldom fish these anywhere near the bottom
Hi Paul like the vid but can you substitute galvanised wire for the stainless steel wire you are using…I take it its stainless steel
how long you use.for make buzzbait and spinner bait
Just a thought, put some heat shrink tubbing in the hook, so you can't get cut by the process on doing this, then remove it when you finish, because I see your fingers get a lot of cuts.
Roel Flores The cuts are not from making fishing lures occasionally i do other stuff
